Excellant for families.”
This hotel is perfect for young families. The children’s pools are not super deep have shade and have shade for young ones. The waterslide is a real social affair , we met lots of lovely families and our son made great friends on our stay. Rooms are clean and spacious for families travelling with children and beds comfortable. The hotel is an older one and more Bali style. The staff are very family focused and attentive towards children and making them feel special. Downside drink/food expensive at resort but that’s Nusa Dua for you in general. It is cheaper to eat over at Bali Collection ( shopping area directly opposite the hotel), restaurants by main gate or Benoa. Don’t expect western state of the art contemporary five star, stay at the Westin and pay double the price if this is your taste.Could drop their room prices a little to reflect this. We would absolutely come back as a family to the Hyatt. It really is a wonderful well thought out hotel for families.
A Grand Hotel Befitting its Name. ”
Everyone says Grand Hyatt is an old hotel. Yes, that's true but for a 28 year old hotel, it has maintain its standard. Although certain quarters needs upgrading work, this is Bali. It has the Bali feel with its 41 acres of land, its own private beach, landscaped pools and special villas in their North, South, East & West Wings. Within walking distance, just across the hotel is Bali Collection. Not much of a big mall but it suffice. Grand Hyatt is big enough if you need your own space for privacy or for family fun in its large compound. Service staff were polite and helpful which is very important in the service industry. The only problem I had was the bathroom. It only has one hook to hang towels & it was located behind the wall near the luggage area. Not practical. And my pillow was smelly which surprised me as this is Grand Hyatt. Depending on your needs, I still think it's a fine hotel in Nusa Dua.
Getaway during silence day of Bali”
Me and my 6 years old son stay in here for 2 nights during silence day of bali (6-8th of March). We were given a room on the 5th floor of south village (they have 3 location). The check in was easy but even after asking my passport, the reception wrote my name completely wrong which i realized only after i arrive at room and wanted to log in to the internet by using my last name. Small detail that is not nice to hotel guest, how come after they asked my passport ? There are 2 allocated places for having breakfast and had breakfast on the restaurant next to main pool. It was heavy raining that morning and the breakfast time finished just like normal without no exception at all (should be a bit more flexible if the weather is bad, the guests couldn't leave the room during heavy pouring rain unless they want to have breakfast with wet clothes). There was no covered passage to go there. The hotel is quiet all but well maintain. I love their garden which gives relaxing feeling. Didn't try the kids club as it was silence day of bali so i think it was closed as nobody was there. Overall, it is okay hotel for being in btdc area but maybe next time I will prefer to stay on the more newer hotel like The Mulia.
I went to this hotel before without my child. But then I promise to bring them here someday... And this year I can bring them here... Really recommended hotel, with their own beach and the long river pool and very large pool.. It make them so happy..
Beautiful resort ,, The resort itself may be a little old but is still absolutely beautiful the staff go above and beyond and very very friendly The food at the resort is very good true you can venture out and find other food and a better price but for what they serve there and for what you get I think is a good value for your money compared to other places in the world Their rooms are super nice we never needed for anything The grounds were well-maintained and lots of shade for those hot days Down at the pool expect to pay about the same he would at home for a drink or sometimes even more this would be my only complaint Other than the pool itself is extremely warm so if you were looking to refresh yourself from the heat good luck the only thing I can suggest is the plunge pool
nice hotel and great staff”
Great for families, but not really a place for couples or single travellers, with too many kids in the club area, which is fine if they are under control, unfortunately that wasn't the case during our stay. Be aware the taxes and service charges for eating in the restaurants bump the price up over 25% above the net prices shown. All in all, the hotel is nice and staff are even nicer.
Always love the daybed in the room because that is where my 2 young kids sleep. The gardens around the hotel always looks great, and I think this is one of the best selling points, so keep up the good work! Unfortunately, our room was quite dusty during our 4 nights of stay. The bathroom ceiling was pretty bad as you could see many previous leaks before and the ceiling felt damp and paints were peeling off!
One of the Best in Bali”
Breathtaking lobby, amazing landscape, excellent restaurants. When we found the refurbished rooms, it is perfect, if we get the old one, it is less enjoyable although it is not bad. But overall, it is a perfect vacation hotel, relax and chill ...
Booked this hotel because of the location, reputation and quality , but more important for us because it had a playground for toddlers. We become to know that only kids above 3 years old were allowed when we where already at the hotel, so we couldn't left our kid because was too young.
5 star property with a 2 star service”
The check in experience was ok as they made us wait for 30 minutes even after arriving at 3:00pm stating the room was not ready. The property is huge and the rooms have lagoon's that are home to fish, birds and monitor lizards (though they say they are not harmful if not threatened) The room's are a long walk to the pool, beach, breakfast and gym which is frustrating. The breakfast served at the beach rest. is better; the other one had limited variety & the lay out was pathetic, so was the service. The staff act very busy and give you the feeling they don't want to be disturbed. At the check out, they did not ask if we needed transport or how was the stay and how was the property but just said your'll all done :-) which is a joke for a 5 star hotel - again probably cause they were busy! So its definitely a 5 star property with a 2 star service! but when you pay for a 5 star you pay for the whole package, thankfully our next 5 star stay came with a 7 star service before leaving Bali!
Great location, nice facilities, terrible beach”
Best part is location, short walk to the beach & Bali Collection shops and restaurants. The room is pretty good, clean and really spacious. The resort is HUGE, which is great if you like to be far away from everyone else and enjoy long walks. Most disappointing part is prob the beachside, with cheap plastic chairs that make you feel like you're spending $50 a night instead of $200. This is especially bad given that we'd just tried Laguna and Westin nearby, which both had awesome beachside facilities, it just felt like we got downgraded two stars. The pools looked quite nice and perfect for families with kids, unfortunately we were a couple but this isn't the hotel's fault. Just not the right choice for us. Staff was polite and helpful, though noticeably a step down from the energy and warmth of the staff at Laguna and Westin (this is nitpicking a bit though).
Fantastic Hotel - Stay in Grand Club - worth the money. ”
A magnificent hotel with great staff. The gardens are wonderful, it is a huge resort. Fantastic for young families and also couples, given its size it is possible to find a place just right for you. The Grand Club is great, the staff are wonderful - excellent and plenty of food - breakfast and evening canapes and drinks are included. Water slide for kids is excellent. If staying in the Grand Club also have a separate pool - much quieter - fewer children. The sea is wonderful in this location. If in Bali - the place to stay, by the sea.
Great quiet and clean beach in Nusa Dua. The pool slide was closed (and had been closed for many weeks) and disappointing as that is one facility that distinguishes the Hyatt from other family properties on Nusa Dua.
just across bali discover, love the landscaping, beautiful garden, quite private beach!”
We stayed at the grand suite, very spacious, love the room set up, huge balcony, additional day bed is a plus, although hyatt is not a new hotel but still is one of the best hotel in nusa dua, featuring authentic balinese design, great landscaping, beautiful garden and quite private beach. Restaurants offering delicious and quality food, great coffee!
It was my first experience of Hyatt and I'm very happy with it! Food, room, territory of the hotel, services — everything was great. All days we spent in pleasant activities in the pool, gym, sauna and walking around beautiful hotel area. Definitely recommended for couples and families!
Beautiful Property & Huge Compound”
We stayed twice at Grand Hyatt Bali. We took 2 rooms as we were trevelling with our teenager children. Rooms were spacious, since it is a huge resort, many rooms don't have seaview. If you are particular about beautiful ocean view, make sure you choose the correct room type. Beautiful compound with lots of trees, ducks, geese & koi fishes. Grand Hyatt has big compound & required lots of walking. Not suitable for people with limited mobility, as there were some steps, ups & downs along the way. If you enjoy nature, you may choose room with club facilities, then you can have breakfast by the pond, open air concept restaurant, surrounded by lots of koi fishes & birds. Breakfast will be at the other restaurant which is indoor for the room with no club access. Breakfast was good. Big swimming pool (you can see in their photo, wide spread pool) and there is one small pool with iced cold water. During high tide, the beach is beautiful. If you plan to visit other tourist attractions in Bali, best is to rent a car with a driver, as within Nusa Dua itself is huge and from one place to another, like to the temple etc, will take some time. If you plan to just stay in the resort, only once or twice going out to Kuta, taxi is available & not that expensive as they use meter. There is a highway with toll leading to the airport or town, normally if you take taxi, you will have to pay for the toll, which is not that expensive.
I wanted a quiet place to spend the end of the year and The Grand Hyatt was perfect. Although they were running full, the hotel was so large that you don't feel that it is full, which I really like. The only time you realise how busy the hotel was, was when you go to the Main Pool area and see how crowded it was. Otherwise, the beach was nice and secluded, the lounge was relaxing and walking around the hotel's large compound felt peaceful. I will certainly return should I want some real R& R.
Great staff, location and facilities”
Excellent facilities - gym and pool. A very nice hotel with well trained staff. Located close to restaurants and shops in the area but behind a guarded area which makes this hotel both convenient and a retreat.
We love the main outdoor lobby of the hotel as it felt breezy, very comfortable and relaxing. While we had to wait for our room when we arrived, we waited patiently while enjoying the view in front of”
We love the idea of the daybed at the corner of the room! My two young kids, age 4 and 6,5 years old, could sleep together peacefully and comfortably, without us having to worry about them falling off the bed at night!
Fantastic resort with great service and facilities ”
This is one of the few resorts in the area that has direct access to the beach. Beautiful pools and well manicured gardens and ponds. It felt like we were in some zen garden then suddenly we were at the huge beach. Service was tip top and there are activities for everyone.
