A new type of family getaway”

It was an interesting summer getaway fof my family. The resort has a lot of potential if it will be improved. I saw a wave pool being built. I felt that the front desk was a little under staffed considering the bulk of guests that day. But the staff were friendly. Buffet breakfast was good. But restaurant service during other meal time is a little slow. Generally, for us, its a good place to go to only for a night or two if you plan to stay im the island.

Stay was good except they charge extra for kids!”

1. They did not inform us that departure from SBMA was now 1pm so we had to wait for a couple of hours for a new boat to arrive and initially they weren't even sure if they can provide one. 2. They charge extra money for kids even at 4 yrs old! Hotels normally allow 1-2 kids in the room for free. 3. Staff in the resort were attentive and friendly so no issue. But staff at the terminal in SBMA was deceptive. I was inquiring about the resort and she told me that it was full. When we got there, the resort was less than 50% occupied!

Breakfast which is terrible.”

Room had good condition with hot shower and ocean view. But the breakfast was the most terrible in my life compare with room rate and the swimming pool was very dirty even though the swimming pool was wide. I never go there again. Only one time is enough. But staffs was very kind and helpful.

It's our first time at SBMA and we enjoyed it so much. We really appreciate that the crew of the ferry who took us to the island waited even we are a half hour late. I would definitely go back with my husband and our kids.

It was a nice getaway, but some surprises ...”

In my haste to book a room in Subic at the last minute I didn't realize that this resort was accessible only by ferry. You're stuck there. In fact I arrived around 4 pm and was told the last ferry was long gone. However they sent a speedboat and I arrived at the hotel quickly. The facilities are a bit shopworn, but the location is interesting and there are some small parcels of white sand beach and very clean water since they are on the leeward side of the island.

For a last minute booking during holiday season, it was a surprise that the hotel still has available rooms given its location. However, when we arrived there, we found out why. The resort needs renovation and improvement in all aspects -- landscapes, shoreline, amenities inside the room (cable tv only has 2 channels), beach shoreline and swimming pool. I like that the rooms are far from each other but the accessibility of theresort facilities are sacrificed because there aren't enough golf carts available. Will only go back if it's been renovated already.

Never Again!!!”

Never again! ! First the beach was very ugly with brown sand and very rocky! The water was very itchy! We all had allergies after! The water was dirty you will see floating trash on the water. The pool was ugly too! Seemed like a 90s pool to me. We even saw a floating dead cockroach. Food was so so. The room was pretty fine.
