At the Grand Hotel Dechampaigne, proximity to many of Paris' finest tourist sites merge with facilities erected in the French spirit. This property is a heartbeat away from the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Le Marais Quarter, a formidable trio of sights that should be on any person's tourist itinerary. Its six floors of plush rooms are designed to reflect the many eras of French architecture, including styles used during Louis XV's reign. Aside from its architectural splendor, the Grand Hotel Dechampaigne has convenient facilities that cater to both the business-minded and the leisurely. With its brilliant location and congenial staff, this hotel is a must-see.

Small but very nice ”
We had a nice stay here. The room was tiny but great location for the price. It is very close to metro stations but it’s a short walk to most places. There were robes in the bathroom which was a lovely touch. Front desk staff was very helpful and kind.
Hotel with a character in the historic center ”
This hotel has unique and thematic rooms in the center of all historic attractions. We stayed in a yellow room. Although rooms are small, there were plush robes, towels and slippers awaiting, something you expect from a 3-star hotel.
Close to major attractions & the metro. Easy to move around with good eating establishments in walking distance
Thanks ! Hope to see you next time !
Great Location! Great Staff!”
The room was very nice, although European small. The staff was excellent at all levels, helping me with my tourist arrangements, right down to opening a wine bottle for me! The location is perfect for me. Ten minutes walk to the Louve, 15 minutes walk to Notra Dame, 10 minutes to the Sien River . beautiful. . with lots of bars and restaurants. I was very happy with the choice and would definately stay here again! Olga, behind the desk, was particuliarly helpful to me. I highly suggest this hotel!
Fine choice...for Paris”
If this hotel was anywhere other than Paris, I would have been disappointed with the price for what I got, but you just have to accept Paris is expensive to stay in! Location was great. Near Metro, walk to Louvre and city sights, plenty of bars and eating places nearby, not on a main road so whisper quiet at night. Bed was very comfy and room was spotless and warm but bathroom is a design disaster - shower so tiny It’s comical, but you find ways around it. Depending on price, I would stay here again. Staff were always polite and lovely.
i think the hotel is a good value. Internet is good, breakfast is good, staff very friendly. BUT.... while the location is good, in the heart of the city, the actualy entrance of the hotel is at a crossroad of back alleys. And that means drug pushers, drunks and homeless abound in that area, especially at night. So beware.
Dear Guest, Thanks for your time for feedback and for your visit. We regret if you felt unsafe. We must inform you we are in contact with the City Hall and concerned autorities in order to avoid any desagreement to our guests and keep our area safe. Unfortunatelly we are not able to find the solution for this city problem which is out of our hands. We wish to say to all our futur guests that our area is very residential and homeless people around are not any dangerous. Best regards, Mme Lauferon, Owner
travelers from Mexico”
This hotel is excellent. The staff is efficient and very kind. The location is great, it is close to major turistic places, near the metro station. We will stay again in this hotel. The ratio money/value is good.
Quaint Little Room”
We had a two night stay here in Paris. The room was rather small - with NO tea/coffee facilities. If you want a cuppa - you need to go downstairs and pay extra - that sucks! The staff were pleasant and helpful although I think we were ripped off with the airport transfer arrangement by the man on Reception.
A nice stay”
I had a nice time here with no problems, staff were good and professional. The hotel is near the metro 10 mins walk and bars are near,Be warned that Paris is Expensive, I thought London was high but Paris is higher. Good supermarket next door to buy things in..
Comfortable hotel in excellent location”
The Grand Hotel Dechampaigne is very welcoming and attractive with friendly staff. Its greatest benefit is its location, very central and with a close Metro station. Breakfast good value for money and plenty of choice. Our room was small but that was no disadvantage for a weekend.
Good location, quiet, 'historical' hotel building”
Located off the main street, so away from traffic noise. Metro (Chatelet - a multi-line interchange) is very near doorstep; supermarket at next block. Hotel is on an 'old' building (some structure >400 yrs old??), and furnishing is also classic, but dated. Staffs are helpful (concert tickets, airport shuttle, postage etc). We stayed 3-nites there. We like modern/contemplory furnishing better, so the decor was not exactly our preference. However, we love the hotel location - we walked to Center Pompidue, Lourve, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, Musee D'Orsay! Did not have breakfast there - so no comments.
Good location as head quarters stay”
The hotel was really good and the staff were always helpful. Nice rooms and no complaints from me. Just make sure you check your booking to see if breakfast is included otherwise you could end up like me paying Eur13.50 for a cup of coffee!
Good location, nice breakfast and friendly staff”
I decide to take my son to Paris for 5 days as he had just graduated from college and had time available as did I. We took a train in from London as this was the first stop on our trip and a taxi from the train station to Dechampaigne. The taxi driver's GPS got a little confused and we were dropped at the curb and the hotel was not in sight. After a quick walk through an alley we arrived and were pleasently greeted and our reservations were in order. The elevator was very small and could only fit 4 people and that was without luggage. The room were a bit small but we had two bed which were comfortable and usabel bathroom space. We did not have the right plugs for our computers but the front desk was able to fix us up with a converter. The room/ hotel is quite old and had some great architecture including some original exposed wood that was very weather and authentic. We walked to the River which was less than a block away and is a great landmark with most attractions within a couple of miles. We walked everywhere and stated each morning with a great continental breakfast that was generous and had a nice variety. A small grocery was just around the corner and shopping and metro were very convenient also. We had a graet time overall and truly got to experience Paris on a somewhat reasonable budget.
Very French hotel right in the heart of the city”
For a first time in Paris this was an excellent base for these Aussie visitors. Our room was very 'french' the staff very helpful, the hotel breakfast our first choice each day, the shops and cafes just around the corner and the whole experience a delight. We expected to use the metro but from the hotel we could catch a hop on hop off bus 2 blocks away and the water buses likewise. Being in the First district just a block from the River Seine is just the best. Having waded through countless B&B and hotel offers, we believe this was the best choice by far. Fantastique!
This is a complaint of the overcharge of your hotel. My name is zhujun Wang, and we stayed in your hotel for three nights -between June 15 to 17.We have six adults but you charge me for eight adults for the breakfast, excess of 30€.And in the email the hotel promise to me”two superior rooms you will just pay a difference 15€/night per room or 90€ in total for the both room.”,but they charge me 45€/night per room, excess of 90€.we sent emai to they but they refuse to return the overcharge 120€ to me.
The breakfast was same everyday and there was no varity in breakfast. Breakfast area was very small. Room was very small. Price per night was very high compare to facilitet inside the room. No room service during night time. Otherthan location this hotel is not recommended
Accommodating staff,! early check in was super! Noisy due to adjacent construction work..
it was great deal..
Cute hotel in center of fun ”
Great stay with my mother on her first trip to Paris. The hotel added to the magic of Paris. Pack light
Old but nice”
Especially the Receptionist ladies and the owner were lovely and nice. Unexpected New year party was very nice. The place of the hotel was excellent.
