The rest I needed”
It's been a crazy year with deadlines everywhere and the two nights we spent at Granny Mouse was exactly what we needed. There are two pools, a Spa and lots to choose from on the television in the room, so entertainment is all there for you. The bar is very accommodating and drinks around the pool while the kids play is a definite must. Breakfast in the 'atrium' is a beautiful experience, and I cannot recommend the Eaves restaurant enough. It is fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere and so worth it.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration”
Had a very enjoyable stay. The river view room was beautiful with lots of special touches and the staff were very friendly. The fine dining meal at Eves was outstanding and because it was our anniversary we were treated to a surprise for dessert and a special turn down when we got back to our room. Highly recommend this resort

Granny Mouse”
Spent one night at Granny Mouse in a deluxe room. The location is great to explore the Midlands. Rooms were clean, comfortable and met all our requirements. Lovely view from the private deck and fireplace made it extra special. Appreciated the glass of champagne on arrival and complimentary snacks and refreshments in the bar fridge. Breakfast was delicious and portions are very generous. We enjoyed our brief stay.

I found the property to be amazing. The room was good, however a bit dated. The dining area was as common (trying to be nice here) . Was more a poor class cafe style. After the first meal i rather ate in the room, very, very disappointed. I stayed at the hotel many years ago and told my wife what a wonderful experience the dining was ], what a huge disappointment. food was good if you enjoyed beetroot, the chef was besotted with the stuff. Once you got past the sickly colour of the beetroot the food was very good. Overall a huge disappointment. There are much better venues with a much more reasonable rate. Just search. Last visit for me.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS”
The staff are amazing, attention to detail. Room was more than expected, loved the little touches like chocolates every night, the bar fridge that is replenished every day free of charge, the gowns, slippers, comfortable bed with good pillow support and of course the lovely fire place! It was a real treat and worth every cent we paid. The restaurant was also very good value for money and the breakfasts, superb!

Unfortunately i found better rates on their website 2 days before our stay. Very disappointed that Granny Mouses did not try to make some sort of concession for us having paid R1000 more. I am still waiting for the manager to send a response which i doubt will ever arrive. I had good memories having stayed here previously and therefore wanting to share it with my family but now i have buyers remorse...

If you are looking for a rip off, spiders and bed bugs you have found the place.”
What a rip off! When we confirmed our booking with Chantelle we mentioned that my mother is in a wheelchair. Granny Mouse is not wheelchair friendly and we were very restricted to what we could access. In our deluxe suite the toilet bowl was brown on edges. We had to order Doom and bug spray in order to get rid of spiders and unwanted insects. We came back with spider bites and bed bug bites. The spa is not up to a Camelot spa standard it was noisy, no one seems to answer the telephone when it rings and somehow they managed to miss painting three of my mother's finger nails. I'm not sure if this is their special package. The lady presenting the wine and macaroon tasting has never had red wine before and has very little knowledge about white wine. Somehow we were one macaroon short the chocolate one which is paired with the red wine. As we could not access the dining room for breakfast with the wheelchair we had room service which was poor. A waste of R14000!

Great Staff - Expensive Dinning”
Overall a great stay with very helpful and friendly staff - well done on this. I do however think that charging R95 for corkage in the restaurant is excessive
