The best choise for that price”
Very helpful and friendly stuff. I checked bungalows nearby lately and Green Cottage one was best offer for that little price. It was cool in bungalow even with fan, and it was enough space inside and considerable good condition compare to other offers (even pricier). Stuff was helpful and friendly, and view from resort was stunning. You can also rent bike here without money/ID deposit if you stay here. Party are on nearby village you an walk to, and fisherman bazar with fresh seafood and souvenirs are in 15 minutes by bike.

Cozy family-run bungalows near quiet bay”
I have stayed here twice, once with a friend and once with my boyfriend. It is family-run and feels very homey for that reason. The Thai food is pretty good and the staff are very accommodating. This is not an all-inclusive resort so you do have to ask for things. Often you may have to wake the sleeping grandmother up from her cat nap, but if you're ok with that it's a great deal. It's not very close to the lonely beach area so be prepared to walk on winding roads, rent a motorbike, or pay about 50B each way on a songthaew. I find that the distance is worth it since these bungalows are better quality and quieter than the comparable resorts closer to Lonely Beach. Lastly, when I first got there the water was broken in our bungalow and they were being a little cheeky about fixing it, so this is a good place if you're not bothered needing to ask twice for things. Great for the price though!

Quiet resort with clean rooms and nice pool”
We choose this resort just for the location on the southern part of Koh Chang. We were planning to stay only 1 night but ended up staying 4!! It's a really quiet area, the rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. Not only for services like laundry, bus/boat tickets, but also for helping us finding a nice place to go out. Nice, clean bungalow”
While not every cottage is on the beach we happened to luck out and have a wonderful view of the ocean. The pool is nice and the bungalows are pleasant. While the bungalows line the ocean there is no beach in front of the resort. Though as the tide lowers later in the day it is easy to walk to the bay next to the resort. I wouldn't recommend the food from the resort, but there are plenty of cheap and good places nearby.

Cute hotel run by friendly and easy thai people”
easy place where to stay. not sophisticated hotel, cute and comfortable huts, good breakfast, decent pool and attached to a very calm little beach (bailan bay). wi-fi connection is also working good and they have fast and cheap laundry service. ask them when you want your hut to be made up.

We had a great holiday. The room was budget but clean, and we really enjoyed the stay. For the price, we wil be coming back again. There were a bunch of ants coming into the bathroom, but we grabbed a can of insect spray on the first day and had no more problems. The pool was nice, but needed some cleaning. The beach was only a short stroll away, 50m south of the hotel the sand was great and nice clean beaches. Unfortunate that the steps down to the beach from the hotel were a bit neglected. Overall, for the price, this was the best hotel on Koh Chang. If you are fussy, would recommend spending more and going to a more upmarket hotel. For budget travellers this hotel was awesome.

Very good”
A very nice place to stay right on the beach. The Gardens are lovely with lots of fruit on trees. The Cottage was clean and comfortable. The resort is nice and quiet for a relaxing stay. They have Bikes for hire and they have a Washing service at reasonable cost. There are a few Restaurants close by with very good food at very good prices with excellent service by local staff.

Peaceful resting place”
i stayed only one night because they didn't have free rooms after that. good clean bungalow, very cosy. tv, fan (not so powerful though), wc, hot shower, balcony, big bed, closets. floor made noise when walking. yard was very beautiful and the atmosphere was very peaceful overall. staff very nice and american breakfast (2 eggs, very good bacon, 5 slices of ham, salad, 2 cups coffee) 9/10 and 120 thb. i would go again, if i wouldn't have any needs to go too often to white sand beach, which is 15km north from green cottage.

Fine for the price...”
Stay wasn't bad, but not exceptionally good either. Bungalow was relatively clean (as clean as a light straw/wood construction can be), as was the Thai-style bathroom (very open, i.e. window "slits" without any mosquito netting to keep out insects and other wildlife - we had a few visitors in the bathroom at night, such as slugs and beetles - one of which I'm sure tried to fly right up my left nostril). AC worked well, as did the little fridge. Lighting horribly bad (very dim energy-saver CCFL bulb in the ceiling, same thing in the nightstand light) - we spent most of the time with a flashlight on tailstand (aimed at the ceiling) instead. Pool is nice, but tiny (much smaller than it appears on the pictures - about 3x2 meters). Restaurant serves tasty food (tried the fried rice and Pad Siiew) and fruit shakes, and the poolside service is good too. The staff are very helpful if you ask them for anything... not so much if you expect proper hotel-style service. Also: There's practically no beach to speak of - just a 2x5m strip of sand and rocks in front of a mangrove swamp... if you climb over a few rocks and through a few bushes you can reach the Mercure Hideaway's beach (it's practically next door), but obviously the beach chairs etc. are reserved for that hotel's guests... The WiFi worked fine most of the time (well enough for loading web pages - no chance for any kind of multimedia streaming, obviously), but would sometimes crash (complete disconnection, probably due to the cheap consumer grade router rebooting itself due to overload) or just refuse to load pages for hours at a time - this didn't happen often, but when it did, it was extremely annoying. 3G as a backup is highly recommended! If your budget is severely limited and you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room or even at the hotel itself, what you get at Green Cottage is perfectly fine for the money. If you can swing $50 or $100 or $150 per night, however, go ahead and spend it...

Quiet area, clean rooms, bay view”
i stayed at green cottage during low season so it was almost empty which was nice if you're looking for some quiet and relaxation. the staff spoke english and were kind of accommodating. they sell motorbikes which are a must if you want to explore the island. the rooms were simple, small but come equipped with air conditioning, tv, hot shower, towels and water. you have to ask the staff to change your bedding if you so prefer. i felt quite safe during my stay and would stay again. advice=bring a mosquito net as bugs do sometimes find their way in during the night.

lovely little place great location ”
we stayed at the sea terrace bungalow for 4 nights and really enjoyed the stay what a lovely peacefull resort friendly staff great little pool looking out to the beach breakfast ok the bungallow was a bit in need of repair or freshen up but a lovely terrace to sit and relax to the wonderfull views of lonley beach.

Nice location, right next to the ocean”
this is a cute little place right next to the ocean. they have a nice swimming pool and a beautiful garden. its very uncomfortable to sleep in a fan room unless it has rained that day, which generally cools the air. the bed was comfortable... didn't try out their restaurant as i wasn't sure when they were open most of the time. the second night we were there, my boyfriend and i were swimming in the pool and these two little thai kids ran over to stare at us... they said something about "farang dep," which my boyfriend said meant "foreign scumbag" in thai. that kind of put a damper on the evening. if these little kids think its ok to talk about strangers like that to their faces, i can only imagine what their parents are saying about westerners behind closed doors. also, the girls who work there gave me dirty looks. why? probably because i'm "farang." in addition to the rude little children (i don't know if they were guests or the kids of people who live there), there are a number of dogs that roam around the bungalow garden at night, and when i went to take a shower they barked at me from outside. very annoying. also, they barked loudly several times throughout the night and woke me up. but its thailand, what are you going to do about the dogs? no one here cares about them and lets them roam around at will. we went out to eat one night and locked the door. when we came back and tried to unlock it, it would not budge. my boyfriend and i tried for 10 minutes and had to ask the staff to help. if you stay here, don't lock the doorknob itself. use the lock they provide on the latch... lastly, the power went out on the same night we encountered the rude children, got woken up by dogs, and had to deal with the jammed doorknob. if you're going to vacation in thailand, spend extra money to stay at one of the nicer places. if you stay at cheap places like this you are more than likely to encounter problems such as these.

A hidden gem if you like a quiet place”
a small family type of resort, hidden away from the main road and the mass tourism. new clean bungalows, nice swimming pool and a fantastic sunset :). very friendly staff. recommended for families with small children who can really enjoy the pool. we called in advance to verify that wireless internet is available (it is for free) and got the best located bungalow reserved for nothing extra. the beach here is stony and not suitable for swimming, but sandy ones only a small drive away.

Nice bungalows at the beach”
The bungalows were nice, private and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The bungalows are right at the beach, which was perfect. You can enjoy the sunset from there. You have to rent a scooter though, to be mobile and to see the rest of the island. It's a far walk to the nearest center.

nice and quite place to stay, garden & smal pool”
the room & bath room are ok for the price. no wifi in room. the owner seems not to know what is mentioned on agoda list. i selected an aircon room because web site mention wifi not available in fan room, but have in air con!!! when i arrived they told me that wifi only available in dining room! tv, aircon, hot shower worked well. negative point, there is no room cleaning service during your stay.

Lovely resort but staff not very good”
Overall not a bad place to stay but apart from breakfast you need to eat elsewhere as they dont do lunch or dinners. The staff could do with some lessons in being friendly and you dont get your room cleaned or clean towels for the whole of your stay. We will not be returning to the island because we felt that the island had been neglected, basicaly we felt the whole island was dirty and i know there are better to choose from for example Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Jum. We were out all day so didn't spend too much time at the resort. It was ok!

Clean cottage near balian bay”
Hotel staff are helpful, room is good enough for people travel on buget.laundry service is good. But they only provided limited breakfast, need to go out for lunch and dinner which is not far. Internet not good in room, need to sit on patio.
