Avemario”
I had the impression that breakfast was included, as it said so on your booking site, but it was not. Is a 5 storey hotel, but has no lift. The "seaview" rooms, which cost extra, on the second floor, did not give a view of the sea because of the low and bushy trees out front. No balcony. The first room I was given - the windows would not close making it easy for mosquitoes and thieves to get inside. The second room did not have a shower curtain, or anywhere to hang the towel, nor a soap dish near the shower. No sink plug. Only 2 coat hangers. The TV control did not work and they had no spare. No WiFi in the room, and unreliable at Reception. Only a dozen channels on the TV, none of them in any language other than Thai. One of the room chairs collapsed under me, and had to be thrown out. As a 75 year old experienced traveller, I can say that most hotels I have stayed at in Thailand at half this price were much better.

Good location but hotel quite old”
Hotel is located in good location. Easy to find food and not far from pier (5 min walk). Near beach ans sea. Good staffs. But the hotel quite old and room quite not clean. Air condition seem not work properly. (not cold as expected). Bathroom door cannot close from outside.

Good location”
We needed to spend the night to catch a morning boat, the hotel is located 5 minutes away from Nathan pier. It is quite an old hotel, but it was clean and the staff were friendly.

Avoid this place”
Booked because close to port which was the only good thing about this place. Staff didn't seem to care about you at all, threw us the keys and didn't even point us in the right direction. Pictures of the rooms were very deceiving. Bathrooms were gross, rooms were not clean, constant dogs barking outside throughout the night. Sounded like dogs were getting attacked it was that loud. We had two nights booked and only stayed one night, that is how bad it was.

Nice hotel, location Okay.”
It really depends what you are looking for. But with free kayaks and a nice shallow sea, it would be great for kids. The pool was nice too.

Great hotel, close to the pier.”
This was a great hotel, very relaxing. Swings and hammocks on the beach. Even free kayaks.

Worst hotel experience in 30 years of travel”
WWe booked the deluxe sea view the gave us a second floor room just above the pool. According to staff every room on the sea side of building is sea view even if you can't see the sea. No help with bags, room was dirty, absolutely did not match photo. Two small window even though we paid for best room. Tried to cancel when they refused to relocate us. Clerk was verbally abusive, Hot water heater was broken, Bathroom had a sign do not put toilet paper in toilet. Air barely worked

Good Location, But Terrible Room”
So obviously it's a budget room on the quieter area on the island. If you get a room with a sea view, it'll be gorgeous. Otherwise you'll get a room without a balcony or even a window. Unfortunately, it's not located on a beach meant for swimming, but the sandbars are cute. As for the room, it was less than pleasant. Everything seemed really old and dirty. The bathroom was a joke - a filthy bathtub without a stopper to actually hold water, and a makeshift shower hose too short to use while standing...and no shower curtain. Overall, you'll be better off getting a nicer room for cheaper elsewhere.

You get what you pay for”
Most rooms are cheap and REALLY horrible, our first one had holes in the walls and a lot of scuff marks on the walls. Front office staff seemed friendly, but the house staff we're not happy about us moving rooms - maybe if they did their jobs properly, we would not have had to. If you do stay here, opt for the premium rooms as these are at least passable as accommodation, but more expensive. I've stayed in plenty of cheap hotels over the years, but this, at £22 a night really is one of the worst. So bad in fact, we left, even having paid upfront for the rooms (it's that bad). Not even staying one night, we opted for Kanok Buri Resort down the road on Lipa Noi beach, which is what we should have booked in the first place! Avoid like the plague, unless you want to catch it.
