Nice Hotel”

Comfortable

attended by a pretty, sweet lady at the reception with all smiles after an ordeal of travelling to the splendidly clean hotel gave a sense of relief. i'm impressed by the calm and fast response from the receptionist when i handed her my wrinkled email confirmation. the ambience of the hotel is very nice and it looks as though it has been newly renovated. the toliet at the lobby is also very spacious, clean and equiped with dressing tables. the same goes for the twin-sharing room. i'm really happy with my short stay at grand ambassador seoul associated with pullman where shuttle buses are provided to nearby popular places such as myeongdong. the city tour bus for tourists especially stops right at the entrance of the hotel too which is very convenient. if not for rushing to another destination, i would have stayed longer and try the breakfast in the hotel. i'm glad to have chosen this hotel for my first visit to seoul.

Good but not the 5 Star”

Hourly Suttle Bus, Good value for money, Nespresso in the room, Close to Subway station

Stayed Grand Ambassador Hotel Seoul for 3 nights. Good value for money for 5 star hotel close to Downtown Seoul. I felt very uncomfortable at the check-in desk due to massive Chinese group making unbareable noise in the lobby. Stayed in their basic room (superior room), therefore room was quite basic but comfortable enough with all the amenities, including iron & iron board, personal safe, free bottles of water daily, bathrobe & sleeper. I love the Nespresso machine in the room. 6 pods were provided, 2 free daily and extra pods charged 2000 won (U$2) each. Free Wi-Fi avaiable in the Lobby and cost 15,000+ in the room. I think it's free in Deluxe rooms. Hourly suttle bus to downtown shopping area is very handy. Easy 5 minutes walk to the Subway station (Orange Line) Airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel. Good Gym with heaps of cardio machine and some weight equipments, but swimming pool(indoor) is very basic and not inviting (ok for doing few laps but definitely not resort style) Overall I was satisfied and nothing to complain about. I would stay Grand Ambassador Seoul again if I could get similar price

Seoul experience”

Very good location, good level of services, very good fitness and relax - sauna facilities.
The room key do not works properly, it was necessary rewrite the key card a few times.

Ambassador Hotel – Seoul has very good location for me personally, as all my Seoul stays are connected to cooperation with Dongguk University, located next to the hotel. Hotel has got very good level of the services, starting at the room service, high level of restaurant services and meal quality. The shuttle bus to city centre is good, sometime in the morning the bus was overcrowded. The reception desk service was anytime very good, all the staff is high level professional. I appreciate very good fitness and relax - sauna facilities. There are some small weaknesses of the hotel there - the room key do not works properly. It was necessary a few times rewrite the key card to be able to open the room. One more remark - the internet connection could be included into the room price. For example in Japan is free of charge in most of hotels. As summary I can recommend the service of the Ambassador Hotel – Seoul to my colleagues.

Great for Both Business and Leisure Travelers”

Free Shuttle Bus services

Grand Ambassador Hotel is great for both business and leisure travelers alike. The hotel proximity to major shopping districts like Dongdaemung, Myeongdong, Itaewon and so on...are especially great for first-timers to Seoul. Moreover, these locations are so easily accessible with the shuttle buses that are provided by the hotel. Even during the wee hours at night, you can get back to hotel by taxi at around 5 to 10 USD by the above mentioned places. Last but not least, the hotel is new and well maintained. It has a very business-like decorations which it is why it scores perfect for the executive and business travelers. Overall, we are pleased with the impeccable services by the hotel. We would choose Grand Ambassador Hotel again when we come back to Seoul next time!

Very nice hotel with good service”

Very clean and comfortable room, staff spoke good English

We had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Ambassador Seoul. The staff spoke English well and were happy to help with questions, directions, etc. The location is quite convenient - just a few minutes walk from Dongguk University subway station, or a ten-minute taxi ride from central Myeongdong. If you want a non-smoking room, I recommend emailing the hotel and requesting one before you arrive - I did and we were upgraded to the executive floor for free, but a couple that were checking in at the same time as us hadn't and were told there were no non-smoking rooms available.

Great location, nice hotel”

Great service, Great location, shuttle bus to major shopping district/food district

the hotel is in great location, 2 station away from myeong dong. 5-10 mins taxi to insadong, itewon etc. hotel concierge is super friendly, they help us to charge our ipad/iphone as we forgot to take one with us. hotel buffet breakfast is good. lots of international food. it must be one of the top hotel in downtown seoul as there are quite some business men in the hotel. we even saw some newsreporter as we were told some celebrity was there. it is not as cheap as some other hotel, but the free shuttle bus will probably get it worth as the traffic is quite bad, and if you are not taking the subway, it can get quite expensive sometimes. i will highly recommend this hotel and will definitly stay again. the only thing is that if you use the hotel jacuzzi/spa, you will have to pay.

Excellent hotel with great amenities”

Great staff

We were a group of 13 people staying on the executive floor in 6 separate rooms for 3 nights at the Grand Ambassador Hotel. The rooms were lovely, housekeeping was great and breakfast more than sufficient in the lounge as was drinks in the evening. The hotel should be commended on their staff who provided excellent service and no request was too much trouble. David the concierge was our "personal" tour guide. Our first visit to Seoul was a very positive experience mainly because of the staff at this hotel.

Reasonable”

Easy access to Myondong and Dongdaemun, airport shuttle bus (every 30 min)
Terrible cocktail drinks

You may find this hotel overrated. If you would like to stay at five-star luxury hotel, you should select Shilla Hotel rather than Grand Ambassador Hotel. However, Grand Ambassador provides comfortable rooms at very reasonable price ranges. I would recommend this hotel for travelers for shopping. You can save your accommodation charge and transportation time and buy more at duty free shops.

If we went back to Seoul we know were we would be going back to the Grand Ambassador hotel . Their is a shuttle bus straight from airport to hotel and the tourist bus also pulls up straight out side hotel . The buffet was of 5 star standard and truly an amazing experience. A short walk down to some great restaurants made life easy also . Room was clean and comfortable. Peter and Tania Australia

Fantastic Service, great location.”

Great rooms, staff outstanding and keen to help without wanting to sell services (like some hotels.

We have stayed there before and will always choose to stay with the Grand Ambassador. Easy to get to with the KAL bus and close to the centre of Seoul without the hussle and bussle. Its proximity to the North Tower Park is a real plus especially if you want somewhere to walk. Only disappointing thing is that free internet in rooms seems to have disappeared since we stayed there last year but this is no different to anywhere else. Drinks in bar a little expensive. Great work and great staff.

Great accomodation for my first trip to Seoul”

facilities are great, service is superb, room is big, nice view of n seoul tower, hassle-free checking in & out

I have nothing negative to say about Grand Ambassador. It is more expensive than other hotels in Seoul but it was worth every penny. It's within the Myeongdong area and close to shopping areas. They even provide a free shuttle bus to Myeongdong shopping area, Insadong, Dongdaemun & etc. Even if you want to take a cab, it won't be too expensive. Had a blast with my sister staying here. Highly recommended!

Pleasant experience at Sofitel Ambassador”

Close proximity to all major shopping and tourist attractions in Seoul. Plus they provide free shuttle bus which is very convenient to first time visitors. Very attentive and good room service.
Room is small if you are staying with family but just nice if solo or couple.

I stayed for four nights when I was in Seoul for conference. It was a very pleasant experience throughout my stay. Highly recommended to business and leisure traveler due to close proximity to CBD and major shopping and tourist attractions in Seoul. Just love the free shuttle bus services to Myeong-Dong, Itaewon, Insadong, Namdaemun and Dongdaemun market. I think the room service charges are reasonable for Seoul standard. Definitely will stay again if ever visit Seoul again.

Grand Ambassador Seoul”

Received an upgrand from Superior to Deluxe room upon check in, which was a pleasant surprise. Room was spacious, with big bathroom, complimentary use of coffee machine and everything you'd expect in a 5 star hotel. The room had floorboards which further added to the decor of the room. Helpful english speaking reception and concierge staff.
No free wifi which is common in other hotels of this calibre.

Overall our stay at the Grand Ambassador was pleasant. We liked the close proximity to Myeondong and Dongdaemun areas. Guests can also conveniently access any area in the city by taking a 5 minute walk to the subway station nearby. The concierge was pleasant and accomodating in giving directions and advice, even going so far as to advise us of better alternatives if he thought certian attractions were considered expensive by local standards. Also can conveniently utilise airport shuttle as bus stops literally outside lobby, however Grand Ambassador is one of the last stops from the airport which increases travel time to the airport.
