Awful service and needs an upgrade”
Booked a 4 bed dorm with Agoda. Turns out it is still booked via booking.com. When I arrived they stated they had a booking for a 8 bed dorm however I showed them my booking and payment. They made me take the 8 bedroom which was quite old and dated room. The service was poor from the staff and they appeared not interested. Would not use again
This hostel had a great location in Barcelona. It was on a small side block so definitely get directions on how to get there. It is a few blocks away from the metro. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. I think it would be great for a solo traveler because they have a lot of hostel activities and events.
You feel like home”
The staff was very friendly, it was very clean, you feel like home, cooking in the evening, a chat here and there. Problems were solved immediately. Gracia is a very nice court, you find a lot of nice locations for eating, drinking, enjoying music. We stayed 5 nights there and we felt very good. Thank you very much to the whole team.
Gracia City Hostel Review”
My stay went well. The only think I have to say that's bad is that the staff doesn't always respect privacy. They often knock on doors and walk into rooms before anyone can answer, or just walk into the bathrooms without knocking. Other than that, things went well.
2 Euros for damp and dirty towel, 5 dollars for lockers, too crampy rooms.
It's great. The place is clean, staffs are friendly.
perfect relation quality-price”
Really nice, I would like to comeback early !!! Hostel is perfect to meet people, and Barcelona is really cool !!
don't go for 8-bed female dorm”
I liked staying in the Gracia city hostel but the room I chose was VERY small. It was even difficult to walk in the room coz the distance between beds and the wall was about a meter broad. Also, the room was very close to the street, which I believe is generally quite (not the main street) but the night I was staying there, it was noisy till 1am or later. I could here every word. However, that was the first time I stayed in a hostel so I can't say whether it was bad or good for a hostel. The staff was very nice and helpful, spoke English, gave good suggestions abt what to see and where to eat. The also lend a lock for a locker where you can keep your docs (free of charge) and also let me store my luggage for 10 hours after my chek-out (also free of charge). That was great!! The shared bathrooms were clean and overall fine. Location is good but I bit tricky to find. I was traveling with a bag so walking slowly and I took me about 10-12 minutes (from the nearest exit of Diagonal station). I guess my advice is: choose this hostel if you are looking for an affordable place to stay but don't go for a female dorm, or better call up and ask for a room further away from the street coz I've heard others travelers complain of noise.
Brilliant hostel with modern facilities”
Brilliant hostel with modern facilities and really friendly staff, they felt like friends as soon as we checked in. Everything you want from a hostel is here, easy to meet people.
Excellent value for money in central location”
Located in Barcelona's elegant and cosmopolitan district of Gracia, this centrally located property within walking distance from Passeig de Gracia's major landmarks (including La Pedrera) and next to a tube station, provides excellent value for money for the discerning budget traveller. Rooms are chic and spotless and the staff very pleasant, friendly and always happy to help. The vibe is also excellent and guests come from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life. I would happily recommend this establishment to my friends and family.
