Good time in Grand Riviera Princess”
It really was good time in Grand Riviera Princess! The resort is not brand new, but well maintained, clean and pleasant. I travel to different resort every year in Riviera Maya, so I have a good comparison. Princess has a very good design - the dual layout, Sunset on southern side, Riviera on northern side, Platinum to east - close to ocean works great. Plus beach to main lobbies (Sunset & Riviera) walk is nice and seems shorter, because of string of swimming pools on both sides of a walk, with plenty of activity and people around. There is enough of restaurants and large snack bars - Riviera and Sunset changing from breakfast/lunch buffets to evening restaurants- Fondue, Las Olas, Bocca and the steak house 2 is a good idea! Platinum beach was very nice, although the staff is fighting loosing battle with surf, taking the sand away. I saw some palm trees cut away, because the ocean came closer... Food was excellent and service very good. Special thanks to Platinum Lounge people!

Incredible resort, absolutely stunning!”
I could not believe how beautiful this resort was. It was our first time doing an all inclusive holiday and we were spoiled at the grand riviera princess! The food was amazing and drinks never ever stopped flowing! Beautiful spacious rooms and everywhere in the resort is spotlessly clean. The beach is so relaxing and the entertainers are great fun too! Would 100% recommend to others!

Just gets better and better”
I hadn't been there for more than five or six years, so I knew The Grand Riviera Princess was a very nice resort. However, I didn't think it could get much better, but boy was I wrong! My wife and two kids really had a GREAT TIME! The bubble cannons at the beach are fabulous fun! The food and service is even better than we remembered. I honestly can't think of one single thing bad or even mediocre to say about the experience. It was just Great!! We definitely have to do it again, like next year.

Good value for the money”
I've been to several All Inclusive resorts and in my opinion many are on the same category. It only depends on the price point. This resort is very large with well maintained grounds. The beach is eroding, as are most in the area. The food at the al a carte restaurants was much better than the buffets. The buffets were not great, but you could make do. Made to order omelettes in the morning were great. The sports bar is open 24/7 and has good food.

Think twice before booking here!”
From all restaurants, only 2 were open The bar from the pool closes at 5 pm! No music by the pool, only the echo from loud tourists/kids Bathrooms near the pool were extremely dirty (literally overflowing with 💩) We waited over 20 mins to receive a table for the buffet at breakfast, when we walked in, there were so many empty tables! It is an all inclusive resort, but room service is an extra charge! And is the only option youve got after 9:30 pm TERRIBLE covid measures. Not eco friendly AT ALL. Were living in 2020, this is one of the few hotels in the area that still use plastic disposable cups/plates. In general food was very disappointing. No bathrobes, no extra pillows nor blankets in room, curtains did not close completely, very small TV. The only good things about this hotel is that the hotel itself is very pretty and the staff is nice (special shoutout to Jesus working at the bar by the beach! Excellent service)

Excellent resort ”
This resort is huge and a lot of things to see and do. We stayed 6nights and didn’t used or see other parts of the resort. All staff are exceptional. Pools are clean, the beach is gorgeous, food are all right. Drinks are yummy, plus a lot of animals are living there these add another awesome things about this resort. 2 things I wish they they had provided since the room we stayed was quite big (junior suite I guess that was their smallest room). I wish they had provided slippers and ropes. Again thanks for all hard working staff.

Broken toilet”
We stayed at the grand sunset princess platinum for 5days but when our flight was changed I had to book an extra night and had to go to riviera for just an extra night. It was a huge difference, staff was still amazing and room was clean but the toilet was broken the seat flung when I sat down and no shampoo or conditioner like in the Platnum.

Relaxing fun ”
Loved the pools and beach area. I highly highly recommend the platinum upgrade for rooms being placed close to beach, special beach area with comfortable beach chairs/more shade, and the upgraded liquor selection. Ate at one a la carte (seafood) and it was very good. The dinner buffet...only good thing I can say about it was the desserts were actually amazing. Breakfast and the taco cart by the pool plus snack foods in platinum lounge area kept me going all day. The live bands that played every nite were

Excellent”
Very clean and the food was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We called before we booked our trip and asked about what type of liquor they served. They told me it was all good quality liquor but come to find out the hard way that we needed to upgrade our stay. It was still good but not the best. The beach was terrible. Rooms are very nice and clean . Oh forgot room service is not free they charged us for order food.

Check room catagory”
This hotel and the entire property is beautiful. Be prepared to walk a lot! Food was plentiful and lots of choices, but nothing was out of this world delicious. Be sure to verify your room category. We had lots of people there for a wedding and lots of mixups on the categories. They may try to say you owe more or just place you in something less than you paid for. Just know what you should be getting when you arrive so they do not give you a lower category. Other than that, great fun in the sun!!

Decent Trip”
We went as a group of seven people. The resort is long, so if your group is assigned rooms in different areas of the hotel it can be cumbersome to meet up with everyone. The food at the a la cart restaurants is good, especially the mexican. Steak house was good but the portions are very small. The buffets are good for breakfast but skip them for dinner, just get a sandwich at the sports bar if you don't have a la cart reservations. The beach is nice and the pools are good, but the pools are spread out. The rooms are nice and housekeeping does a great job. in all the resort is good value for the money.

not my kind of travel”
I was invited to a family wedding here but an all inclusive is not our kind of travel. It was like being in a resort in the U.S.they even played American music all day. Didn't get much of a Mexico flavor. They have created a safe and protected environment away from the local town. I think that this is for people who don't speak the language and are scared of the challenge of interacing and the adventure of getting to know the locals

We came to this resort for a family Destination Wedding”
My husband and I went to the resort for a family wedding. There were 40 of us in total. For the wedding day itself was a perfect backdrop for the day.. naturally with the glorious sun over the water. The cons were the desserts should have been put out later as there was nothing to nibble on in the later part of the celebration. Also I found it tacky that when we arrived they were still decorating and before we left they were taking the decorations down??... VERY BAD Etiquette!!!?? The pros was the music and the vast selection of food. As for the rest of vacation: There should be some staff available for guidance through out the resort due to its size My flight home was delayed and I wanted to get in touch with the driver ... there was going to be an extra charge for that service which I feel should be included It should be first come first serve for the specialized restaurants Pros: Beautiful landscaped grounds w/protected wildlife Variety of entertainment

It was a decent experience. ”
The food was terrible. The beach was great, the room was very nice (the hot tub jets!), and our drink cups were always full of delicious mojitos. The food options and restaurants were honestly awful, the best food we ate was from a cart by the pool. We also had a lot of trouble booking an excursion with the hotel, do that ahead of time for sure! So there are multiple hotels clustered into one, and we definitely heard a lot of fun things going on at night that we couldn't find! This was definitely a kid focused family friendly hotel, so if you're a young couple definitely look for an adults only place to have more fun activities. You get what you pay for and because the hotel was on the cheaper side, the experience reflected that in the activities and food. We felt like we had done everything there was to do there after a few days, and got a little board towards the end.

Disappointing food and staff on lovely facilities ”
Lovely grounds and facilities; downside is the severely eroded and crowded beach. Restaurants have very simple menus and not well executed: food was mediocre. Staff leave a lot to be desired: (1) Security was extremely rude and unaccomodating to friends who wanted to pick up residents; (2) After check-in, bellboy asked 4 times if I was sure I wanted help taking my luggage to my room, and suggested I do it myself that my room was close enough (my room was at least a 5min walk away and I had multiple bags); (3) For check-out, no immediate response to my call for help with luggage. Ended up taking all my luggage myself and was met 15mins later when I was already at the lobby; (4) Was in line 20 mins to check-out. Would not recommend.

I was attending a conference nearby so did not use the facilities so much but everything was great - food, rooms and lots going on that I may use next time on vacation.

Exceptional”
I had a wonderful four days stay here with my fiancé. The areas that need improvements are the food and the tiles in the bathroom were slippery after a shower. Other then that, it was great. I would definitely come back!

Excellent resort with friendly and accommodating staff. The only problem with this resort is that they do not remove the seaweed off the beach. This makes it impossible to enjoy the beach as the smell is horrendous!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in MX”
We booked a week, and a few hours later another 3 days in order to make it 10 days total. While checking in, we reinforced that to the front desk and they confirmed that our stay was going to be 10 days straight in the same room. The evening of the 3rd day we were contacted by the front desk, with a notification that the following morning we had to pack, check out before noon, wait until 3:30 pm, then check in again. Any attempt to explain how ridiculous this was, including talking to the night manager Porfirio, resulted in a refusal to fix the situation. Check in typically takes at least one hour in this particular resort. We lost an entire day with this nonsense. We also noticed that roughly half of the personnel were not polite. This came as a total surprise, considering that we vacation in Mexico at least five times a year. for instance, barkeepers do not necessarily comply with the customer’s request. Air conditioning is scant in some restaurants.
