What a wonderful spot, calm, serene, cosy with good food, friendly people and cute dog called Sushi. Go for a swim or kayak around the islands and explore nature at its best. If you live in Vientiane, it is a 3-3,5 hours drive, take route 10 and enjoy village life on the way.

The resort is simple and peaceful. The nature here is the main protagonist. The bungalow and the pool were amazing, we could stay all the evening there watching the sunset. All the staff was nice and friendly, and the chefs cooked delicious simple food!! Hope to come back soon.

Great accommodation in Vang Vieng”
I really love this place, there is a spectacular view more than expectation. Owner and staff are so kind with excellent service. I believed that everyone could take a rest with natural atmosphere especially honeymoon trip and enjoy with swimming pool and kayaking as well. Bare in mind, here is away from Vang Vieng downtown about 30 km. that take time 40 min by motocycle. If the transportation is not your limitation this place maybe one of the best in Vang Vieng.

Excellent place to get away from the city and relax, especially with young kids as you are literally on the waters edge. Staff were great and facilities clean and well maintained. Make sure you bring your own snacks and enough cash with you as there is no ATM in the nearby town.

Exceptional”
Stunning views and apart from the occasional motor boats used by local fishermen, extremely peaceful. Excellent value for money and really nice and helpful staff. In the cooler months, a nice log fire to sit around after dinner. With the recent opening of the Vientiane-Vang Vieng Highway, journey time down to 1.5 hours or so. from Vientiane. This makes the Green View the perfect weekend escape.

Summer Glamp”
Glamping is a word that describes "glamorous camping." If so, then Green View was like Summer Glamp. Stay in a clean, well appointed cabin. Go kayaking, play pingpong or badminton, go swimming, or for a moonlit stroll, conduct a "panty raid" on the girl's cabins... okay everything but that last part. This felt like an American style Summer Camp or "Glamp" as it was nicer by several orders of magnitude. At night as we sat out on the porch, ponies grazing in the distance, Sushi the Dog sitting by our side, it was hard not to feel at peace with the world even at as the throb of a "lake lawnmower," as we dubbed the skinny fishing boats, passed by. The view is spectacular. The hosts couldn't have been more cordial or accomodating. But like Summer Camp, there are a few concessions. For instance, the resort is well away from anything. We couldn't be bothered to travel to the main road much less to Vang Vieng, which is 40 minutes away (fine by us). This meant we ate every meal at the restaurant. After 3 days, like Summer Camp, the menu felt a bit limited, though what we had was good. We did suspect that the cook might be employing MSG but never asked. Maybe it was just all the fresh air that made the french fries taste so good? We had only a few critiques. First, the cabins werent cleaned daily which, (1) who cares, but on the other hand (2) if you have to bin your toilet paper (no flushing used tp) and you have a baby making diapers, at least the bathroom trash needs to be emptied each day. Meh. I did it myself. Second, not enough towels for showering and swimming. Towels had to do double duty and replacements weren't easily had. =) Now if that's the worst of our complaints, you can see how rough we had it. =) What I mean to say is this. Green View isnt a posh place. All the better for it. We felt happy and comfortable and at home. The bungalows were clean, fresh and brand-spanking new. Most peaceful place for R&R”
Bungalow is spacious and clean. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Free Kayaking anytime! Food is delicious. It has a relatively small swimming pool but is not crowded as it only caters to 6 rooms. Most od the time, you have it to yourself. The place has high demand, so book early online to secure the place. The kitchen staff work by schedule so if you like to munch and drink specific favorite take them with you though they have some drinks and chips available for the guests anytime (frige is 24h open, just list them). Location is 500m off road, if you re looking for an isolated not crowded paradise, Green View Resort in Ban Tha Heaua is the place for you. The resort offers free tuktok from the road side to the resort. It offers boat trip by Perfect Journey with fishing, swimming and meals (appetizers and drink on board and grilled fish on the island in the middle of the lake.) Recommended for anyone who'd enjoy a quiet not crowded place. We love it here, it's our 2nd time!

Great place off the beaten track”
Our group of 9 aged 7 to 77 had a fantastic time enjoying the gorgeous pool, kayaking, private boat trip to monkey island, the amazing view and lovely food. We spent one day in vang vieng which was 40 mins by tuk tuk but that was enough for us and we were keen to get back to green view Resort to relax. Bungalows are thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. Be prepared for the occasional fishing boat zooming past your window early in the morning but a small price to pay for the stunning location.

Ideal hideaway”
We had very peaceful moments here, breathtaking river view, evergreen garden, and three very friendly American Bully dogs. Kayak for free, swimming pool small but nice, changed water everyday. Western food excellent, Laos food a bit salty. Food price is affordable. Above all, the bosses and their friend here very nice and always ready to help. Just a note that it is ~ 20km far from Vang Vieng. If you travel from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, check with your driver to drop you @Green View first, or else you will need to loop back. Gonna miss the place!

A perfect place for those looking for a peaceful break”
We were surprised to see how far Green view Resort is from Vang Vieng city center (45 min via tuktuk), but in the end, we were very pleased! The place is so calm and lovely. The view from the bungalow is amazing and the staff is as helpful and friendly as one may wish. It was a couple of very very special days for us there and we can only recommend it. It really is a unique place and we are so glad we came to visit. We hope to come back soon.

The green view is like a fairy tale. so calm and peaceful. everything is natural. with many fireflies, birds and even ants and water snake make it unimaginable. There's no lights through the routh, Which makes Greend view much more charming. But you may need flash. Cause It's located far from the main Vang Vieng, I recommend you to stay Greenview not going anywhere. It's definitly more worthwhile than going out to Vang Vieng. Just relex and kayak. The staffs were also very nice and food was great! even guests were great too. I wish I would go there someday again.

Oasis of peace”
Great little resort next to the lake. The pool is super clean and the views are beautiful. If you come from Vientianne let the bus driver know that you have to get out there otherwise they drive you to Vang Vieng which is 30 minutes further. Beautiful, incredible, idyllic!”
We spend a night here while in Vang Vieng, and cannot recommend it enough. Our only mistake was not staying longer. The owners are friendly, and are ready to help in any way they can. The resort a the perfect getaway from the touristy centre of Vang Vieng. The food was also wonderful - we had delicious local Laotian food for dinner, and a free breakfast in the morning. We would 100% recommend this place, and if we return to Laos, will certainly stay there again!

The entire resort is very well thought out. Private bungalows not too close together, beautiful pool, restaurant and bar facilities great and not expensive. Of course you are situated right on the lake with outstanding views at your doorstep. Many activities to do and only 30 minutes from Vang Vieng if you must visit. My favourite stay in Laos ”
Wow! is the word I would used to describe this place. The view of the lake is stunning and can be seen easily from our chalet, restaurant and swimming pool. Kayaking is free to use for us to explore the lake and the tiny islands. There's only 5 chalets here so there weren't many people here. We easily became friends as we ate together in the restaurant, drinking BeerLao. Staff were super friendly. We love it that it's so peaceful and quiet... a nice break from the noisy busy city. The chalet was spacious, clean with a great view. Who needs TV when the view is so stunning! The food here was nice with a reasonable price. The 3 dogs were super cute and friendly! We regret that we only stayed here for 2 nights which wasn't enough at all. We are definitely coming back to Green View Resort in near future!
