Just for one night ,close your eyes and sleep !! ”
Location, Nothing
The only good about this Hotel was it's location, and the person in the reception. No hot water .

Hot and unclean rooms, great staff”
the staff, the price and the location relative to the rock cave temples.
The first room we were assigned was hot and the fan didn't work. We switched to another room which had an A/C-unit that only worked on fan setting and hardly made a difference (A/C wasn't promised ahead so the working fan was enough). We hardly slept due to the heat and the sheets were rather unclean. The staff was kind and as helpful as they could be. It says free internet but it turns out its only for 2 hours. I am not sure what else you will find in Dambullah for such a low price, but if your budget allows I would recommend upgrading to a three star or similar. One of us fell over a rock and got a few bad scratches, upon which the manager and his friend drove us to the pharmacy and bought us what we needed to dress the cuts. He wouldn't accept our money, even if it was completely our own fault for falling. Recommendations if budget or the convenient location leads you to stay here: - Bring your own sheets - Ask for a room with 2 opposing windows (for air-flow) - Hang out with the manager in the evening, he's a really nice guy. - Try the omelette in the morning.

close to the temples”
It only takes 3 minutes to golden temple and rock temple. The management should improve the cleanliness of the room and enviroment.

Across from Dambulla ”
Convenience
Well I was there over Sri Lankan New Year and there was a torrential downpour the night I got there which blew out the power. All things considered, yes it's mediocre but it is across the street from Dambulla so the convenience factor makes up for it to a certain degree.

Disappointed”
Maybe that it was opposite the temple..
We stayed there for a night, but what a night! The room smells very bad from the humid walls and water is running over the roof from somewhere! On the ceiling of our room there were two holes from were a big black hairy spider came to visit. The owner said is not dangerous and took it outside but I couldnt sleep all night with the thought of a spider crowling up my leg! Wires from TV and AC were directly inserted to the wall socket without a plug required! breakfast was sri lankan, which offers a change, but the alternative wasnt possible as the owner doesnt speak or understand english well. they really wanted to be helpful and I felt bad, but work needs to be done at that place..!

no other choice in Polonaruwa”
great staff, lovely location, peaceful
This was the perfect place to stay in Polonnaruwa. The owners were so helpful and cooked some some fantastic meals. The location of the hostel was just out of the town so was town so was not noisy. We sat on the veranda and watched the fruit bats fly by in the evening sunset. We would highly recommend this hostel. Don't miss it!

Excellent location Good Value”
generous sri lankan breakfast, friendly staff and excellent location
Hotel under new management which works hard to please the customers. Good included breakfast served outside on a patio. Excellent location across the street from the temple (coming from Kandy ask the bus to let you off at the Temple/caves). The young manager speaks good English. Internet access with Dialog (they can sell you a card about 25 rupees per hour. Local bus or tuk tuk available for Sigiriya.
