Fantastic location, huge room, helpful stff”
A truly magnificent hotel. Don’t even think about wasting time taking a taxi. It’s as if they built the (much cheaper and direct) tram to take you direct from the airport to the Grand Baglioni, departing every 5 minutes. It’s about 50 steps from the tram terminus to the Baglioni. Rooms are HUGE with magnificent paneled wood ceilings. Our bed was a king (it was two beds joined together) with sumptuous chairs and a nice flat panel TV. The shower was decent, if a little low with adequate to good (not great) water pressure. Felt like you stayed somewhere truly history. Everywhere was within 15 minutes walk.

It's walkable from the station, lots of shops and restaurants around, everything is walkable in Florence. Bathrooms recently renovated, all big and clean toilets. Staff are friendly, come in with a smile, you're sure to get one back.

We booked it last minute and it was an excepting choice. The staff were amazing and even gave us a free upgrade to a suite. Perfect location for all the sights and travel. Room was nicely appointed, friendly staff and would definitely recommend staying here!

Staying at Grand Hotel Baglioni is like going back in time as it is an old fashion luxury hotel with all the modern settings. The few rooms on the first floor, like the one we had, have a small terrace surrounded by trees and flowers, it takes in a semi private area of Florentine paradise.

I travelled with my parents for their 50th Wedding Anniversary (vacation)Gift . Decided to book Grand Hotel Baglioni primarily for its location (5 min walk from SMN train station) and Tram stop T2 that will take you to Florence airport (Peretola) is just a few steps outside the Hotel. Bell, Front desk, cleaning service, restaurant (With great views), met all our expectations. It has an old world feeling, and away from majority of the tourist crowd(buy near enough and be at the hub if it).

The hotel is located just across from train station and behind are all the sightseeing and shopping area. Room is consider big for european room standard but they have to improve on the soundproof wall. We can hear every single gossip of our neighbor room guess, fortunately we dont understand their langguages and they dont do any r-rated stuff as I have my 13 yrs old with me.
