Good location. breakfast is OK.Clean rooms
Good value for money”
We stayed 10 days in Saar Inn at the Exec. Room (i.e their best room). Room was spacious, sheets are clean and changed daily, but not the same clean as you may get in Ibis or Novotel Paris or Istanbul. The hotel is convinietly located close to Metro station and local big bazaar (Ajmal khan road) All in all it is good value for money. The satff are friendly and helpful tipping makes them even more helpful, but once 1 of them got carried away and followed us to the room asking for more tip, which made me not giving him anything afterwards.
No Problem, just value for the money”
The state of the hotel is over the average.. No problem for lodging.. have a nice trip.. Reservation by internet is cheaper than local price at the site.
nice hotel great location”
i like very thing about hotel but one worker was rude not friendly other then that very nice hotel
Clean hotel but small rooms”
Francly it's a budget and clean hotel, rooms are so small, Lcd's better for a computer not a Tv, no refregirator,Service is smileless,i wonder why asking for special request on agoda site during booking and at the end there's no answer foir any request!
Very Basic , but near all historical places”
very basic, even complimentary water was not provided. Internet sucks big time in the room . Rooms were clean but very small , washroom extremely small in size. But one thins to remember, you get what you pay for. the worst part is, hotel is surrounded by the area of night clubs and pimps roaming all around all the time. Breakfast was very ok in terms of price we paid.
good location and great service”
I find this hotel with very good location and people are friendly and very helpful
the hotel located at istanbul old town, sultanhamet area.walking distance to the tram station (aksaray).the room is spacious.the housekeeping not so good.breakfast very basic but good environment.staffs are friendly.very near to shoping areas.walking distance to the grand bazzar.you can also take the train to airport from aksaray.no problem in finding eating place.good location for nightlife as there is couple of bars and nightclubs nearby.
Hi , i like this hotel because of its location and the reasonable price , its just 5 minutes walk for tram , or 20 minute walk for blue mosque , museum and bazaar etc, good for budget traveler.
good location but small bathroom”
the breakfast is the same every day there is no soap in the bathroom all the tv channels are the same
Great location, big rooms, great service”
Stayed there for 2 days. Beautiful experience, wonderful view, huge rooms, great service
Small smelly room in dodgy area”
When we arrived, we were told that our room's not available for the night (we were staying 7 days) as some group had not left and there's no room left for us. The 'manager' told us we had to stay at another hotel arranged by them for that night, and move back to Grand Ant the morning after. We protested, but he just kept saying there's no room. There's nothing we could have done - we were with heavy luggage, had no internet access, so we went to the other hotel. It's definitely not as big as Grand Ant as there's no lobby to speak of. It couldn't be of the same 'class' or charging the same as Grand Ant. Back to Grand Ant itself. The lobby looks okay, but it's probably the only part of the hotel that's slightly okay (which can fool some people when they first step into the lobby). The room's tiny, and I have to say as a petite Asian person I find it too small, I don't know what Caucasians think. The toilet stinks even before you use it, and if you don't close the door of the toilet, your room stinks too. Another thing about the room is that it can get very noisy at night, with disco beats - the hotel is right next to a disco, so you can imagine, and we already had a room on the upper floors. The breakfast was boring, and the quality of food was bad. We had one breakfast at the other hotel, and that supposedly worse hotel's breakfast was actually a lot better than Grand Ant's! The area in which Grand Ant is found is called Aksaray. It's described to be 'dubious' in our Frommer's guidebook in the restaurant recommendation section, and you can quickly see why.
best location in istanbul ”
We received a warm welcome from the staff and were invited to eat breakfast immediately as we were checking in early morning. The room was small but clean and cosy. Other facilities of the hotel were a nice lounge area to sit and LCD TV , a nice breakfast area . It was a very convenient location next to all the main attractions and not far from the tram stop. The breakfast was a good Turkish buffet breakfast of high quality. Минуси - - room was perhaps a little on the small side but there is a nice lounge area to sit in. - music could be heard from the pub two doors down but did not keep us awake as we were quite jet-lagged.
Good hotel, bad location”
We picked this hotel based on its proximity to the Aksaray subway station. We took the train from the airport to Aksaray (1.75 lira) and then took a taxi to the hotel for 10 lira. The hotel is very close to the Aksaray, but we did not know how to get there. The next morning we walked to the Aksaray (10 min) and took the train back to the airpor. Hotel has a huge and comfortable lobby, clean but small rooms and clean bathrooms. But, it is located in an area sort of a red light district. If you walk by yourself at night pimps push their business to you at every corner. It may be okay for some but for others. There are several night clubs nearby. It gets quite noisy at night. At the other hand, the area seems to be quite safe, very busy with lively night bazaar that starts around 11:00 pm and continues well into the early mornings (2:00 am or later). There are many good restaurants in the vicinity.
we arrived evening the receptionist surprise us by being not informed about our booking which was made 2 months before and that he never heared about agoda agency, so when I decided to go to tourist police he said go if you want but he looked like being afraid, he said I make favore for you for 1 night the time you fix the problem with your booking and it was to us to contact the agency and look after the problem, 2nd day the agency called them they found that after 2 months the hotel lost our reservation and they use so bad the IT, once back to hotel no appologize but only informed us that problem is solved and no more..... room was small but on the plan of hotel was the bigest and was in each floor num 01 like 601 ... the hotel was clean, breakfast was not bad acceptable location is far from the monuments from any attraction but alife area especilly night full of bars, restaurant and night clubs for us it was not good, the price via the agency was very good comparing with other hotels or direct with this hotel which was for double 120 euro via the agency was 40euro
Good location but room is small.”
Great hotel in Aksaray area. Near by tram station (500m). Front desk is friendly. Opposite the main road, there are great food, roasted lamb looks good but I have no chance to try. Overall the price is consider expensive from Malaysia standard, but I guess if you want to go to Turkey, this is the price you should pay. And, the room and bath is a bit small.
