Clean and comfortable rooms with access to D'Mall and about 2-3 minutes walk from to the beach. They provide welcome drinks and have free basic buffet breakfast of Filipino breakfast choices. They also provide free drinking water (tho you need to have your own water bottle / container) on 2 of the 3 floors of the hotel through water dispensers. Pool area can be improved. If going in groups, I suggest taking separate rooms by twos as their prices for extra person/s are a bit steep, tho they'd provide you a bigger room if you ask for it. Overall an okay and 'not bad' stay, but will try and look for other hotels at the same price point (or even cheaper) with the same or better facilities next time.
First Stay at Grand Boracay - Will return”
I read the reviews before I booked and was a little nervous, but for the price and location, I was very pleased. Hotel has secret entrance to D'Mall so you can be to D'Mall in 2 minutes and beach in 5 minutes. The location is very nice for my needs. It is far enough away from the beach that I did not hear the music late at night (has been a problem when I have booked rooms right on the beach). I read in the review that the breakfast was COLD - Well, I figured this out: During my stay, they put the Buffet breakfast out at 6:30 AM but do not start the warming fires under the Buffet pans (have no idea why !). So I just made it a point to be there at exactly 6:30 AM and the food was fresh and hot and good. But only Garlic Rice one of the 3 days I was there :-) ! I also read that the staff was "VERY STRICT" and I found this true also - I was an early arrival and could not check in early - But the official check-in was for 2PM and room was ready at 2PM (and they gave me an extra hour at check-out). Room was nice - But it is a typical room where the key is used to close the electrical circuit - So the room was VERY HOT when I arrived at 2PM - Would advise to check in, turn on AC (have to take Key off of interlock part of key) and go have a beer while the room cools down. Pool was nice, but it is in the sun - So if you stay out there long, don't forget the Sun Screen. They have a Bar with San Miguel for 40 peso, so that is really nice. If you call down, they will deliver to your room - But best as I can figure, the bar is not staffed, but available 24/7 if you just request someone to meet you there. Overall Very Pleased and would stay there again for sure !
It was nice place to stay but it was not that much clean and the towels was really bad smell always even when they changed it same smell there is no Toothbrush and toothpaste also the mosquito was in the room and out of the room, the best things in this hotel the location was really perfect location and really nice area to relax and refresh your mood
Quiet hotel with good access to beach activities”
I enjoyed the hotel, but had difficulty with stairs as I have bad knees. There are no elevators in this four storey hotel soon to be five stories. Even the restaurant was on the second storey of the main building. I am a repeat visitor. There is a very strict policy about staining sheets or towels and I was charged more than my room price for stained sheets when my companion got a temporary henna tatoo and it stained all the bedsheets and towels the first time I stayed here. Last time I was blindsided with this charge and demanded the sheets and towels be given to me if I had to purchase brand new ones for the hotel. This time I knew the policy and it was posted at the check in and in the rooms. The refrigerator in the room and the hot water pot were appreciated and well used during my stay. No smoking is permitted inside the rooms but there are lounge chairs outside of each room for smokers. Umbrellas and beach slippers are also available in the room. The grounds are flooded when it rains hard so slippers, not leather shoes are advised during the rainy season.
Superb Boracay Hotel alternative during season”
It may not be the most classy of Hotels (though it is kind of cosy), but the large rooms and interiors leave not much to wish for. That is, if you're not planning to spend your stay exclusively in the Hotel. The location is pretty good too - 5 mins. to the beach - Station 2.
nice & relaxing ”
The hotel is great considering the price your paying. It is very near D'mall where the life of Boracay is; near restaurants, shops, convenient store, walking distance to the beach. Compared to other hotels who charged way beyond budget. The hotel even serves delicious breakfast. There's even a pool to dip in when tired of the beach.
great location close to all means public transport mrt bts taxi busses and ferries shopping in many districts at your doorstep restaurants and very good take away food all close by.chutachuck market in one direction on mrt and the delights of china town in the other. easy to find and also within easy walking distance to shopping centers.
Great location in affordable rate”
Location is nice, though the hotel is not in beach front but their is access to d'mall. Short walk to beach. Clean and spacious room. Hotel staff are friendly. Breakfast is so so. All in all we still enjoyed our stay even though its not in beach front hotel.
great location but watch our for charges”
literally right in the middle of boracay island at station 2. this large, chinese owned and operated resort has one entrance on the main road with easy access to laundries, a department store, supermarket, korean restaurant and fish and chips restaurant. the second entrance is right on d'mall with dozens of boutiques, restaurants, souvenir shops, and a kodak photofinishing shop. breakfast was bountiful and healthy. two apple computers available for guest use for free. beach towels available for pool or beach use. hotel rooms are spacious, have a minibar, aircon. the hotel is not handicapped accessible, with cobblestone grounds, no elevators, and 3 storey buildings. watchout for being charged for the temporary henna tatoo marks on any bedding, towels, or pillow cases. i was charged for complete new set of bedding and towels because of the stains from the popular tatoos that exceeded the cost of the hotel room. no warning signs or statement from the staff, so this is landmine that might spoil your stay. southwest arranged transportation from kalibo airport to boracay hotel and return for a reasonable price and eliminated waiting in line and having to deal with four to six different services.
Good location, great staff”
Nice stay, decent rooms, overall good value Need stronger water pressure in the showers. Great staff, an good service, very nice people, not to mention, I forgot my passport on the island, they delivered it to me, no charge, except for the boat fees, which only makes sense. Really save my trip, Thanks again!
Best location ever”
It was a perfect choice for us, the location is perfect. It's within d'mall area where a line of restaurants, souvenir shops and bars are just a few steps away. In addition to that the powder like white sand with a prestine water is just a steps away from the hotel. We loved the buffet breakfast served during our stay. The room is spacious enough for two. The staff were so accomodating during our entire stay. Will definitely stay again.
hotel was lovely and just as promised in the ads.”
i enjoyed all the prompt service with spontaneous staff who are on hand to help you in any way they can. resort is nearer to mall and good beach areas. breakfast is excellent and the hotel is well managed. the resort is also secure and has a security personnel on duty. if you want more service this resort is recommended and is not overly priced.
Good location for shopping since the hotel is in the mall itself and tons of restaurant choices to choose from! Walking distance from the beach but the beach is closed up by the restaurants with front beach access so its quite a bit of walk to the beach coz you have to find an open walkway! The exterior was pretty good, one of the few hotels in boracay that still have a fresh coat of paint, but the pebbles are really hard on the feet to walk on! The construction does not help either as far as the noise level when you're in the pool! The rooms are good, but the bathroom lock is busted! AC was really which is one of the reason we pick the hotel! I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel though! There's no view of the beach at all, the entrance is a small alleyway from dmall! We actually got lost finding this hotel and we have a local guide with us! Another complaint I had was that we stayed in the hotel for two nights and booked two rooms, the staff did not clean the room even though I told them three times to clean it first before lunch after lunch and while we are doing our sport activities! I was very upset because we got back at 8pm and they still have not cleaned the rooms! It was the last night so there really was use complaining at all!
Great Hotel at the heart of Boracay”
hotel has great service. They give you a refreshing welcome drinks. friendly staff. breakfast was ok. not too lavish but enough for my taste. Their pool was also good. large enough. :) I only had one wish, that their free wifi was better if it reaches the rooms. all they had to do was add a few routers. overall i would recommend this place.
great location and huge rooms”
they have great location especially like us who have children 'coz the beach is near and also near to d'mall, though its pricey but its worth the money you paid. i will definitely stay there when we go back to boracay....
overall the accommodation is good, nice place, clean rooms and food is great.clean place they have, and very accommodating staff..there's a swimming pool in which you can relax as well after enjoying the beach.
Convenient and Neat!”
It's near D'mall and most establishments so it's very convenient for travelers. You can find anything you need within the area like groceries, market, shopping stores and of course a wide variety of restaurants. They also have a pool so you can still swim when the sun is down ( that's if you think the beach area is too dark). The room is clean and you have your own balcony per room. The crew are very nice and accommodating. They offer good rates and nice environment.
Nice place, great location, lovely staff”
We stayed in this resort for Christmas 2017. It is a lovely place in the heart of the Station 2. It’s basic and simple but it feels homely. The rooms are spacious, the surroundings are big and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant.
Overpriced, troublesome staff, constant blackouts, no wifi, door lock failed”
They prominently display promos that they have no intention of honouring. Wildly overpriced. Kept me waiting at checkin an hour and laughed in my face when I requested a comp dinner. Couldn’t get in to room. Overpriced transfers. You can do better for the money in winter.
Do not consider this hotel”
Room - The room where we stayed in is disgusting! It smells of mold like the room is so so old. Airconditioning is very poor. The restroom has no lock, and when I called the receptionist to send someone to check had to follow up thrice! But they were not able to fix or do something about the door lock! The cr is not pleasing to the eyes. The room is full of mosquitoes. Food - Breakfast buffet but you'd wish that you jist dine out somewhere instead. Food hall is so messy. Utensils are just placed somewhere. It feels like you're eating in a very cheap restaurant. Note : If you're considering to check in this hotel please think twice.
