Great location. Clean rooms. Manicured gardens. Friendly staff. Spa, wonderful. Ben was great fun.”
This was my 8th stay at this lovely distinctively Balinese hotel. Grand Balisani Suites, please don't change. The sound of the surf right on our doorstep, the large suites, wide verandahs, views of the beautiful gardens and individual private balconies set this grand hotel apart from the other nearby characterless hotels which are the same the world over. The only thing we missed was the Happy Hour deal that we previously enjoyed. We, in the past, had the two-for-one deal and stayed on for the garden banquet. This visit, from 25th June to 5th July, our group of 4 went for Happy Hour drinks and dinner nearby some evenings. Bring back Happy Hour drinks to keep us spending our money at the hotel!
Lovely hotel perfectly located. ”
Located on a beautiful beach. Within walking distance of many nice eating places. The free shuttle drop off in Seminyak/Kuta is very useful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Treatment at the spa was very good and great value for money.
Authentic Bali hotel on the beach which is good value for money. ”
This is an old authentic Bali hotel that looks like it is falling down on the outside but is well kept on the inside. The pool and gardens are lovely and it is located on the beach with a couple of small beach bars/restaurants very close. It’s generally in a pretty quiet area; 10 mins walk south gets you to a street access that you can then walk another 10 into Seminyak square. 10 mins walk north on the beach takes you to Finns Beach Club. We stayed in a Sea view (room 413) which I would highly recommend for the view, balcony and nice interior. AC worked well and has a TV with a couple of English speaking movie channels. The staff are lovely and fun. The buffet breakfast is your standard Bali brekky and sufficient for a few days. Overall this is a good hotel especially for the price and I would stay here again.
Great Location and proximity to good restaurants and bars. Had a great view of the beach as well. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Very good value for money considering the price of properties nearby (W and Alila). Staff were courteous and polite. Breakfast spread had a good mix of Continental and Asian cuisine.
Enjoyed our stay”
We had a group of 8 adults and 2 toddlers and we enjoyed our stay. Location was great with some lovely beach Warungs close by for lunch and Dinner and also walking distance down the beach to both Seminyak and Canggu (about 15mins). The hotel was a little dated but was clean and staff were friendly. Only issue we had was that they offered a happy hour on cocktails but when we went to order they told us it wasn’t available as there wasn’t enough guests (not really sure what that meant) but we just headed out for drinks on the beach so no big deal. We got the hotel at a great rate and would stay again if a similar deal was available. Thanks Grand Balisani
The gardens are lovely, old Bali style and established. The hotel is old and a bit tired. It’s not for pretentious travelers or young hip Aussies. However for people who appreciate the position, right on the beach where you can watch great sunsets, an awesome breakfast and very well priced you will like it. The staff went above and beyond, were really nice. The room was clean. On the beach in front of hotel was a great beach bar with local expats and a great vibe....very refreshing for Bali as there are too many touristy big bars like Tropicola which is also next door to the hotel. Great value !!!
Quiet resort with brilliant pool area.”
Quiet resort at the far end of Seminyak , shuttle bus to take you to Seminyak, Legian and Kuta. Rooms are good size, clean and comfy. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Right on the beach with brilliant sunsets.
Great option for family”
The room we stayed is nice and big with both shower and a huge marble bath tub. Big enough for 2 aduts and 2 young children with extra bed. Super-nice staff. Right across the beach (sea was a bit rough so be careful with children).
Exceptional small beach front hotel ”
I was pleasantly surprised even though I was recommended by a regular traveller Great value for money Rooms large beds comfortable the best transport are your feet breakfast just ok. Though a small stroll to the W hotel honestly 10 minute walk along the beach was sensational and there are a number of front bars
We had a blast ! Our room and bathroom were HUGE and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. I felt a little sad leaving them! FYI, the water pressure is AMAZING here.
I highly recommend Grand Balisani as a great place to experience the culture and beautiful people.
Although we had a very relaxing stay and staff were very attentive and helpful . I felt the rooms could could have been improved by having new bedding and towels. Sheets seem to be and off white & thin and some of the towels were greyish. That said they were clean just old and well used. They were some new towels but that made the older one look even worse
Great for the money”
Good size rooms, very clean. Food was good and the staff are excellent. Pool bar was great closed at 11pm and pool was open all the time. Ideal for couples who want to just chill out and also for the more adventerous heading in to town was easy enough only use blue bird taxis they are the cheapest.
This place was the perfect place to relax.. I totally unwound. The staff were wonderful and the rooms were amazing. The beauty spa was the best I'd ever experienced. The cocktails were the best in bali too..
Great stay away from the busy area”
We have stayed here twice now and loved it both times. Love that it is away from the busy areas of Bali but close enough to catch the shuttle into town. There are nice local warung restaurants on the beach out the front of the hotel which all had amazing food. santai warung was our favourite, we ate there many times however you could also walk further along the beach to other restaurants or hotels to eat at. Pool and facilities were great and everything was clean and well looked after. Thanks for another great stay!
Great location, friendly staff, the breakfast provided is great however the lunch and dinner menu's were a little over priced lacked variation and the food was only average. But I would recommend a stay here.
We have stayed at Balisani many times. It is an old hotel that shows its age but the grounds are spacious and has a lovely pool and great options for spending time around the pool under an umbrella or under complete cover. The house keeping staff were a little slow in attending to the make up of rooms and even missed a couple of days, which is not the end of the world. The hotel breakfast is not good and over priced especially given that there are some great options at local beach front warungs. The location of Balisani is fabulous - so many good options for food and shopping within close range and an easy walk along the beach to other venues such as Potato Head or La Laguna for example. Not the most glamorous hotel but good size rooms, great location and laid out well so that you do not feel overwhelmed by other guests.
Our first time traveled to Bali and it was our last night in Bali for this hotel. Everything was fine very Balinese Style. Close to the beach and there is a popular sunset beach bar at the beach and right at the beach entrance of the hotel. The food was okay. The staff was helpful. The spa was nice. The swimming pool is great. But this is not a modernise hotel, so do not expected new modern things.
Good beach outing, classic balinese resort”
Great location, clean, quiet, fairly well maintained establishment and friendly helpful staff with std but tasty dining. Nightly entertainment by the beach. Scenic beach visage, balmy and relaxing. Furnishing looking dated and bathroom functional but worn, bed could be better.
Can't wait to return!”
Loved our time at the Grand Balisani! Left to explore Sanur and Uluwatu but returned after a few days, we enjoyed our stay that much. Staff always friendly and attentive. Already planning our next trip to Bali and will be staying there again.
