Overnight sop-over at Goondiwindi”
We have stopped the the Goondiwindi Motel before. Goondiwindi is an excellent overnight stop between Central/Northern Queensland and southern NSW. The town itself is clean and has all facilities for a brief stay. The Motel is a little out of the main town area which suited us as our main requirement was a sound overnight sleep. We will stop there again when the situation arises.

Comfortable motel which fully met our expectations”
I guess the "title" says it all. The Motel completely met our expectations. We stopped for one night to break our 1300km journey and everything was adequate. Goondiwindi is conveniently locate on the NSW/Queensland border and is a pleasant town with most facilities for a short break. The Motel was reasonably priced compared to other Motels, but was a little far from the town centre but luckily well signposted.

An oasis in the night”
Our stay was wonderful. We arrived in the evening, after sundown and being one of the only cars on the road we were needing to get to our destination. As we drove closer the Motel was a warm light in the distance. Once we arrived and were greeted by a helpful smile. Our room was clean and a perfect size for our family of four. We would definitely stay again.

Great Place for an Overnight Stopover”
For an overnight stop during my travels this was a great place to stay. There was a great outdoor BBQ/Pool area to relax in, the restaurant was great (with delicious food) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and tidy, although the décor was a bit out-dated and probably due for a freshen up. The bathroom had obviously been updated more recently than the rest of the room. Location is only a little away from the main part of town, however this meant that the area was much quieter than if it was on the main thoroughfare so that was good. Having the restaurant on site also meant that I didn't need to go back into town after I arrived anyway.

Okay Motel”
Good undercover parking, comfortable beds and good shower. The main drawbacks for us were the number of mosquitos already in the room & bathroom, no microwave or toaster (we had to ask for a loan toaster & would have to pay extra for a microwave), only one bedside lamp for the queen bed and a small fridge that hadn't been turned on for our arrival despite having booked & paid for the room weeks earlier! Our one night stay in transit from Adelaide to Brisbane was okay since we carried out own mozzie-zapper but otherwise the many mosquitos would have made for a very sleepless night. Next time we will try another motel.

Reasonable Property, Unfortunately Designed Room”
Like many of the properties of this type the facilities provided were adequate for the required job. It was certainly quite reasonably priced, clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The Restaurant serves good food and is in close proximity to the rooms. On the downside the triple room was far too small for three people. With three people in the room you could not move around unless the other two people where on their bed. The most unfortunate design of the room would be the bathroom that provided for almost no privacy. This would have been sufficient for a couple but certainly not a family.

Value for Money”
The stay was comfortable. We had three adults staying in a room with one double bed and one single bed. Given this, there was not much free space in the room. Insufficient milk was provided for three guests - we were provided with a mere 300ml bottle, only enough for one cup each.

Old motel”
It is an old motel with very few upgrades taken place in recent times. The rooms were showing ageing and the surrounds were just satisfactory. I would not stay there again. It was on the highway once but the highway now takes a different route and does pass this motel anymore.
