GR Solaris”
My husband and I chose this resort as a long weekend getaway and we’re so glad we did! Only 10-15 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival we were asked to pay an additional $350 for an upgraded room (we chose a basic interior room with city view) however after politely declining the upgrade they ended up upgrading us for free to a beachfront room with a jacuzzi!! This resort was very beautiful and clean. The staff was amazing. The food was decent. There was always something we could eat. Marco Polo and Zai were fantastic! Check in and check out we’re very smooth. Our room was cleaned once a day. And there was always some activities or entertainment going on. For the price, you can’t beat it!

Exceptional ”
We stayed there for a week, toured the Yucatán for a few weeks and we loved the place so much we came back for another week. The entire staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Everything was super clean. Our room looked different everyday with different arrangements of flowers and linens. Our maid (Rosario) was a very creative linen artist and we loved the different arrangements she provided each day we were there, a new experience for us. We would definitely go back.

Trip for two sisters”
The resort was more beautiful than expected. The price was unbelievable fair and the staff were completely attentive and kind. The food wasn’t spectacular which I expected as I’ve heard the foods inside the resorts aren’t great anywhere in Cancun, but it definitely wasn’t bad. Overall a 5 out of 5 experience. I definitely recommend!

Enjoyed our stay”
Hotel was probably geared for younger couples or families. Food was fine, we don't drink much but drinks always available at the various bars and in the minibar in the room. We upgraded to a room with a bath and larger balcony. Overall we enjoyed our stay but being an older couple wewould prefer somewhere quieter.

GR Solaris staff treats you very well. The food was good, specialty restaurants were great. Pools were fun. Public Hot tub need to be updated some jets didn’t work. Overall 9 out of 10!

My girlfriend and I stay for two nights for her birthday, the resort is nice, a bit old but still functional , only problem during check-in the hotel didn't had my booking informations and I had to pay again for a night, which get refund the day after once they received the informations from Agoda. Thank you very much to Hamilton, bartender in the main lobby for his special attentions and very good service as well a Lelo, bartender in the bar of the swimming pool who provide us a very special service too, Hamilton and Lelo made our stay very special and contribute to make our stay amazing. The pizza by the Adult Pool are very good as well.

Best Budget All Inclusive ”
Pros : of their 3 restaurants Marco Polo made the trip worth it - Feliziano was an extraordinary server. Beach small but ok. Staff awesome. Pool is nice, rooms are ok.They got superb training and facilities for Coronavirus prevention. Breakfast at Solaris cafeteria awesome.This resort because has the best Budget price. Great for only a weekend escape. Cons: drinks and food suck at all bars, except their marco polo. DO NOT GET CONVINCED INTO GOING FOR A "VIP BREAKFAST" AT THEIR SISTER Hotel.Their lobby staff will sway you into signing up. If you agree to it, You will later meet a Rep who will pressure you for 4hrs to sign up for their "benefits program" and buy a condo(s) by the beach. If you refuse, you get referred to 2 more higher up's who keep pressuring you to invest. Anyway, if you can survive it, you get a free bottle of tequila and massage coupons. Was it worth it? Lost 4hrs of all my all inclusive weekend. Sandos was a far better choice if you wanna dish up more $$$.

The food was not good at all. And the service was not satisfying. I once got ignored by the waiter. Location is not bad, but you could still find other places closer to the downtown. It is close to the airport though.

We had a wonderful stay at GR Solaris Cancun Resort. This day was simply an additional day added on to our 4 night stay because we didn't want to leave! Peter, our concierge was a great help. The entire Entertainment Staff kept us included in all activities, and kept everything very fun! I wish I had half of their energy! Our servers, especially David in Marco Polo, and Mayky in the buffet, were exceptional! Wish they would have free WiFi throughout the hotel. Would have made booking another night easier. Also wish the food would have been a bit on the more exceptional side, but for an all-inclusive, it was good.

Pros- Really friendly staff and hotel cleanliness 10+. Got to see a sea turtle lay it’s eggs at the hotel beach (trip highlight) Based on these I would recommend with the following cautions: Cons- Pool closes at 10:00pm, dining reservation restriction of 24hrs. Located at beginning hotel area making it far to town and attractions. Cancun con- beaches aren’t what they used to be. Full of seaweed. I think this might be the end of the emerald waters and white sand beaches.

I should have probably paid more attention to the reviews regarding the food. They had a few of options in terms of restaurants but I really did not care for the food. If you aren’t a picky eater then this place is for you but otherwise I’d consider a different resort.

Dear Taylor: The menus are monitored regularly; also we enquire constantly our guest's desires and opinions to succeed a perfect menu in our buffets. In our restaurants every day we offer different themed menus. As well, we also have a snack by the pool and a pizza station. Also, we offer at least 2 dinner choices.
