Good location near public transport”
The location was good because public transport is easily available here. The hotel is 2 minutes away from Gare du Nord. The only drawback is there are quite a number of shady characters around the station itself. During the day it is quite safe, I am not so sure how it is at night (we are normally back at the hotel quite early). But it is always quite busy with many people around, so I think as long as you stay where there are crowds then you should be okay. There are also many eateries around, as well as small supermarkets so again it was convenient. The staff were quite kind, we arrived early and was allowed to check in before the official time. On the last day we were also allowed to leave our bags for storage for a few hours as our transport out of Paris was quite late in the day. Yes, I would stay at Grand Hotel Magenta again if I were to return to Paris.

Location is really near to Gare du Nord , halal food such as fried chicken, kebab just around the corner, grocery shop just a couple block away. If you book Big Bus service, you may request to stop at the bust stop in front of the hotel. Staff was friendly. Lift can only fit 2 person, but yeah it's better than walking up. The cons was, on the second day, water heater(shower only) not functioning. The rest was amazing. We booked 4 bed in a room, amazingly we got really large room, and large toilet. Definitely coming back again. Kudos to the friendly staff who can speak English.

when others comment that this hotel is crap, i felt otherwise. this hotel is near Gare Du Nord and cheap. Although I agree that the hotel is old and run down, it is maintained clean and the staff is polite.

Quick stay to catch the train in Gare du Nord”
We stayed at this hotel for one night mainly due to its proximity to the Gare du Nord station, as we needed to catch a train at 6am the following morning. The hotel was just 200 meters away from the station and Montmartre is within walking distance. The location was perfect but the hotel was quite old and rundown. The lift was small; it fitted only 2 persons with luggage. The room, albeit old, was clean. The only complaint we had was the bed. The mattress is very old and it sinks in the middle, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The pillow cases were yellowish and needed cleaning.

Location and Value For Money”
We stayed here for 4 nights in Quadruple room. It has large room with 2 double beds and 1 single bed so actually it can be occupied by 5 persons. The city views are so great from bedroom. The location very close to Paris Nord and easy to access. Surrounded by many restaurants and opposite to supermarket Monop.

Nice large room and most staff spoke enough English to be able to communicate. Decor dated and bed really not good (mattress sunken in the middle on one side, enough to make you roll to that side of the bed). Location good; 1 block from the Garde De Nord train station, only a little further to the nearest 'Big Bus' bus stop. Something I have not encountered before was that you have to leave your room keys at the desk every time you leave the building. No fridge or A/C. Lift only large enough for 1 person at a time plus suitcase, so unless you are very patient be prepared to take the stairs more often than not.

Cleaniness and comfortable living, near to Gare Lu Nord station within 5 minutes on foot and U can go anywhere with nearest Metro stop. There are a lot of resturant for option.

It's just walking distance to Gare du Nord train station. The quad room is big. But staff are not cautious in processing checkin. We had paid through Agoda but they still asked for payment. It took us weeks to confirm the refund amount.

ONE NIGHT STAY”
The great and grand thing of this hotel is only the location. It takes around 3 min walk from paris de nord station. If u wish to stay one night before departing to another place it would be just OK. Here everything is money (wifi, mineral & dobby). You only pay for the room. I dunno wether it safe or not bcoz everytime u wanna to go out u have to drop the key at the counter. Only the receptionist can speak english. If u wanna to ask something to the housekeeper you have to use ur body language as they only can understand french. The adventure thing of this hotel is the rounded stairs and the dark way to climb up. You have to turn the light on ur own. If ur are lucky u'll find the switch. If not the receptionist will turn on the switch from his place if he heard of ur foot steps.

convenient to terminal station”
The hotel is located near to the station. Unfortunately it is also near to a hospital. My room faces the road and so I could hear ambulance sirens and police sirens wailing loudly outside my window, till late into the night. They don't have air condition unit nor fan. So it was hot and sticky at night during summer night when you sleep. There are shady characters in the neighbourhood. Always walk in pairs, at least.
