Worth it for the price!”

Motel was located 5 mins away from the hanmer springs thermal pool. Just beside the hike. Very easily accessible and got the biggest motel. Came with a fully stocked kitchen for family of 6 adults to cook dinner etc. Came with 1 shower and separate toilet cubicle. Rooms were all very spacious and very comfortable. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Heater in the hallway and living room saved our lives. Electric blanket were comfortable as well. We love it very much and will stay here if coming back!

Lovely Cottages”

We very much enjoyed our stay at Greenacres. It was in walking distance to the Hot Pools and to all food and drink places in town, so location was great. The cabin was spacious, very clean, and well stocked with kitchen equipment which made catering for ourselves easy as well. The management were polite and helpful. Extra touches such as providing pool towels for a low cost was also appreciated. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent”

We always love staying at Greeacres, but prefer to book through them/ or at least not the internet if poss. as we ended up getting there and finding that for 3 adults, we had unwittingly booked to whole 2 bedroomed villas, and of course too late to cancel one so paid for 2 villas for 3 people. The email that we had did not at all show we had booked two villas, but the one sent to Greenacres did.

Let down at the final hour! ”

I had booked this hotel well in advance, and on the day of arrival was told there was a "plumbing issue" that would apparently take more than two days to fix and the room I had booked was conveniently one of two effected. The manager managed to rebook us last minute at the only other hotel in Hanmer, but it was a downgrade on main road, noisy, and not the "mountain chalet" experience I had paid for. What's more, it was a tiny studio unit vs. a one bedroom chalet with a complete living area and kitchen! Given Agoda nor the owner can see the imposition caused for a holiday that was very different from that planned, I can only express my disappointment in the whole arrangement and share a word of warning to any others who may book this hotel. I suspect if a better deal comes along for the owner, he will have more "plumbing problems" in the future.

Great potential”

The chalets are set on the hillside and the grounds are pretty. The chalets are spacious with separate bedrooms. Some of the chalets appear to be new or refurbished and I'm sure they are lovely. The chalet I was in was rather tired - the carpet was badly stained, the furniture grubby and the heating limited. So, I think satisfaction with the motel is likely to depend on the allocation of your room.

Not many hotels/motels in Hamner that allow dogs. Only issue is this place is not fenced off, otherwise the rooms were clean and staff were pretty nice. They do not speak much English though..

Great value”

Loved staying here, the location is great, close to the hot pools and walk up conical hill. Staff are wonderful, let me check in early and rooms are spacious with everything you need. Would definitely book again.

Home away from home ”

I've been staying at Green Acres for over 15 years, and it still brings me consistently fond memories of a home away from home. Opting for the large two bedroom cabin, I shared time with my mum where we werexpect able to prepare our own meals, and enjoy the comfort of a large lounge space. The beds were comfy, staff friendly and perfectly located for a hike up conical Hill. Very satisfied!

Clean & Tidy”

My husband & I stayed here with our 3 year old son for a night recently & thought it was good value for money. The chalet was spacious enough & had a nice view from the lounge/kitchen area. Bathroom was modern with good shower pressure. First placed I’ve stayed where little milk & soap bar was not supplied but no biggy. Would definitely stay here again, unit was very clean & tidy. Stay at greenacres”

Enjoyable.The bed was comfortable and bed linen was clean. While the price was reasonable down the road on the other side of the town they were offering rooms for $100 per night and from the outside they looked very up market. The shower room was a little disgusting with paintwork needed around the window and the vinyl on the floor is starting to lift round the edges and paintwork needed on the skirting board. The bathroom light did not work. There could be an improvement on the whole bathroom/toilet/shower area as it is very poky. Some of the towels were starting to fray on the edges. (I noticed it on the hand towel)The carport should have been swept free of leaves etc. Not a good first impression when the entrance is tatty looking. The grounds are not well kept and the outside of the chalets are in need of paint.

Basic tidy place to stay”

It was tidy and clean aside from mould around the windows which was a bit gross. The room was not serviced over our 2 night stay there. But overall it did the trick.

It suited us”

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and mountain views. Staff were courteous, prompt and helpful when we had a couple of problems as well as offering us extra time if needed before we left.

Excellent location with great views and accommodation provided everything we needed to be self-contained with a young child. Staff were friendly and very helpful!
