0 Stars Deserved - DO NOT BOOK.
I refuse to give any stars to this chalet, except for its location - because it really does not deserve one. Not even one star. Okay let's dissect this systemically : Staff - Upon entry to the grounds of this chalet at 11:45pm, the 'receptionist' was sleeping on what looks like a couch with the television turned on to an Astro Celestial channel. He was in a very deep sleep, and after several failed attempts to gently wake him up, we eventually had to resort to shouting and thank the heavens - that finally woke him up. He does not look amused, or even bothered to the slightest. Stood up, gave us our key and showed us the quadruple room. No greetings, facial expression does not look welcoming either. He was very poorly attired too, and was the only staff around in the entire chalet. But that's fine. His behaviour will be further narrated in the 'Cleanliness' section of my review. Cleanliness - Once the door was opened revealing our quadruple room, we could immediately notice a gigantic cockroach on one of the pillows. How big? You must be wondering. The length of an average adult middle finger, with the diameter of a typical Lincoln sausage. Not joking, not exaggerating either. We told the 'receptionist' beside us. He looked more disturbed than us, and walked away mumbling some words angrily. Not sure if that was directed to us or towards their NON-EXISTENT cleaning crew. He then came back with an aerosol spray and REFUSE to enter our room, handing the spray to me - thus implying this is our problem to solve. Besides the cockroach, here are some further red flags. There are ants crawling around on the floor of the shower. There are insect droppings on the mattress linen. The floor carpet has huge holes on it and is dusty. Facilities - No toilet paper was given. No heater for the shower. No kettle for hot water. BASIC boarding facilities are absent. Value for money - I paid 87 ringgit a night for what I expect to be a budget chalet, with basic facilities. I do n

The chalet is in need of a lot of improvement
Cheap
The room was horrible. The bed sheet seems like it has never been changed (full of hair, stains). Towels are not changed. Luckily I was there for few hours.

Improve the Room conditions..
1-Location Near Jetty
It was ok.. But very untidiness makes this hotel as a last option.Frog,Spiders inside the washroom.Lizards in the rooms.Aircon & fan combination makes room noisy..so Instead of sleeping whole night was listening background music. Only location wise this makes comfortable option with affordable price..else need to improve..

It served its purpose
Proximity to beach, value, all fine
The GRimbun Chalet was better than expected and provides comparable value in the area. Self check in was interesting but all good.
