The Griya Santrian a Beach Resort is 20km from the Ngurah International Airport and 10km from the city center. Within walking distance are many restaurants and shops along Sanur’s main street. With the 3-star hotel’s location right on Sanur Beach, guests can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and the view of the offshore islands. Loved our stay - will definitely be back”
The rooms are spacious and clean with great air conditioning. The pools are wonderful - 3 to choose from and each offers a unique charm. Even when at full occupancy, the resort doesn't feel crowded which can often happen and is probably one of the main reasons why we will be coming back. It is so nice to be beach front as the sand is nice in Sanur and you can actually swim in the ocean. I would recommend the Griya Santrian to friends or anyone who is considering staying in Sanur.

We have had a wonderful stay (our second one). The staff is amazing, even arranged for us to visit the owners' family compound to observe the Balinese Hindu offering-making process. So calm, laid, back, great breakfast-lunch buffet, and on the beach!

Lovely friendly staff but dated rooms ”
We were actually due to stay in the garden wing room. We were kindly upgraded to the beach view room on arrival however we we did not the feel the room was to a good standard. We informed the staff and we were upgraded to the deluxe room. The room was much more comfortable but there was an awful smell from the bathroom and the bathroom was dated. We cannot fault the staff who were wonderful. The resort has great facilities -3 pools, small fitness machines and an area on the beach to lie on. The location is great. Our only criticism was the dated rooms.

Rooms clean , good pool centre of Sanur so easy to get to restaurants Cafes and shops. Didnt bother with the expensive breakfast as Cafes on the beach do great deals for Breakfast at a quarter of the price.

Great location. Clean rooms. Staff lovely. Breakfast is pretty much the same every day but if you like eggs, toast, pastries etc it’s all there. They need toilets near the rear pools as there is none and the push bikes they supply are old and rusty. The seats fall down and turn and have no springs. Gears don’t work. It was a real pity because Sanur is perfect for pushbikes.

The location is great and the hotel is gorgeous. I would not necessarily recommend this place for a solo traveler, unless you aren’t hoping to strike up conversations. Most of the other guests seemed to want to keep to themselves

A lot of renovations going on. Room had a disgustly dirty towel in the bathroom which I reported and was graciously apoligised for. Great location, excellent staff, lovely pools. Would highly recommend any length of stay.

Great position in Sanur”
I was given upgrade to ocean view room but due renovations at next door temple, staff loudly talking around pool at 5.30am and constant baliense music playing found it too noisy. Sun beds need cleaning and deck boards loose everywhere. The room was clean but without any character and bathroom needed attention . Front desk staff friendly but dining staff soso. Overall would not rave about it for $$ $'s paid.

Amazing resort, beautiful beach ”
I loved this resort! We came here for our honeymoon. The resort itself is beautiful and situated in a good location. There are tons of massage parlors and restaurants nearby. The beach front is amazing - very clean and we never had trouble finding lounging chairs even when we went late. The waters are shallow and calm, but very clear and beautiful. There are also 2 smaller pools and one bigger pool. The food at the resort was decent. A great place to just relax and get some sunshine.

This is our second trip and we were upgraded to a suite, it was absolutely beautiful, we went bike riding every day after a beautiful breakfast.I found all the staff were lovely and friendly, we will definitely be going back this year.

Nice property showing its age, not 5 stars”
Came with friends. Older property showing its age. Check in felt like boot camp with lecture on where we could use what towels and given cards to get our pool towels and breakfasts. Then we were given one key on a huge key chain for each room. A request for a key for each person was refused and we were told we could leave the keys at the desk. At that point i wanted to leave. We were shown to our room in the far corner of the property and it was a dark dirty hole. One of our friends came by and commented their room was much better. We went and saw it and then went to the front desk and asked to see the manager. Of course he was not available. After a wait was eventually shown to another room which at least was clean. Other friends said they had been taken to a nice room but it had only one bed so they had to change rooms. Sent the heavy guns in at that point. The wife went to the front desk and got that room. Facilities were nice and breakfast okay. Staff was friend Wouldn't return.

Beach units are a bit tired. But still lovely. Shower over bath not always good for everyone but we know that many of the units have been updated and we would stay in one of those next time. Loved the resort.

Tired Room not 4 stars”
I have visited Griya 3 times and this was a disappointment. We stayed in room 202 in the beach wing. The bathroom had a shower over a bath and the shower head was blogged up so sprayed everywhere. The toilet lid was loose, the sink did not drain away properly. The main bedroom had an old wooden bed and the curtains did not close properly as one of them had been ripped. We told reception about our problems and they said the rooms were due for an upgrade. This is no good for us as we are staying there now. Also since our last visit there is now a total smoking ban around the pool area, pool bar area, and on the sun loungers on the beach. If I had know this I would not have booked this hotel. Another problem we encountered was the Europeans using beach towels to reserve there sun beds. They would put a their towels down and disappear for hours. Very selfish people.

Picked Griya due to location and recent reviews and was not disappointed. Booked a garden room for 3 nights and upon arrival was upgraded to beach wing...front of hotel and 1st floor with view over pool and beach. Muchly appreciated. Pools are lovely..all 3 of them! Beachfront seating and deck chairs are sufficient with lovely view over the ocean. Service at the beach and bar was great. Great location right in the middle of Sanur central and surrounding shops etc. Must recommend the Italian restaurant out the back "The Village"....beautiful wood fired pizza and a lovely change to diet...... To sum up value for money and great location with well maintained resort with friendly staff.
Perfect place for relaxing, though the staffs in the pool bar and restaurant do not always pay attention to take orders when we were sitting at the beach side. Other than that, very nice relaxed holiday in the resort.

I must say this is the best hotel we stay during our trip in Bali. you won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at here. staffs are friendly and the room are nice and clean. only the downside is the wifi not stable in the room, but overall it's worth of the money:))
We loved staying here. From the time we arrived we were made welcome and comfortable. Superb location on the beach with easy access to restaurants and shops in the main st of Sanur. The beach pool is beautiful, we didn't get to use the other two. Would recommend this hotel.
