Excellent Hotel!! Roof top bar is amazing”
We spent the majority of our day time at the roof top bar (can't remember its name, sorry) drinks are pricey but yummy. The view was incredible. We only wish it wasn't so cold at night or we would have been up there again. They had heaters but the wind was too much for this Florida girl. However they have plenty of other options. They had a marathon or 5k happening the morning we woke up and we could of done without the guy on the microphone, but we turned on the TV to turn him out. We will definitely be back. This hotel was amazing, room was amazing. My only complaint was our door was hard to open but a quick call to maintenance and they were working on it. It still worked so it was great. If you are looking for a hot hang out, go to the bar!!!!!

Fun, fun, fun”
We enjoyed our stay at the Bellwether. The beach was beautiful, and we took advantage of the chairs provided by the resort. We also enjoyed a relaxing sunset dinner and drinks at Bongos. The room had two kings and was super clean. The staff were informative and attentive. You can’t go wrong staying here!

Great place, has everything you need, close walk to some shops and bus stop to get uptown or to downtown St. Petersburg. All there restaurant’s food was great ( they have chefs that like to cook )

Great location & value for what we paid”
Hotel is definitely reminiscent of the 1950’s-60’s FL. It could use some serious updating, but our room was adequate, especially for what we paid. The location is phenomenal. We walked to the liquor store, restaurants all around us, went to Publix, CVS, etc. The beach is gorgeous, as are the sunsets. Spinners is cool...definitely an experience, but make sure you make reservations a few weeks ahead of time, especially if you want it for sunset. Pool is small, but we spent our time on the beach. Cabanas & chairs are nice. Overall, for what we paid it was worth it. For the right price I’d probably stay there again.

Time to make upgrades”
The Grand Plaza has always been known as a nice, pricier hotel. However, the interior is ready for an upgrade as it’s starting to look run down (aside from the lobby area). Our bathroom did not work, we couldn’t shower (maintenance came twice and they still didn’t offer to switch us rooms) our balcony door didn’t lock and our AC unit made a chirp noise ALL night non of us could sleep. The staff was friendly enough and the location is perfect, but I was really let down with the room itself.

Having to have to pay an extra $88 after paying $388 for two nights because you have to pay for extra stuff you don’t use like beach towels in the winter is just gouging. We made our reservations and paid on line. Once at the hotel had to pay an extra $88 just to check in.

Booked a room here, had proof of a reservation, spent 45 min explaining this to (Gene/Gino) & showed him my reservation more than once in my phone. He finally said he had no room for us and called security bc my husband asked to speak to the manager. Unbelievable. I’m disputing the hotel charge with my bank. Unprofessionalism has turned me off for good. Thank goodness for Tradewinds immediate accommodations & price matching. This is unacceptable & poor customer service & down right embarrassing. And to top it off I received a survey about my stay that never happened. Hilarious but pitiful.

Our visit to the Grand Plaza was excellant We were very surprise how fabulous the Hotel was The whole staff could not be any better The restaurants were all terriffic but Spinners stood out the most - Excellant restaurant The beach and pool was lovely the music on the beach was outstanding - they had different bands play all day and we love music They could update the furniture and the bathrooms All in all - we had a fantastic experience at the Hotel Also they do not have Beachfront rooms available for Agoda and we paid for the better room
