Everything is excellent here. Grand Cititel Hanoi Hotel is located within Old Quarter area, convenience store (Circle K) is just at corner of the street & about 10-15 mins walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Hotel staffs are all friendly & helpful especially the female receptionist who checked me in. Appreciate for the complimentary cocktails they offered to celebrate anniversary with my boyfriend. My room is situated at level 8 (considered high floor in this hotel), not very nice view but very clean, provided with every amenities I need & the bed is really comfortable to rest on. International buffet served for complimentary breakfast, including of salad, fruit, sweet yogurt, bun, ham, cheese, porridge with condiments, rice with dishes, egg station & pho noodle station. Only 3 star for their facilities due to there’s no swimming pool, gym & spa in the hotel. The only unpleasant part is housekeeping attendant ring my door early at 8am on the 4th day just to ask if I need laundry service.
A very good stay”
A very good stay in Grand Cititel Hotel, Hanoi. Appreciate all the assistance given by Ms Sandy and her front desk team. Also appreciate and admire the enthusiasm from Ms Yen from the restaurent during breakfast. highly recomend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel is in an alley, but the location is near to Hoan Kiem Lake, which is accessible. Nearby hotel has minimart, a lot of coffeehouses and eateries. Staff are friendly. I got free upgrade to king size bed. The room is clean and comfortable. The minus point is my room near the lift so it was very noisy in the morning, including from other travellers as well as cleaning staff. Overall, it’s worth the money.
superb hospitality from staff and an excellent hotel!!”
I came to Hanoi with my mom for vacation and decided to stay here after reading all the good reviews. I have no regrets whatsoever. The staff are superb in every way. Mr Toan and Vivian were very helpful and really go all out to help me: from recommending places to eat, to hailing me a cab. Hotel's location was great, walking distance to eateries/convenience mart (Circle K) and also the French and old quarter. The beds were super comfortable. Rooms were very clean and quiet although slightly small. Breakfast was delicious especially the pho. A shoutout to Mr Toan the receptionist. He was not only helpful and friendly but a GOOD and HONEST man.On my day of checkout, I have forgotten my deposit of 100usd and he called my taxi driver to return to the hotel just to pass the money back to me. I LOVED the hospitality shown here by the staff. Thanks for making this trip a good and memorable one for my mom and I! Will definitely be recommending your hotel to all my other friends! 2 thumbs up!
Perfect for traveling alone.”
Room size suitable for living alone. The staff is kind. I was thankful for traveling alone in a friendly manner. When necessary, it solves the problem immediately. It is very clean because it is not built yet. Located near Hoan Kiem Lake, you can walk around the lake. There is a good massage shop nearby so you can easily access the massage shop. Conclusion: It's clean + Friendly Staff = Very Satisfied.
Great Hotel ”
My first time to Ha Noi and Grand Cititel Hanoi Hotel, was a great Hotel to experience.
Great option in Hanoi”
This is a brand new hotel. It has a nice fresh decor, which made us feel at home. Staff was nice, though pretty hard to understand at times. We did really like this one, and even came back to it twice, but It does have some downsides so I’ll try giving a neutral review. Rooms are pretty small but very modern and have a good vibe to them. The bed is incredibly comfortable!! Room structure is pretty weird and there’s no real separation between the bathroom and the bed area, which makes it hard to avoid disturbances if someone is sleeping. The safe didn’t have batteries when we arrived and so they just came and *replaced* the whole safe 🤦♂️ what’s the point of having a safe if one can just grab it and go?! There are also little annoyances like no hangers for wet towels, or no stool to place luggage on. The “closet” is just a tiny open rack. Breakfast is good enough in Vietnamese standards. We’ve stayed in 4 different hotels around the old quarter area and we loved this location the most - it’s just outside the chaos, but still just a 5 minute walk away, and the French Quarter area is pretty damn beautiful and relaxing. Right by the hotel there’s the only real French bakery we found in Vietnam - L’epicerie - at the Sofitel Metropole hotel, and their pastries are really great 👍🏻 We highly recommend staying here, it’s a great deal.
New & Clean Hotel with Great Staffs”
I have been to Hanoi quite often for Business trips. This is one great hotel to stay. It is new the price is great and you have reasonable breakfast choices. The room size is big. I have to compliment the staffs at all areas for been so warm and helpful. Internet speed is good too. The good thing is the street in front of the hotel does not has high traffic and you good sleep without been woken up by the sound of vehicle's horn early in the morning.
Value for money, convenient location, amazing staff”
Highly recommend this hotel for either solo or couples. Rooms were very clean, Sandy (the manager) was very helpful and accommodating, and their booking staff (Rosie) was also super helpful. Unfortunately my flight was delayed several hours, and I made a airport transfer booking with them, so I emailed them hoping that they would see it to inform the driver, and Rosie replied to my email almost immediately! Location is also very convenient and safe, it's in the city, yet it's also tucked away in a peaceful corner. Literally 5-10 mins walk and you'll be in the center of Hanoi's organized chaos. Will definitely come back to stay here again when I visit Hanoi in the future.
Brand new hotel ”
Pros Close to all the shops - 5mins walk Quiet location Noodle soup cafe just outside of hotel Chemist literally downstairs Money changer with the reception Bike rental avail with reception Friendly staff Mini gym Grab car knows the location Breakfast selection was ok (small dining area on L2) Cons Located next to a construction site (not noisy but dusty) Hidden but there is a big sign with 13B Room has ants even inside the fridge This is pretty much a new hotel as the pool is not ready, the gym is tiny and 90% done. Apart from that it's a good hotel. Apart from the ants I would return to this hotel if I visit Hanoi again
There is no parking lot as the description”
I stayed at Cititel hotel at another city several times before but this war my first time in Hanoi. Everything seemed to be fine until I found that there was no parking lot available. I love the hotel, staffs... but this problem made me down. I came to hotel late at night and hotel’s staffs told me that there was no parking lot for my car. I need to go outside to park with the fee of 15$ from 1:30am to 9:30 am. It was insane especially they mentioned the parking fee is 10$ in the description. And when I asked for staff’s help, they just told me “we have no idea”, “it’s because of Tet”???? Blah blah like it was not their shit. The amount was not so big but somehow disappointing me a lot.
Clean, comfortable, location”
Hotel seems new, clean and comfortable. Not far from old quarter about 15mins walk, and away enough from the noise & crowd. Near Hoan Kiem Lake. Friendly staff.
Perfect Stay for Short and Long-term.”
I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The facility is superb and one of the best "new" place to stay near the Old Quarters. You won't find any hotels like this in Hanoi. Although I had a short issue with incredibly small flies, the hotel changed my room right away.
Clean, comfortable, gd location”
Look new clean and comfortable. Not far from old quarter (15mins walk) but away from the noise & crowd. Near Hoan Kiem Lake
Excellent Hotel, very friendly staff! ”
Located very nicely in the center ideally for sightseeing. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and a decent breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend this hotel for business or sightseeing in Hanoi
Nice quiet hotel , great staff”
Good hotel for a short quiet stay. Quite near to Hoan Kiem late and old Quarters short walk to the French Quarter too
Clean, Good Location. ”
Everything about this hotel was great. The cleanliness, the VANITY MIRROR(!), location was just a 5 min walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. Just one point that I think Asians would like to note. The washroom where you do business no 2, does not have any water bidet which is quite a disappointment.
Nice small room. However, there was a weird smell within the building and the room”
Room was clean. Location was ok, close to Hoan Kiem Lake, shops, and some local restaurants. However, the strong odor was present in the room and the hotel lobby as well. There was water leaking from the shower booth to the bedroom.
Hotel is about 10 min walk from Hoan Kiem Lake
Amazing hotel. Wonderful & Attentive staff.”
Me and my wife stayed here for 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. we loved it. it's a new hotel with beautiful modern finish. We were checking out very early the next morning and the staff offered us a breakfast box so we wouldn't be hungry. We had a few cocktails at the bar when we arrived. they were great and a very fair price for top quality spirits. We would highly recommend staying here.
