Hidden gem, close to the hidden beach”
Fantastic stay, in peaceful surroundings, yet 7 minutes walk to the Hidden Beach. 20 minutes walk to the daily night market. Many, many food places within easy reach. The host even took us out to a lovely fish restaurant. I hired a scooter from just up the road for 20 ringgit. Free breakfast is a bonus too.

Ok and not ok”
Visited right after pkp. So cant expect much. Pool water is dirty. Sleeping environment was ok. For me i was ok . But for other family member they r not ok. So its all about ur expectation

It’s budget place with a pool, but the whole site just needs some maintenance. It could be an awesome place with so much potential. We changed room twice, another guy ended up changing once, another family 3 times! Various reasons - no water, no electricity, being filthy etc. On the positive brekkie was good value, the Sri Lankan gardener very friendly and hard working and the manager (possibly ex now, we believe he was just sacked) was very helpful. The boys that clean the rooms were so so lazy. Until some work is done around the place I wouldn’t stay again.

Needs an overhaul ! ”
Arrived to be offered a room on the rear which was smelly and tiny . We asked for a better room to be given one overlooking the pool , bigger and not smelly but no tv no hairdryer fridge or control for air conditioning, so it was either on full blast or off . Power issues several times , the whole place is tatty and dirty, bed and pillows were rock hard and the bathroom door did not shut ! . Breakfast was awful . At night it was extremely noisy , the other guests had no consideration for those of us who wanted to sleep , there should be a cut off time for loud chatter and music, due to thin walls and gaps in the door. The only up side were that the location was good and the staff nice. Definitely wouldn’t stay again.

Poor Maintenance and Poor Service”
When we arrived to the resort, no one in the reception. There were some guests or staffs (we don't know as they are not wearing uniform) playing pool in front of the counter, we waited until we asked how long we need to wait for check in. Then, there was a young man approached us and proceed our check in. There was no any briefing and don't even inform us what time our breakfast and where we should have our breakfast. No assistance at all for carry our luggage as we had to walked by certain distance to reach our room and there is the sand ground. Really terrible hospitality service. The room and the hotel really poor maintenance eventually. There were a lot of lizard poo on the floor and cobwebs on the wall and ceiling. Cracking marble floor which hurt our feet. The most disgust is when we opened the water at the basin, the water was yellowish and same goes to toilet bowl as well. It was like such a long long period didn't stay by guests. We will never come back!!

Run down property with dangerous electrics ”
Very run down. The electrics were dangerous. Swimming pool had a suction head that filtered water and if you went close to it it hurt. For a child putting fingers in it would be nasty. Tried to cancel due to these problems but they would not allow this. Grim indeed. I would not recommended at all

This should be renamed "Last Resort"”
First of all let me say, the host lady was pretty friendly and seemed willing to help with *cough* numerous issues, and she allowed us late checkout. But... The resort (which is a very loose definition of the word "resort", it's a guesthouse) itself is awful. The photos have been taken in 2010, the place has long since fallen apart. The rest of the staff look like they're drunk or high all the time. We had to wait an hour to check in, after arriving at 4PM. They told us people "just checked out" which is why we had to wait but 90% of the rooms were empty. Once we did, we figured out the shower was broken, so they moved us from a 2x2 room to a chalet which hasn't been opened or cleaned for months. The shower there worked, but only in the most surface meaning of the word. There was also no AC remote, we had to find the high staff and ask for it. We also asked for toilet paper and got it the next morning. Very helpful. The toilet was leaking 24/7, we had to turn off the water for the night. After the air refresher faded out the toilet smell took over the chalet entirely. Lots of mosquitoes and lizards in the room. The pool looks pretty in photos but in real life it looks like it contains every disease known to man. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been cleaned since 2010. The breakfast was decent albeit slightly overcooked.

The area around the chalet is dirty Dirty pool Receptionist is out of place The air conditioning did not work well The water heater does not work The toilet pump is not working properly Dogs roaming around and lots of cans of liquor.. I booked because there is a swimming pool and the price is reasonable.. Thank You

Great place to stay, value for money”
Green Village Resort is a relatively new and less-advertised resort in Langkawi. It is about 7 kms from the Langkawi airport on Pantai Tengah, a short distance from Pantai Cenang. The beach is only 500 m away and the Underwater World about a kilometer. It is nicely tucked in a quite lane but not too far from the busy Pantai Cenang. The rooms are clean as shown on their website and are reasonably priced. Green village - true to its name - gives a very rustic feel. The resort staff, manager and owner were all very helpful. They suggested places to visit and good car rentals. Breakfast is included with tea/coffee being available all day long. The resort has a swimming pool and a library with books and novels in different languages. The resort also has a restaurant-cum-bar. There are quite a few birds around and the resort staff feed them first thing in the morning. They also offer guests umbrellas for use as they roam around Langkawi which is very helpful as it rains a lot.

Good Value, and location”
Green Village was a good choice. We wanted a cheap place to stay close to Pantai cenangh and a central location for day trips (kuah,cable car). Its only a 10min walk to underwater world and duty free shops. Really nice location with trees and good pool. Breakfast was fun, and staff all friendly. The room was what you expect for a budget hotel, although the bed was very comfortable and new air con kept us cool. If you dont like frogs maybe dont stay here... and maybe dont go to Langkawi because theres alot them.

Calm & quiet !”
Ours was a group trip with all friends. We began our Malaysia trip with Langkawi as the first stay. Langkawi is a beautiful island. Calm & colourful. Nice people, Good roads, Beautiful views surroundings the island. It was a relaxing experience at Green Village. It is situated near (not on) the Pantai Tengah beach(15 mins walk). The resort has a pool in the centre, surrounded by the lawn & several cottages. It has a poolside bar which is open in the evenings. Village like decor. Lots of trees. It's a relaxing, soothing experience. Breakfast was limited to eggs, bacon, beans & juice but we weren't expecting much.

Just Lovely”
Green Village is in a fantastic location, about a 10 min walk from Pantai Cebang so its away from all the craziness. The staff were so nice and the room was very clean. We found green village very relaxing allthough there is a rooster who crows every morning so don't expect a sleep in! The pool was the best bit and the beaches close by are a lot quieter than main st Pantai cebang. Highly recommended!

Relaxed vibe Malaysian hotel”
I stayed at Green Village for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are more like little huts that are centred around the beautiful pool. First impressions were that the room is a little tired around the edges, there was paint peeling, and the entire bathroom (except the fittings obviously) was made from poured concrete which I had not seen before. Also, a frog came up the drain pipe one evening after a monsoon downpour which scared the life out of me. The room was clean though and had both air con and a ceiling fan in room. I didn't want to stay in a generic western style hotel and the authentic Malaysian and Thai art work and furniture in the lobby and around the pool make it quite pleasant. The staff were very nice and quite helpful and the breakfast buffet had both Asian and western choices.

Surprisingly lovely”
After reading reviews was worried about green village but was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely rooms edged around gardens and pool. Air con fridge tea and coffee facilities. Ok TVs didn't work but you don't go to langkawi to watch tv! Lots of eateries around. Wished could stay bit longer!

Nice tranquil, pleasant hotel.”
excellent stay, the staff were always helpful, smiling and made you feel welcome, very friendly. all the food in the hotel was very good. the location was quiet, with a little walk to find other bars and restaurants. a short also gets you to both beaches in he resort. if you're looking for a more quiet beach, then pantai tengah is the one, for watersports and little lively head for pantai cenang.
