We really enjoy our honeymoon stay in Grand Jatra”
We mentioned that we're staying for a honeymoon trip & the staff decorate our room. What a nice gesture. Thank you, we really appreciate it. 🥰 We really love our stay here. Pool area is so beautiful & clean. There's so many choices for the breakfast buffet. My favorites are the pancake, opera cake, baguette, omelette & yang chou fried rice. All the staffs are friendly & helpful. Everyone greeted the guests nicely. I give more credit to the receptionist who wears hijab, I'm sorry I forgot her name. She's really nice & considerate. 👍 This hotel is located in the same building with Mal Pekanbaru. I can go to the salon, shopping & find many culinary options without leaving the hotel area. I really like staying here. I hope I can come back soon.

whether i would recommend to friends . yes and no . depending on your luck what room are you being placed at . i requested for a smoking room. my initial room was dirty , ants , and literally quite dirty that particular room. so i requested to change room , brought us to 2 non smoking area at the 8th floor but there is this weird vibes . so we have decided not to take up the offer and stick back to our initial room . moments later , one of the staff came up to our room and say he will upgrade us to a deluxe room and ask us whether we are keen to view the room, so we went and hear and view it and decided to take the upgraded room which is cleaner . downside is there is no hair dryer . so if you’re the type that insist on having a hair dryer on your travel , please bring your own.

With bicycle to Pekanbaru”
The first moments in Grand Jatra Pekanbaru: I was coming with a bicycle and the safety staff did not exactly know where shall I park my bike - immediately one reception officer game, took the bike and put it inside to safe place. Excellent and quick service. And it continued at the same level. A little bit old, but well kept hotel with excellent service attitude. And great breakfast. My choice whenever coming to Pekanbaru.

Old Hotel in Central Location”
While the outside photos of the hotel looked quite nice, upon entering I smelled in the lobby a strong cigarette smell. The same smell is in the breakfast area, guests openly smoked indoor. There is a convenient connection with a mall where you can buy fruits and water. The room corridor is carpeted, stained and looked soiled. The room itself is okay, good size but bathroom amenities are old and water lukewarm (not hot!). Overall will not return.

Good location, good staff, lacking in everything else”
The only saving grace of this hotel is its location. The rest of facilities are not up to par at all. First of all, there is not enough parking space and it was hard to go there. Secondly, for a five star hotel, their amenities are embarassing. Towels old, room are just okay, and I ordered a King bed Room according to the app; and was given twin bed room which is so disappointing. Breakfast selection is poor and bad. There is so many other places that price less and worth more.

Wonderful stay”
Grand Jatra is highly recommended for Business / Leisure Travellers, easy access to most areas and just 15 mins away from Airport. Hotel is connected to a shopping mall where you can find almost everything there, it also comes with nice restaurants, pubs and entertainment joints. Breakfast is nice and staffs there are friendly too, will definitely stay in this hotel on my next visit to Pekanbaru.

This hotel is only one i would recommand for a stay in pekanbaru, It is located in city center,inside a large mall where you can do shopping and find restaurants. The night club is busy during the week end, but sometimes noisy, so it,s better to take rooms at the higher levels. Lobby is clean, rooms are clean, staff is good. It is a little more expensive than other hotels in the area but is good value for the money.

Not really a 5 star hotel”
this is my first time stayed at grand jatra hotel pekanbaru at superior room. lobby was great and spacious and check in was fast. room is too small for a 5 star hotel, bed and pillow not comfortable. bathroom is just ok. facility is complete and the hotel connected to next shopping mall. food and breakfast just average with limited selection. service is good and lot of smiles. i don't think this hotel deserve a 5 star hotel.

Clean but small parking area in front of the hotel”
The hotel is clean and located close to several shopping centres (Mal Pekanbaru, Senapelan Plaza, Ramayana, Tradional Market), but in the room at night we can hear the sound of music from (may be) cafe/ discotheque and the parking area in front of the hotel is small, we have to go to the basement of Mall Pekanbaru which is confusing for new comer to Pekanbaru and unfriendly security staff.

Convenient due to its central location and attached to Pekanbaru Mall. Hotel provided for airport transfer. Staff were friendly. Fast check-in and checkout. Breakfast was adequate. Downside, music from disco could be heard throughout the hotel late into the night.
