We enjoyed the older wing as it was more quieter by the pool and not crowded lhan the family win. ”
We enjoyed the older wing with quieter pool side area than the family wing. However having said that we did have to listen to drilling of the new infinity pool that was not yet finished. I was told it would be by the time we arrived. But no biggy. Main pool area was beautiful. Rooms are lovely and big. However we had to ask a couple of times for clean towels everyday. Buffet was beautiful. We missed the village tour due to wrong info given by reception with duration of time and that we can rock up instead of booking. Would have been great and at $5 ahead...a good price. They have a dinner and show every night. However i believe this is way over priced at $170 for a family of 2adults and 2 children with no beverages. So we didnt do. The hotel is located near local restaurants so we ate there instead. Overall it is a beautiful place offering two completely different wings for your liking. Which is great.
Loved the breakfast! Was amazing! The hotel had a separate family wing and the kids loved it . Wonderful for famalies
Coming new facilities for Grand Mirage”
I stayed June 2019, they had 2 buildings. Unfortunately I booked the old one. We can still use the new building facilities that more family friendly. They had better play room, swimming pool for kids. You just need to walk along the beach from old building to new building. Soon new swimming pool for adult will be available as well.
Family friendly resort”
Great resort, great staff and very family friendly lots to do for kids, mini water park, kids club so mum and dad can have time off. Two pools water slide for all ages. All inclusive great not to worry about spending - not used water sports but all there. Trips - Boat trip to see turtles great - many temples to see - monkeys etc Also great places for romantic couple get away
Resort & Thalasso Bali excellent management & stafffriendly, do not like smokers in smoke free zone”
We felt that a lovely night at the Fire Dance show was spoiled by lots of kids going on the stage, which interrupted the performers singing. We did not pay to see children behaving badly. Otherwise loved the pools, water sports, yoga., water aerobics etc good fun. Breakfast was always a good variety of choices. Snack bars were fair., 1 day I had crispy chicken wings, really good, the next time I ordered the same dish the wings had a thick batter on, I could not eat it. The pool guy needs to take some control when someone leaves the pool as there were a lot of people who did not get a sunbed because towels were left on them all day unoccupied. We had a very nice time at the Grand Mirage Resort & relaxed at the lovely pools most days. Thank you to everyone. xxx😎😊
One of the best vacation destination with family”
Family time in Bali has never been happier when the hotel already has facilities with mini water park, several swimming pools, mini theater, private beach along with some activities and most of all are for free. My daughter love this hotel so much, and also love the room as we got the Girl Suite, first we got room 201 but didn't really like it due to unclean floor & bathroom, 2nd day we moved to room 101 with different ambiance and we really like this room as it got everything we ask. Overall this is a very nice hotel particularly if you bring your family along, they will have fun in this hotel, the family hotel area is separated from the main hotel (only a couple of minutes walking from the beach side), so we can move around for both locations for breakfast, & swimming. Breakfast is quite well especially coffee selection (really love the cappuccino) but quality of the main dish (rice etc) can be better.
Paid a lot of money for a room For two nights supposed to be relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and for both days we were there they were grinding concrete for 14 hours the first day and about 10 The next! Ruined the view of the ocean that we paid extra for and when we were sitting on the balcony at night had a massive flood light to look at till 9pm! It will be a lovely pool but if we wanted to stay somewhere and pay that type of money we should have at least had an option to back out as it wasn’t relaxing at all !!
Stayed 4 nights”
The room was clean but felt a bit cramped. We had 2 interconnecting rooms for our family. The hotel was noisy at night until late and very expensive to buy a drink near the pool. Most of the places to eat surrounding were expensive as well but we did manage to find 2 local places to eat nearby that were good food at a decent price. The buffet breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the water park.
Great hotel and staff”
We had some misunderstandings with rooms and locations at the start of our stay, but was promptly fixed and we felt really looked after. No words to express our gratitude to Gede who made our stay as smooth as possible, going out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our holidays. The staff throughout the whole hotel were really friendly and smiley with lots of attention to the kids. Dina from the restaurant was lovely with our kids and tried to attend our needs. We will definitely come back and would recommend this hotel to our friends.
We unfortunately went at a very busy time. Our room was not cleaned until late in the afternoon and for two of our three nights there we only had one bath towel and no bath mat, and no spare toilet roll. We found the reception staff not very friendly but the restaurant staff were lovely.
Kids friendly hotel”
I stayed at the old building. The facility is great but they mostly in the new building. So we need to walk thru the beach. Love the beach btw. And the pool okay. The new pool was so crowded. The food was good. Nice ocean view from my room. The reception staff is friendly but not well prepared. We need to wait quite long when check in time.
Lovely hotel and great location ”
We loved staying here. The only negative is the pool construction near the beach. (Near our room) It starts at 7am and goes to around 7pm. You learn to block out the noise. Love to come back when it’s completed. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was delicious.
Pros - the breakfast was amazing, the activities were good fun, we enjoyed the cooking demonstrations Cons - the upgrade works didn’t make for a very relaxing stay. The hotel is very dated. We didn’t think it was very good value for money.
The constant sound of saws and angel grinders filled the pool area from 8am till 5pm every day. Would be better if Agoda or their advertised this, still has a few months before its finished. And could do with some modern food options.
Could be more modern”
They’re in the middle of renovating the pool area building another big pool, just read reviews from 5 months ago mentioning this, and by the looks of the construction it’s got another 2-3 months to go. The food options is ok, but would be better if they updated to be more modern like seminyak restaurants. Limited gluten free or vegetarian options. Aircon was cold and WiFi worked mostly throughout the hotels. Kids club is good. Beaches had a heap of plastic and seaweed.
We were given on the family side (not the main building) Pros are for family with children. They have an awesome kids club to keep the kids occupied. Water sports operator just on the beach side. Pool side restaurant (on the family side is great) the staffs are awesome. They gave the my wife a complementary birthday cake. Cons may be the location for some. But there’s a convenient store just outside the hotel. (Taxi’s may be hard to come by but there’s app for it)
Very clean resort with lots of activities for children”
Resort organised a cake and birthday song for my daughter at breakfast. thankyou
We travelled with 13 people for my Husbands 40th. We had small kids, teenagers and adults and everyone had the best time. Staff were so helpful and so friendly. Breakfast buffet was amazing. We will be back
Convenient and good location for family with young children to holiday”
This Grand Mirage everything was ok and I give 4star for this hotel. Also I would like to compliment and much thanks to Pak Agung because he help me to transfer and changed room. He was very helpful. This hotel need to upgrade their internet, hot water in bathroom, variety food for breakfast and also please upgrade all the facilities in room like room 3349.. That’s all I can comment. One more for relaxing with family and kids this hotel are suitable for.
Had great Christmas there”
I stayed in the hotel with my family, which had young girl and an infant. The hotel location is pretty good in Nusa Dua, with mini market and nice restaurants just in front. However, the whole area is more of family area, and bit far of activities, but it is quiet and enjoyable. The hotel staff were nice and so fast. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. The pool is nice. Restaurant is cool with 24hrs service, but they serve pork for all meals, besides normal food. In general, we had good time there and would go back there for sure
