Great Place To Relax With Incredible Food”
Green Valley Resort is a great place to base out of here in Tonsai Beach with the best restaurant in the area at the foot of the path leading to your bungalow. Coffee and his Brother Bee are extemly helpful and right on it. As author of the book Hiring The Best People I've been asked to speak at the biggest human resource conferences in the world on how to spot motivation and attitude. I give the staff at Green Valley Resort my very highest recommendation. You cannot do better for the money here in Tonsai Beach - which is the quiet, cheaper end of the beach north of Railay Beach.

Set your expectations”
Green Valley Resort is a fine place to stay as long as you set your expectations accordingly. Ton Sai itself is a fabulous little laid back beach community. If you want to stay in a true resort, stay on Railay West. If you want to enjoy the hippy atmosphere and only need a place to rest your head at night, then Green Valley will be just fine. The rooms are very basic, there are small gaps in the walls and ceiling so you will likely have some lizards as roommates as well as ants, and the electricity only works at night. No wifi in the rooms, but most of the restaurants offer free wifi. Overall I felt the place was just fine for what I needed.

Nice clean room with no mosquitoes!”
We had a lovely stay. The stay is very friendly. The rooms are far enough away from any bar so you don't hear music all night. They are clean and completely sealed off. A lot of the rooms on TonSai are open air bungalows, which have a ton of mosquitoes. I am def going to stay here again next time.

Beautiful place to sleep and a great restaurant!”
i got a great price on my cottage & was very happy with the cleanliness and the natural energy. the restaurant has great food and a beautiful breakfast buffet (that even had a couple vegan friendly dishes!). i was a bit surprised about having to climb some rocks to get from railay to tonsai during high tide, but it was no big deal (especially since i did not have my big bag with me...but if i did, a longboat transfer around the rock would have been possible). staff was very friendly, i plan to visit again in the future!

Great Location on Tonsai Beach”
If you choose to stay on Tonsai Beach then Green Valley is a good choice in terms of room rates and proximity to the beach. Rooms are good size bungalows. There are ants though so keep all your bags zipped and don't leave any food around. There are basic ceiling fans in the rooms.

Great bungalows behind Ton Sai beach”
the resort is 5-10min from the beach, up the hill, bit further than shown on the map. The bungalows are quite simple, but nice and clean. We had a fan and only cold water, but it was ok. There is only electricity in the night. There is a terrace for every bungalow. Our bungalow was in the back of the resort, under trees, so we had a few mosquitos. In the front bungalows you can hear the constant sound of the generator, which is running the whole night. In the back of the resort, it is quiet, but in the trees monkeys were eating some fruits and kept droping some seeds on the metal roof of the bungalow making a loud knocking sound during the night. Which wakes you up a few times in the night :) But we liked the resort and also the breakfast buffet. We only booked one night online, the rest we settled at the hotel, which was slightly cheaper.

Not the most cheap bungalows in Tonsai, but they are quite new and in good condition. The personal is quind and helpful. We did not try the restaurant (we wanted something cheaper to save money) but lots of people went there every night, so... Good option in the middle range price bungalows.

tonsai is great for climbers and reggae-addicts ”
nice little resort at 5 minutes walking from the beach. minimarket, restaurant, bar, massage: everything available! only missing thing (but a major hazard): mosquito net! in the wooden cottages, bugs and other unwanted visitors get inside the room and without a mosquito net get into the bed... people like me, afraid of spiders and co. better opt for a normal bungalow, or bring their own mosquito net :-) bring a flashlight when you go to tonsai, the dirt roads are all dark at night.

fantastic beach with extraordinary friendly staff”
the best place for your island getaway plan.the staff are very friendly and they can take care of almost everything.the beach is breathtaking its nothing like i have seen before.when i was there,there's a live band party and it was amazing.it is about 20 min boat ride from the phi phi pier which is fine by me.really a great place for total relaxation.also great place to meet other travellers since its a small crowd there.you can get away from all the noisy hyped crowd in the main pier.everything is more relaxed here even the cats.and they are also very friendly(the cats).

Clean & quiet rooms”
considering i paid double what everybody else staying at this place paid, i deserved all of the perks. most places don't provide you with soap and shampoo as well as a free breakfast every morning, so that was nice. there were a few cracks in the floor and walls so a couple of bugs got inside but it was so minimal compared to other resorts. electricity only from 5 or 6 at night until 5 or 6 in the morning, and water wasn't available sometimes to shower. other than this the staff were helpful and accommodating.

Awful Scum bucket”
I have traveled in several third world countries and stayed in some pretty basic accommodations (we're talking the place in Nepal)and I'm pretty tolerant of meager accommodations. At Green Valley, I walked in and immediately noticed the pillow was completely brown and nasty in the middle. Then we lifted the sheet to see the mattress and we went and found another place to stay. If it was this rate a night and I had my own pillowcase and bed sheet, MAYBE, but it was >10x that price. Not worth it. The bathroom and the rest of the room was sufficient and probably comparable to others in its class, but the beds are disgusting.

Booked a wood hut $15pn.. I simply asked (with a big smile ) if I could have a Concret hut..much cooler.. they were more then happy to upgrade .. very cool people and happy.. sure the room was bit dirty.. so I spent 10 mins to clean it.. no big deal ;) be aware power is only on from 6pm to 6am. Easy stroll to beach (maby 300m).. eat at the beach front restaront.. good food.. try No:28.. a real "hippy" place .. if you catch my drift ;)-~ and everything is cheep.

I had an excellent time. The staff was great! Very attentive, kind, and helpful. Went out if their way to make my stay great and to help me with transportation arrangements afterwards. Perfect for climbers. The food is great and well prepared / cleaned. The beds left something to be desired though.

A nice stay close to a jungle”
We had a lovely stay at this place. Not overcrowded and peacefull. Waking up in the mornings with a lovely specticle monkeys watching you from a trees. They are not nasty at all and keep there distance. Very good location to explore the neighbouring area. Food is very nice in the restaurant.

We had a good stay without any problems. The people were really lovely and the service was perfect. I totally recommend this place. The only but was that the breakfast was a little slow. 5 minutes walk from tonsai beach. if you are a backpackers stay in tonsai.

Cheap deal for travellers”
It was an ok stay. Since I am only sleeping at night (all-day climbing), I could not complain because I could stay for more weeks because the room is cheap. If you are looking for comfort, probably not a place for you. But it was a great 7-day stay!
