We had a great sleep and rest with GT hotel.”
Our 4 days and 3 nights stay with Bacolod is very memorable. After having a whole day activities we've got a good night sleep and rest at GT Hotel. Since we are into business internet connection is very important to us to get in touch with our clients, GT Hotel never fail to provided us so. Not only that, they even gave us discount for our visitors breakfast buffet. With the price it is really a best buy. We will surely stay again with GT Hotel when we visit Bacolod in the future.

Clean and new”
I like this hotel. The sheets and towels were clean and I think this is because the hotel is new. I hope they can maintain this so they'd be better than the other 3-star or even 4-star hotels in Bacolod. I always check the towels! I'm generally impressed. They have a bidet, which is not common in the Philippines. I'm always happily surprised when I see one. The maximum water temperature of the hot shower was not hot enough. It was the right temperature for me but I know there might be people who prefer a scalding hot shower. The lobby was nice and it was modern. I arrived at around 1:30pm but I was made to wait until close to 2pm before they could check me in - I understand this but this is not the usual practice of hotels in the Philippines, most would just accommodate you as soon as your room was available. I just noticed there was no visible security personnel in the middle of the night, but I hope there was one around. The walls were pretty thin. I can hear the tv on the next room, the banging of the doors in all the rooms in the hallway and the housekeeping people. There was complimentary water and coffee - something not very common in hotels in Bacolod. I didn't get to eat the breakfast because I woke up late. I would recommend this hotel. Cheaper, better and cleaner than most.

A very pleasant hotel to stay at”
My initial impression was very positive as I checked in and was taken to my room for a two week stay. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed, and importantly a fridge for 'snacks' to be stored safely. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the hotel staff, and their willingness was appreciated. Breakfast was included in my tariff, and each morning there was a different selection of foods and an option for a cooked egg addition - fried, omelette, scrambled.. The only downside was when following a large breakfast group of guests without the dishes being replenished by kitchen staff. Eventually they would wake up and cook more food, but the initiative seemed lacking to anticipate the need for more food before it ran out. Overall, it was this lack of attention to detail that prevented me from giving GT a top rating - it is the little things that can leave a big impression. I would stay here if I visit Bacolod again, and would hope that by then they would have improved their already high standard by the provision of toothpicks on the dining tables; some useful information or map of nearly banks, etc. for guests; and why oh why don't they supply decent toilet tissue instead of the cheap thin rubbish put in the bathroom? It's cheap to buy but twice the quantity is used in order to protect the person! Finally the internet. No LAN connection in the rooms is a negative. The wi-fi caused me problems as passwords didn't always last the 24 hours intended. Also the generally poor standard of internet services and connection speed in the Philippines is a problem - really Third World performance that makes a mockery of the 'More fun in the Philippines' slogan that visitors are seduced by. As of September 1, 2014 the tariff has been increased, according to a notice on the reception desk. This may affect the 'value for money' factor when reviewing this hotel from that date onward.

Great location”
I chose GT hotel because it was just one block away from the main location I was visiting in Bacolod, and it seemed to be pretty much in the middle of everything else important in Bacolod - like the SM mall, and the famed Lacson St (for foodies). I was a little disappointed at the cleanliness of the washroom. It's not a dump by any means, but it just did not seem to me to fit the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel and room, and certainly the price I paid for a night's stay. Nevertheless, the staff were great, the breakfast was amazing, and overall I was very happy to have stayed there.

Beyond Excellent Hospitality!”
We went to Bacolod to watch a concert, but it was cancelled beforehand. We decided to push thru since hotel and plane fare were not refundable. It was a disappointment but our stay in GT Hotel made it worthy! All staff are really friendly. They even helped us when we told then where we are going. Will definitely stay here again once I go back to Bacolod :)

Great little hotel, amazing value”
Was in Bacolod for a couple of days to attend a wedding. Booked this hotel because we didn't want to spend so much for such a short period of time. GT is great value. Rooms were the usual size, but great bed, really clean bathrooms, airconditioning that worked well. Staff accommodated our very early check-in and slightly late check-out at no additional cost. Room service was pretty good. Fast and affordable. Hotel itself isn't on Lacson St. (that's the main road), but it's a five minute tricycle ride away, so it doesn't really matter.

Great location and very helpful staff.”
Our stay at the GT Hotel was excellent. I will stay their again when I'm next in Bacolod. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice but be prepared to eat some local food and dishes. But isn't that part of experiencing a new culture? It is located close to a major supermarket (SM)andd their were plently of eating places nearby. Taxi's were easy to get and the jeepney's drove past on a regular basis.

Rare find among hotels in Bacolod”
I've stayed in many hotels in Bacolod over the years and GT Hotel stands out among the limited pick of deluxe hotels in the city. It is a relatively new hotel (perhaps 3 to 4 years) so the facilities and room are clean and well maintained. The lobby is bright and airy which connects to an ample sized cafe. The breakfast buffet has a good choice of items and provides good service. The reception staff are very professional and friendly. The room size, including the bathroom, is adequate, well lighted, with clean bed linens and well equipped. My only negative comment is the rather old and worn bathroom towels. Although they have been laundered clean, it does not help to see frayed towels at the edges. This is an investment that will go a long way in maintaining the reputation of the hotel. After I checked in, I complained about the aircon (too long to get cold) and the lack of hot water. The service staff promptly replaced the aircon and fixed the hot water and everything was OK when I returned after lunch. Special mention to Mon the front door concierge who ensured that all my needs for taxi, information and services in the city are promptly and professionally taken cared of. This hotel is indeed a rare find in the city and should be patronized by those who value good service and comfortable facilities.

Relaxing and high quality hotel ”
The first thing that impressed me was their pick-up guy. He arrived in full uniform, picked us up on time, without any complaints that my flight was delayed. He was showing us around while we were driving too, so we knew immediately where we wanted to go. The moment we got to the hotel, it was a breeze to check in. They honored and immediately knew who I was, knew where I should be in, understood that I came from a long flight, and immediately escorted me to my room. The room is spacious, with a gorgeous, beautiful bed and heavy, luscious curtains that helped me sleep even in the afternoon. I keep thinking that I lucked out on this hotel because it was so quiet and relaxing. The most I hear is in the mornings, around 9AM or so when they do business meetings and business presentations. It feels like a place I would do business in and do training sessions in, and that atmosphere of professionalism, coupled with the low-key but gorgeous decorations allowed me to enjoy this hotel and think it's just top-notch. There is a fridge, free coffee and tea, water, water heater, hair dryer, fluffy towels, gorgeous toiletries, channels I know my own cable has, and they have a feast in the mornings (if your breakfast is included). They have a covered walk way leading up to the parking lot, if you smoke. There were some nights that I just stayed in and watched TV because I loved the hotel more than being out and looking for a club. The place is just comfortable, relaxing, and almost heavenly. If you're stressed, tired from the busy city life, and want to experience Bacolod, I highly recommend this hotel. It's truly a home away from home.

Exceeded my expectations”
Enjoyed our stay at GT Hotel! The hotel staff serve as quick reminder that, indeed, Bacolod is the "City of Smiles." A true gem at the heart of Bacolod City. Will be staying here again in our future short stints in the city.

Great Location, Courteus Staff ”
We got this place because it was recommended by Chef JP Anglo (of Sarsa) on his website. It turned out to be very convenient as it was walking distance to Manokan Country and SM Bacolod. GRAB is available in Bacolod so it's so easy to go almost anywhere. The place is generally clean, beds were okay, the a/c unit was very cold. The problem during our visit was that the elevator was under repair and going up the 4th floor can be a bother, but consider it a workout of sorts given the amount of food you'd be eating in the city. Staff were very courteous, everyone greets you, very helpful. The breakfast buffet can be improved. :-)

A Very Pleasant Surprise! GT = Great Time”
We booked in to the GT for seven days so we could visit my girlfriend’s family. When I saw the prices I was somewhat surprised and set my expectations levels to “low”. When we checked in I had to check to make sure that we were in the right hotel. Everything is new and modern. The reception is large and airy and we were greeted with a genuine welcome, not the carefully rehearsed, locked on smile, greetings of the big chains. Check in was simple and straightforward and I was immediately impressed with the “can do” attitude of the staff. The rooms are perfectly adequate and clean and there is a shower room and toilet with a good wash basin. There is no bath but that was not on my wants list. There is a new flat screen TV and internet is free. Tea/Coffee making kit is provided free as is bottled water. There is also a fridge. One bit of advice would be if you want a sleep in on a morning you need to request a DND/Make up my room card as they do not come as standard. The breakfast, that is included in the price, is basic and may not be to western tastes but there is a very reasonably priced a la carte menu too that has something for everyone. We needed a car and driver for the day and an excellent set of options were produced and we ended up with a really nice guy called Eddie and a well serviced, clean car to take us to our destination. We’ll be using him again tomorrow. The biggest surprise came when, as a result of my poor planning, there was nowhere to go for New Year’s celebrations as all the usual suspects were closed. We went outside to see the street parties and the numerous fireworks that were banging away and were immediately invited to join in with the hotel staff’s street party. We gratefully accepted and had a memorable New Year’s celebration. These guys are genuinely hospitable and a joy to be with. Hospitality takes on a whole new meaning here and significantly larger hotel groups could learn a lot from the GT

Affordable hotel at a good location”
My room came with free breakfast, which was good Room was sizable, clean, and comfortable The staff was kind enough to give me a room facing an empty lot - away from the street which would have been a bit uncomfortable with the street noise and all Next time I go to Bacolod, I now have 2 solid options: Hotel at Calle Nueva (older property but cheaper by maybe 30%), and this.

Great Hotel and excellent staff”
Fantastic stay, firstly for 4 nights at beginning of February before returning after a week for a further 3 nights. Staff provide excellent service, location is great, not far from SM Mall, Jeeps and restaurants on Lacson Street, although there are great little seafood places nearby. Breakfast variety might not be for everyone but it's still good. Hot water for the 4th floor is a bit hit and miss. Will recommend to friends and definitely return next time in Bacolod.

Good internet connection, extremely friendly staff, close to the main square”
Very close to the main square/plaza, very helpful and friendly staff, internet connection very good (especially for Bacolod), quite good breakfast for a provincial hotel. Recommendable. Only room for improvement: The public WC could be much cleaner.

Average hotel, Breakfast buffet needs improvement”
Still getting mixed feelings about my stay. I'm not sure if my expectations were too high and they fell short or what. Here are some incidents: 1. Food during breakfast had only 2 main dishes, adobo chicken and fish fillet. No hotdogs, beacons etc on the menu. For extra person not included in the "free" buffet, you have to pay 250 pesos ($5-$6) with very limited choices. 2. I booked for two rooms with 1 large bed each. They gave me 1 room with a large bed and 1 room with a twin bed. They told me they emailed agoda about it but I never received any email from agoda. I don't know where the problem lies in this. 3. No hair dryer in the room. You have to request for one though it's free. Also no directory listing in the room, like what number to call for reception, outside calls etc. 4. Bathroom is small. Sink, toilet and shower are inches apart. On the positive side: 1. Wifi was working in the room. 2.Staff were friendly, nice and attentive. 3. Location close to SM bacolod. Just a short taxi ride away. Since I haven't stayed lately in other hotels in bacolod, I don't know how they fare in comparison. But I think GT mall is better because it is recently renovated. Price is affordable too.
