Great Value for Money!”
This is my preferred Bangkok accommodation, having stayed here on probably ten or more occasions over the past few years. . It has a great location, just a short 400 m leisurely walk to the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit Road - or alternatively, a leisurely drive on the every 1/2 hour complimentary hotel service tuk tuk. And once you get to Sukhumvit Road you can avail yourself of either the BTS Skytrain or the MTR Underground Train - both of which provide excellent services and can take you to most of the 'must see' tourist spots in Bangkok. The staff are wonderful here and you will always be greeted when coming or going with a very genuine smile and a sawadee - but what attracts me most is the great value for money. By booking assiduously in advance, you can take advantage of some great rates - often for considerably less than AU$100 you can book a 90 square metre fully serviced apartment. The roof-top pool provides very welcome relief on a hot day, and also provides some good views of the ever growing BKK skyline. Why pay twice the price and more for a five star hotel in the Sukhumvit area where the typical room size is 35 - 40 square metres? It just doesn't make sense to me. Both the 70 and 90 square metre apartments come with a fully functioning kitchen (pots and pans / cutlery / crockery, etc), dining room, lounge room, powder room, well appointed bathroom, large bedroom, balcony - and a washing machine. Really, you just can't go wrong!

Large Quiet Rooms”
It's my new go-to place at BKK. Quiet location yet close to Asoke BTS, Terminal 21 and other Sukhumvit attractions. Large rooms - a bit tired but very clean and functional and the washer machine is a bonus. Fast, reliable internet, ample TV choices, and best of all a very helpful and friendly staff. I've stayed at a lot of different places in Sukhumvit over the years but Grand Mercure is by far the best value for the money. Will be back.

Feb 2010”
It was my first time at the hotel. I read a number of reviews and recommendations for this and others but in the end the cost, overall recommendation and location made me choose it. Hotel is very nice. Best in its class and given my preferences (small/boutique/no carpets/private atmosphere/gym and pool) it has been my favorite place so far in Bangkok. Its very close to Sukhumvit itself - 3 min walk - but you don't have to hear the traffic and noise. Staff are very nice and courteous. Everybody is attentive. Rooms are superb. Great place for those with kids who are staying in the area (but they don't have any play structures in the pool or play gym or anything like that). Pool is not deep - more of a shortened lap pool so older kids should be ok, younger ones will need to stay close to the parents and be on the wide stairs going into the pool. Location is great though - at the top of the hotel.

Excellent hotel at an excellent price”
This is my first time staying at the Grand Mercure Hotel Asoke. Overall I was very pleased with the stay. For the price, this hotel is quite luxurious. The standard room is quite large, complete with a kitchen, living room, and laundry room. The hotel lobby staff is friendly, and I didn't have a single problem during my 4 night stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Excellent”
… though the facilities were somewhat curtailed by Covid restrictions. I especially appreciated their pet policy, since we're travelling with two dogs. Travelling with pets is not as easy in Thailand as in some other countries. But the Grand Mercure Asoke made it super easy for us.

PERFECT QUIET LOCATION ”
This was a great place to stay, with or without kids. Very close to mass transit systems, Terminal 21 Mall, restaurants and spas. A nice quiet part (surprisingly so) of Sukhumvit Bangkok. It's just a 4 minute walk to Sukhumvit road. We even went out 2 evenings with friends while the children stayed in the apartment with a baby sitter. That was arranged by the hotel staff and at a very reasonable price. We will surely stay here again.

Cozy and pleasant hotel”
Located in the center of Asoke, this hotel offers spacious rooms and clean interiors. The staff responded kindly to all inquiries and made it a satisfying trip. Although it is a little far from Asok station, it is convenient because a shuttle car is operated. I will make a reservation the next time I come to Bangkok.

Excellent hotel”
I had just stayed here for 3 days and liked the hotel so much that I checked in for an additional 3 days.........all at a fantastic price due to a sale on Agoda :-) The hotel is very modern and is more like serviced apartments, very homely indeed. The staff at reception always appear to be happy and smiling, and are very helpful. I had a massive room, consisting of bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen and two bathrooms........each with a walk in shower, I was very impressed!! This hotel is in a nice quiet location, but easy walking distance to the nightlife areas, with some nice restaurants in the surrounding areas. The BTS and MTR are both about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, the hotel also offers a free buggy to the BTS station, making it very easy to travel around Bangkok. A very enjoyable stay, I recommend the hotel to anyone, and I will certainly stay here again.

Beautiful aparthotel in a great location”
Great hotel in a handy location. For around £60 you get a huge apartment with large comfy bed, seating area, dining table, washing machine, kitchen and balcony. The rooftop pool is spotless and rarely busy. The hotel is around 5 mins walk to Asok BTS / Terminal 21 (also walkable to Sukhimvit MTR). Soi Cowboy is in walking distance. Great stop to escape the chaos of Bangkok and the washing machine is a real asset.

Satisfied but need improvement ”
This is my second time here. I chose suite 1 king bed superior this time. The room was a bit old. Washing machine was dirty and old and put in "balcony". There was 1 extra toilet. Because Of the dirty washing machine, I returned to lobby to pay more to upgrade to executive king suite which was I chose in the last visit. The room was huge. Washing machine was clean in the kitchen. Two bathrooms. But there was problem in water temperature, too hot or too cold. The location is perfect. Few minutes walk to asoke bts and sukhumvit MRT. Take airport line to makkansan station. There is a walkover connecting phetchaburi MRT which next stop is sukhumvit. There are many restaurants, convenience stores, food stalls on the way to station. Staff are very nice, even security staff at the gate. I will definite return here and recommend to friends. But executive suite only!

Great location, great service”
I chose the Grand Mercure for it's close location to Maccasan SRT station. I initially had a room on the top floor - but the noise of the swimming pool pump was too much. I asked to be moved and was given another apartment with no hassle.

Spacious, relatively convenient service apartment in the heart of the city”
We chose a service apartment this time round because we had our young baby with us, so a kitchen would allow us to prepare her meals. Thankfully we found Grand Mercure as it's probably the most convenient compared to the rest. Although the hotel provides free tuk-tuk rides to Robinsons (opp Terminal 21), we're always missing the rides. The walk out is around 7 minutes which is fine. There are food and convenience stores along the way and the supermarket at Robinsons is 24/7. Will definitely stay here again.

Good stay but rough start”
Ok so this is an issue with the hotel and Agoda. My travel partner and I were both booking the same room at the same time while waiting to board our flights from Phuket to Bangkok. Agoda listing indicated limited rooms , not last room, and we booked our rooms (full suites) within seconds of each other. We arrived and checked in at the same time only to find I had a room and my friends did not. It took about 30 minutes to straighten out and in the end the Hotel reluctantly agreed to refund in cash, the 2000 baht difference in the supplied room vs booked room. That was a painful experience. The room itself was good... large spacious with 2 AC units, 2 bathrooms with showers and (ensuite had full tub as well), full kitchen stocked with flatware and appliances, cooktop, and clothes washer... WiFi was great and the deck was good accept the AC units's condenser are also sharing the deck space and bring with them their compressor/fan racket... We sat outside and switched the units off for a bit of quiet whenever the temperature was agreeable outside. The shower was great although the water heater in the second bathroom would not heat the water... never used it after that so did not matter much to me. Other than the check in mess up, the only complaint I have is the key card did not always activate the elevator and sometimes I would have to ride up and down in the elevator trying to get to my floor. I did get the card reset but it did not fully solve the issue. DO NOT book a room with breakfast. The breakfast room is basically a hotel room with seats and tables and you may not get a seat for a while. There are many restaurants around, so I would explore a bit, its worth it. Oh one last note... in front of the doors is a large sewer grating that sometime smells pretty terrible.

Friendly staff, great location.”
We stayed in a deluxe king suite in the Grande Mercure. The room was enormous and the kitchenette well equipped. The washing machine was a bonus. The position on Soi 19 is great, only a very short walk to Terminal 21 or Emporium and also to the BTS and MRT station at Asoke. The staff were all very polite and helpful.

Hotel and location are ok, but some issues you should be aware of”
The room itself is fine...it is a big serviced apartment, and is decently equipped with kitchen. It appear to be quite an old building though, and the finishes and quality of the rooms reflect that, they were never the best quality and now they have aged considerably. Stayed at the shorter front tower of the development facing Soi 19, units in the big tower at the back maybe different, I don't know. Swimming pool on the rooftop is great. Soi 19 is a good location of course and the hotel is about 10 mins walk from Terminal 21 and the Asoke BTS. Warning - along Soi 19 is an open 'ditch' or small canal which is full of effluent/sewage....makes for a very unpleasant walk down Soi 19 most of the time. Finally, I am an accor member but I was told by staff of the hotel that accor points not applicable because the booking was made through agoda. That's wrong, and there should still be points - the room rate wasn't that amazing and points should be given proportionately. Natrually I am going to have a go at both Accor and Agoda over this issue. Overall assessment - if you're looking for a decent serviced apartment type unit in a good location, you could choose Grand Mercure Asoke, as long as it get it for a reasonable price like well under THB 3K per night.

Good hotel if you need cooking/cleaning amenities”
The Grand Mercure is essentially a service apartment environment. Perfect for stays traveling with children and nannies. Large sitting room. Spacious bedroom. Washing machine and pretty complete cooking facilities. Good location for access to public transit but on Soi 19 which has a quiet feel even though it runs parallel to the insanely busy Asoke/Rachada road.

My favorite hotel in Bangkok”
This is my favorite place to stay in Bangkok. It is only a few years old and centered in the posh Asoke district. The pool and gym are secluded and never crowded. Great attentive staff, the residence is always spotless. Great restaurants of all nationalities within walking distance. One block to the SkyTrain, beats the traffic anyday. Well worth the money.

Very Nice”
My home is Thailand, so I've stayed in many hotels in BKK. Grand Mercure is one of the best for location and high quality, easy access to skytrain and subway. Great room.
