small rooms but cheap”
Small rooms ,small Bathrooms.
The location very near Russell Square is easy to find from the tube station, and you can walk to many London attractions. The rooms are very small with tiny bathrooms and tiny showers.the breakfast was sparse at best with cereals, yogurt and toast. The staff was helpful with info and maps.

Not as bad as some reviews have made out”
Reasonably central - nothing more you can say than that. Ok for a very short stay, but I wouldn't advice it for more than that.
Scruffy decor, but all in all I knew I'd booked somewhere comparitively cheap - and that's just what I got.
It was better than I expected having read several of the other reviews about this hotel. The decor is jaded and a touch scruffy and it wasn't cheap but then this is London and anywhere remotely near the centre is expensive. The hotel is about ten minutes walk from Russell Square and 25-35 mins from Covent Garden/Soho. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but for a night or two it was ok. I didn't eat breakfast so can't comment. The bulb had gone in the bedside lamp in my room, I left a note - which was studiously ignored, in fact, it was left exactly where I'd put it! But I didn't expect any better. The sheets were clean as was the bathroom, but it must be said... it wins the prize for the Smallest Bathroom in the World - think the size of a double wardrobe but 33% deeper and you'll have the idea - when you sit on the toilet you have one foot in the shower tray and your elbow in the sink! The best you can do is just laugh about it.
