"Waterkettle, free bottles of mineral water, teabags and clean bathroom."
Klas - April 3, 2019

Front desk man spoke good English and room was bigger than normal, enough space for a suitcase without having to climb over it to get to the bathroom.

Did the job”
My girlfriend and I stayed in the Goodrich Hotel for 3 nights. Although quite small, the standard double room we booked did its job by giving us a comfortable place to rest and relax when we weren't out and about in the city. Our main concern for this trip was seeing as much as we could of Hong Kong as possible, so we did not intend to be in the room much. Goodrich hotel was a cheap, affordable place to stay. Its convenient location was a plus! We could get to the MTR in under 5 minutes.
Perfect Location”
goodrich hotel is located near nathan road, near bus stops and the jordan mtr station. the rooms are small but very comfortable. they also have big rooms so you can specify which rooms you want to get. the turndown service was very efficient and the 24hr reception was also very informative. rooms were reasonable priced considering that we booked on peak season, (november).
Very nice hotel for the money”
The hotel is very nice. If you read other reviews people complain about the location. It is on a steep hill and it is a far from Nathan road but I only found this to be a problem the first day when I arrived tired from 15 hour flight and wanted to get to the hotel and rest. The room size is ok, not much room for luggage. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom I think was big for Hong Kong standards. The hotel is a great location close to supermarkets, bars, and night life. The hotel is a deal because it is in the same area as hotels twice the price. I would recommend and stay their again.
Small, cute, cozy room”
After reading the other reviews I was a bit sceptical but I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was easy to find near Jordan Station Exit A, fast check-in, and the room was superbly clean and very cosy. There was no window so to wake up I had to put on the bathroom light around 6am to introduce some light to wake me up slowly, but I didn't mind. Sure the room was small but it was part of the novelty of staying in Hong Kong! It's enough for one person, and the tv had one English channel. Importantly there was shampoo and a hairdryer. The receptionist spoke very good English.
Great location, clean and helpful, friendly staff”
Very close to Jordan MTR station (Exit A). Walking distance to Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok, and Tsim Sha Tsui. Next to the famous Jade Night Market. Restaurants and eating houses are nearby, open almost 24 hours! Minutes away from a bus station which provides direct express buses to the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Attended to your requests promptly. All facilities worked great for me, wifi, hot water, aircon and TV. I stayed there for 7 nights, and they cleaned the room daily to maintain the freshness of the room. A bottle of mineral water provided daily. The only cons is that i spotted some guests smoking inside the building near the lift lobby on the floor i was staying. If that could stop, that would be even better. I highly recommend Goodrich Hotel to other visitors.
Very nice hotel :)”
The hotel is great though the rooms are very small and the price is still reasonable. If ever I'll go back to Hong Kong I'll surely stay here again for sure. The staffs are very accommodating and they speak good English. MTR in Jordan is very near. Also Temple street, which is where the night market is, is very near because it is located next to the street where Goodrich is locted. Also money exchangers are near. Mcdo and KFC are near. There are a lot of restaurants near by. Very nice hotel.
price is right”
Hotel prices have gotten ridiculous in Hong Kong, to the point where I frequently schedule trips so I can just stay in Shenzhen instead for a third of the cost. So, the Goodrich is reasonably priced, although what I got was a room that was the size of a closet, no windows. I can't complain, it's about the same price as the backpacker places, and certainly cleaner. But seriously, what is it about Hong Kong that causes hotels there to be 3 times the price of places in other large Asian cities? Plus, to be frank, HK is kind of a dull tourist destination if you've already been there once.
Great hotel for the price”
The hotel was very easy to find and conveniently located in regards to the MTR station. It is about 2 blocks from Exit A of Jordan Station. It is also walking distance to the market streets in the area. There is a lot to do around the hotel and the front desk staff were friendly and had good communicative English skill. There was no restaurant however the dining options in the area were varied and delicious. Also the hotel has reliable and free wifi. Some of the drawbacks included a very cramped elevator that moved extremely slowly. Also the room was very small, but I have stayed in much smaller rooms in Hong Kong so I am wont to de-emphasize that as a serious con. Another issue was that I was able to hear the guests in the adjacent room both because they were extremely noisy and also because the doors seem to be designed to block no noise at all. It was strange to hear voices seemingly coming from the hallway that actually originated in the rooms. All in all I was very happy at the Goodrich Hotel, and in the future would stay there again. The location, and comfortable though basic accomodations make it well worth the price.
Location, location, location”
Stayed 4 nights for business, including a day off to look around Hong Kong. Immediate proximity to MTR station (Jordan Rd), made both easy. Front desk staff knowledgeable and helpful in orienting and sorting all the possibilities. Many good, local restaurants within few-block radius was very convenient. Hotel is almost part of famous night market - recommend room on an upper floor for soundproofing. Excellent shopping, Kowloon Park are an easy walk. Good shower, room was kept spotless.
Great location, TINY rooms”
The Goodrich has a spacious lobby. But the rooms are tiny. There is no closet--you get a few plastic hangers and hanging-rod projecting from the wall. The shower stall is so small it's difficult to turn around. I'm used to small hotel rooms in Hong Kong and throughout Japan, but the Goodrich gives you the absolute minimum. One pillow, one towel, one bed, one bathroom and enough room to move--that's it. More than one person in this room would be troublesome. The hotel is well located, staff are efficient, air-con and TV and Wi-Fi work well. It's the bare minimum of the hotelier arts. Be warned, but if you just want a cubicle during your HK stay, this place is fine--better than a guesthouse.
Great Location but small rooms (expected in HK)”
Can't really fault my stay here to be honest. Was very cheap and in a fantastic location. You are a 5 minute walk from Jordan MTR Station (Exit A) which is great to have!. You're also pretty much on Nathan Road which is good too!. People will say these rooms are really small..They are..Especially the single room, but considering that you are in Hong Kong and every room is small (as space is so precious out there), it's something just to live with. Free WiFi on each floor, printing facility downstairs. What more can you ask for!. Staff also very helpful too
Great location but very small room”
The double room was really small but as I knew earlier that most hotel rooms in Hong Kong are small, my friend and I brought smaller luggages which helped alot and made things easy for us. The hotel provided clean towels everyday and there's even a mini fridge in the room which helped to keep the beer chill. Awesome. Would be good if the hotel provided a floor mat/towel as the bathroom became dangerously slippery after each shower. Hotel's location is AWESOME with the famous Hui Lau Shan mango dessert place and Mak's Wanton noodles just opposite the main road. Jordan MTR is 5 minutes away. Tsui Wah HK Cafe is also just around the corner. Would most probably stay here again! :D
Strategic Location, Room extremely small”
overall a value for money stay at goodrich. the price was reasonable, especially in hkg. alot of good food around the area, until late at night. for those who are not used to local foods, 24hours mcdonalds is just around the corner. just a mere 5mins walk to the jordan mtr station, and if you are heading to /came from the ferry terminal, it is also walkable to goodrich hotel for about 15mins. the room is just too small, you know it when you have to step into the bathroom first in order to close the room door.
A little gem”
Usually HK budget hotels mean small rooms and hard to find entrances but Goodrich has a huge sign making it easy to locate and an entrance from the street. Front desk man spoke good English and room was bigger than normal, enough space for a suitcase without having to climb over it to get to the bathroom. Waterkettle, free bottles of mineral water, teabags and clean bathroom. Easy to find bus stop going to airport. We are satisfied paying only $45 for a night.
Inexpensive, clean, safe BUT TiNY room w/o window”
As HK hotels keep getting more expensive, I keep looking for more cost effective hotels to stay in. I've done OK in 5-7 prior stays BUT for the Goodrich perhaps I was too frugal. On the positive side, it has great location (two blocks from Jordan MTR, one block from Temple St Night Market, three short blocks from the A21 bus on Nathan to HKIA), was clean, modern, safe with quite helpful, English speaking staff. BUT the room was really TINY, had no closet (just a hook on the wall to hang a few shirts on), no place to store luggage ("stored" my carry-on standing vertically and packed/unpacked on the bed), just a small night table to place my things on and a modern, clean but small bathroom with cramped shower. Strangely, the room had only one (large) towel (and no bath rug) so after showering I had to step into my slippers (provided everyday) to towel dry off. (I was able to request a second towel for subsequent days) AND no soap for the sink (but it did have a soap tray into which I could squirt some of the combo shampoo/bath soap in the shower). The price and location were really good but not the cramped, windowless room. Guess I have to bump up my cost the next time.
small cozy hotel in a great location”
another stay at the goodrich hotel that was quite pleasant. check-in was easy as the staff was friendly and remember me from previous times. although the internet was quite slow... it came with everything that i needed as a solo traveler.
Great Location but small room”
1. Comfortable bed and clean although small room as compare with staying guest house at Tsim Sha Tsui. 2. Safe security as compare with guest house at Tsim Sha Tsui. 3. Hotel Standard as compare with guest house. 4. If you are searching reasonable room price with hotel standard type, Goodrich is the one.
Fine budget hotel”
This is definitely a budget hotel: There is only one towel, one pillow, one bedcover. No windows. The shower works fine - water pressure is medium to low, but steady, as is water temperature. The wifi worked fine. The room is indeed quite small, but this is Hong Kong. The location is pretty good, although Jordan winds up requiring some transfers on the metro.
Smallest room ever”
In spite of this being the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in - The Goodrich Hotel was a fine place. If you are claustrophobic or a large person - not for you. The room was so small it was curious but all the essentials were there. It was clean, not brand new but not old either, good flat screen TV (not much English language but that is typical of most of Asia), water was hot with plenty of pressure, wifi worked very well and the price was OK. For single business travelers, loners on a budget - I would recommend the Goodrich. If you need space to stretch out... not a good choice. My trip needed to be extended by one night and I could not rebook the Goodrich for the same price. I believe they were full up. With a little searching, I found another place on the same street for the same price and it had much larger rooms. Next time, I'll opt for the larger room if it is available but if it isn't, the Goodrich would be just fine.
Very near for transfortation near MTR @ restaurant”
We have a very good stay, even through our is small but very much clean, and very near temple night market. Not to mention almost 3 mins walk to MTR exit A. & also near to mcdonalds. If your planning to go shopping temple night market is just next street from goodrich hotel. Tip: the goodrich hotel located at the back of mcdonalds. If your in mcdonalds jordan road near exit A. Fronting mcdonalds just walk to the right then turn left then turn right beside 7/11 store.
