“Not that good”
I had high hopes of staying at a five-star hotel in the heart of Jakarta. But unfortunately what I got was not as expected. Starting from the service at the reception, the staff were very friendly but it seemed like they were too busy with a lot of business to focus only on serving me as a client. Arriving at the room, the initial impression of the room was good, neat, clean but everything changed when the room became wet every time the bath tub was filled, the floor was slippery, and when stepped on, water came out of the joints between the tiles. This was very worrying for me as I was staying with a child and I was constantly worried about my child slipping and falling due to the constantly wet and slippery tiles. The first time I asked to be checked, the staff did not do anything, only when I asked to come again at night, did they provide a solution by offering to give extra towels to cover the tiles so as not to get wet or move to another room that specifications are not better than the one I am in now even below. My disappointment increased when I was informed by the delivery staff that the swimming pool was currently being renovated, whereas the pool facility was one of the factors that made me want to stay here, but there was no information regarding this from the reception staff when I checked in. With all of the above, there was no compensation for me and my family, which in similar conditions in other hotels I would probably get an offer to move to another room with facilities above what I am currently staying in. Really very disappointed with the facilities I got. The only positive thing about this hotel is the hospitality of the staff which I acknowledge and thank, but anything else regarding facilities and compensation, is very disappointing.
