Great value for money , part of the sunee tower complex with everything you could need and not far in a taxi from the night centre

Steven | March 16, 2020

Great location close to sky train and terminal 21, nana plaza, mcdonalds, tailors, everything you need right on your doorstep.

michael | March 6, 2020

The most convenient is its location in the heart of the city: lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and bts nearby.

Gordana | February 23, 2020

Soi 11 is really cleaning its self up and is worth staying there if you want to be in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok.

malcolm | February 25, 2020

We have stayed here in the past, finding its location easy getting to Metro and Bts stations.

George | February 18, 2020

I would recommend it to anyone one who wants to stay in the Sukhumvit area.

Comfortable Room in Great Location”

Location

This was my first time staying at the Grand President. I think it will become my go-to hotel in future visits to Bangkok. The location is awesome- right in the heart of Sukhumvit on Soi 11. I had a standard room in Tower 3, and it was rather large, including a sink, microwave, and larger than usual refrigerator. The bed was comfortable, as well. The only small complaint was the shower water. It was difficult to keep it at a nice temperature. It would fluctuate to some very hot moments, which was uncomfortable. The other other hotel features are nice- 3 swimming pools and 2 gyms. I used both gyms and the one in Tower 2 is definitely better than the one in Tower 3. The pool at Tower 3 seems to be the nicer of the lot, though. The breakfast was good, too. Overall, the Grand President is a very nice and reasonably priced hotel. I'll be back!

my home in bangkok”

location, free wi-fi, good facilities

whenever i go to bangkok, i almost always stay at the grand president now. i love the location on soi 11, and the price (if booked early enough) is always right. the rooms are a bit bigger than your average hotel room, and with the inclusion of a sink, plates, utensils, and microwave (in the building 3 standard rooms) it makes it easy to stay there for a while. it's a little bit older hotel, so it doesn't have a modern feel, but that doesn't bother me. everything you need is around the hotel or a short walk away. free internet access is given and works reliably. the bed is comfortable and the bathroom quality is sufficient. the staff are always friendly and helpful. check-in seems to take longer than most hotels, though- a lot clicking on the computer for reasons i'm not sure why. the gym, pools, and sauna are nice, as well. overall, the grand president will be my home every time i'm bangkok unless some drastic changes in their service.

My Go-to Place in Bangkok”

Location, Fair Price, Comfortable Rooms

I've been staying at the Grand President during my trips to Bangkok for many years now. I've lost count for how many times I've stayed there. The location is fantastic, being in the heart of Sukhumvit and the never boring Soi 11. The rooms are fairly priced. The pools are nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. Free internet. The suite rooms are much quieter than the standard rooms. The extra cost for those is worth it if you want a good night's sleep and more privacy. I'll be back at the Grand President the next time I'm in Bangkok.

Well Located Hotel with Comfortable Rooms”

Location, Price, Free Internet

The Grand President is my go-to hotel in Bangkok. It's very well located on Sukhumvit Soi 11, so everything needed is only walking distance away. The rooms are well maintained and are comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Free internet is provided through wired or wireless options. The three swimming pools and 2 gyms are sufficient, as well. If booked well enough in advance, the price you can get for the Grand President can't be beat considering all of these factors. I'll be back!

Great staff and value for money”

We stayed at the Grand President for 2 weeks in August 2017. I have seen many reviews of this hotel. Some are good and some bad. We stayed in the deluxe suite and i can only comment on the deluxe suite. We arrive and I have written down my requirements in Thai for the staff at reception as I only speak a little Thai. The staff are lovely people and we feel at home very quickly. The room is dated and will need refurbishment soon but everything works, good and comfortable bed, lots of room with cooker, lounge diner and washing machine and good air conditioning, like living in a small house. The training room is dated but works, the pool is good enough to swim for exercise, good facilities to change after training. The staff here are lovely people, very helpful and with good senses of humor. Room service very good and quick. This hotel rates are low because i think updating will be required, i think you can pay more then 50% more in other more modern hotels. My girlfriend and i like this hotel as it has what we need and the people are the best people. The people i think are a big thing for me when i stay at at a hotel. We will return here in November for a few days because of good memories before we travel to Koh Chang. Thank you Grand President for a lovely stay

Great Location, Comfortable Rooms”

Location

This is my go-to hotel in Bangkok. It's centrally located on Sukhumvit; everything you need is nearby: restaurants, bars, clubs, skytrain, shopping, street food. Even though Soi 11 can be a little noisy, the rooms are still quiet. The staff is always friendly and helpful when needed. Though the hotel is a little older, it is still very comfortable. The rooms are rather spacious and the bed is fine. Breakfast is good, as well. The swimming pool in Building 1 is the nicest of the pools and the fitness center in Building 2 is the better one. Sauna and steam rooms are also available there. Free Internet makes it easy to stay connected. Overall, each of my stays here have been great. I'll be back to the Grand President!

My Go-to Hotel in Bangkok”

Location, Price, Amenities

I've been staying at the Grand President hotel during my trips to Bangkok for many years now. I constantly go back to the GP because of the location and the price. Soi 11 is an awesome place. Everything you need is around you and the Skytrain is only a few minutes walk away. I usually stay in a standard room, but I wanted a bit more quiet, so I stayed in a deluxe suite this time. It's a nice room and is quieter than the standard room. If you're not going to be spending a lot of time in room, I wouldn't suggest it, however, since you probably won't take advantage of the extra space and stuff in the suite. Anyway, the GP is great and I'll definitely be back again!

Grand President, My Moneys worth”

Location, My Junior Suite,Hotel Staff

I booked my hotel online and it was very simple. The hotel is located one block from the Sky Way making it easy to get around Bangkok. Many street vendors, so I could get anything I needed like any of the locals. I enjoyed my daily massage, my strolls around the area. The room included a daily buffet breakfast (both local and American items). All of the staff were knowledgeable and exerted extra effort accommodating my wishes. I would not hesitate to recommend the Grand President. I am returning to Bangkok next month and am booking the Grand President again.

great location, the street was very interesting and convenient

me and my friend stayed at the grand president hotel bangkok for 5 nights. we are 26 years old and from nyc so naturally we wanted a hotel with a great location and great ammenities at a decent price, so when we found this hotel it was meant to be. the hotel room itself was very clean but it was small. the breakfast at the hotel was pretty good as well, it was a combination of continental breakfast items with indian food, thai food and american food such as an omelette station.

Great Location and Comfortable Rooms”

Location, Free Internet, Good pools

The Grand President is my go-to hotel in Bangkok. This is mostly because of its great location on Sukhumvit Soi 11, but also because the rooms are comfortable and it's just an easy place to stay. Everything you need is around the hotel whether it's food, markets, nightlife, or transportation. The rooms are big enough and well maintained. Considering how many times I've stayed at the hotel, I don't think I would consider it a 4-star hotel. I would say 3.5 stars! But, it's still a great hotel, and I will definitely be staying there again.

Great place to stay in Bangkok”

I have been staying at The Grand President Hotel each time I visit Bangkok for over 20 years now and each time I return it feels like coming back home. The location is fantastic and there is so much more going on in Soi 11 now compared to 5 or 6 years ago. I always take a suite with kitchen, lounge area and work desk, allowing enough space for a more than comfortable and efficient stay. The Hotel offers excellent value for money, the staff are friendly and competent in their respective positions and the rooms are always nice and clean. I didn't get much time to explore all of the facilities due to work commitments, but there is a pool, a gymnasium, restaurants and room service available so lacks very little. Great place to stay!

Grand President Soi 11”

Friendly and helpful staff members, good location for everything
not many. The standard room (Opal whatever) is a bit small, but not bad

I have stayed at The Grand President Hotel many times. It is within a 10 minute walk from Bumrungrad Hospital and a 2 minute walk from the BH shuttle bus stop on Sukhumvit. A similar 2 minute walk to the Nana BTS, from where all of Bangkok is reachable. Good internet service, but a bit pricy. I would stay here over any other hotel in the price range.

Needs Renovation, but Still a Nice Place to Stay”

The Grand President has been my go-to hotel in Bangkok for many years. Its location on Soi 11 is awesome. Everything you need surrounds the hotel. Soi 11 has lost some of its charm recently since street food vendors have been removed and reconstruction projects are starting soon, but it's still a great Soi on which to stay. The hotel is still a fine place to stay, but it is in need of some renovations. The rooms are starting to feel tired now and the gym and sauna are in need of an update. There seemed to be more little bugs making appearances than in my previous stays. Maybe the lack of renovations is what is keeping the price down still, which for those on a budget is a good thing. It's one of the very few hotels where you can get a suite that includes a full kitchen and washing machine for under a $100! I guess you have to be careful what you wish for. Anyway, now that I'm traveling with a toddler, it's nice to be able to get a suite where we can each have our own room for sleeping and plenty of space for her to run around and play without breaking my wallet. I will probably stay here again the next time in Bangkok for that reason alone. The other amenities (pools, breakfast, staff) are all fine.

Grand President hotel bangkok”

beautiful rooms...clean, safe safe in room, wireless internet access
hot water is sometimes lacking

I have stayed at the Grand President many times in the past few years. It is my favorite hotel in Bangkok for the Sukhumvit nana area. The hotel is convenient in location. Safe and clean. I wish they had Foxnews on their cable TV...only CNN. The hot water often is somewhat lacking, despite the luxurious rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning is amazing. You can live all day off of the buffet. Locale is close to Nana, Soi Cowboy. Great restaurants everywhere.

Book The Superior Room In Tower 1 or 2”

I just spent a week at the Grand President before returning home to the US. What a great place the GP is! I flew in from Koh Samui and when I checked in all the superior rooms in the category that I booked were taken. I was upgraded to a beautiful a suite one floor below the top that had a bedroom, living room, kitchen, dinning room and computer work station area. All this with breath taking views of the Bangkok skyline from a corner room. This is my tenth visit to GP and I have found that if you book the lowest price room in tower 3 located across the street above the German Beer House you never get upgraded. My advice is to spend a little more for Tower 1 or 2. The rooms are better and quieter. The walls seem to be pretty thin in Tower 3 and you can hear everyone walking down the hall. If you check in late you may get lucky like I did and get an unbelievable suite for like $45 USD. Always a shock to leave the GP with its stunning location and unbelievable customer service and then check into a San Francisco hotel that is a dive comparatively for $200. One of the GP bell staff remembered me and thanked me for supporting the GP and he really meant it.
