Best hotels & accommodations in San Francisco (CA)

This is the best hostel that I've ever lived! I don't know what to say but wow, wow, and wow! Scenery around this hostel is super amazing. It's about 40 to 50 minutes driving to downtown San Fransisco, and also the same time driving to San Jose. Strongly recommend this hostel to everyone who wants travel in San Fransisco!

My room was very comfortable, spacious and I had every comfort I could have asked for. My only disappointment was that room #5, the decor was old fashion and out of date for my taste. I noticed a few open doors to other rooms and they appeared to have more tasteful furnishings. I hope room 5 is scheduled for an update sometime soon. I plan to come again to visit a...

the petite auberge is in a good location in san francisco. it is only a short walk (a couple of blocks) from union square, and we also walked from the hotel to the peir for alcatraz (about 45 minutes, although it is quite hilly). the hotel shares management with the white swan hotel next door, and the lobby staff spend most of the time at the other hotel, leaving a si...

One of the best Bed and Breakfast you can ever stay at San Francisco!!! The rooms are great with a modern toilet! The breakfast is so wonderful that you would wake up for it! Thanks Chef Nick, my wife still can't stop mentioning your quich. :) And the bacon 🥓 owe I can't stop dreaming of it... Thanks Karl of your kindness and personal touch... The daily free coffee...

Traveler impressions of San Francisco (CA)
San Francisco is amazing destination for who like metropolitan city as well as nature, many different shopping area and attractions especially in Fisherman Wharf areas
Nice place to travel to for short sight seeing trips. Most of the nicer places to visit is outside of San Fran city.
Fun city, some cool things to check out. Get the CityPass if there for more than a few days, well worth the money- for $94 you get public transport for a week, Alcatraz, Exploratorium, California Academy of Science and the Aquarium.
This is a great city with lots to do. Here is a list of must do's when you are there -Alcatraz Island - Golden Gate Bridge Tour - Market Street shopping - PIers / Warf - SS Jerimiah OBrian - Cable Cars - China Town - Golden Gat Park Seagway Tour (AMAZING) Watch out for the homless people, keep moving don't stand still in the street.
I've been traveling to San Francisco for the last 50 years it never gets old, I will continue to enjoy all it has to offer.
Ask taxi driver to tour you around and to visit different property area (remember to visit Hillsborough for comparision!)
Taxi drivers are nice, though I heard that San Francisco has the most expansive taxi fare, even higher than New York City, so try to use other transportation as much as possible.
Stayed on Market St. near the Civic Center. Bad smell (due to urine) and dirty streets. Walk at your own risk.
Need to stay more than 3 day for discover the places in San Francisco. The people was nice and helpful.
I want to stay here with my family ! Great city with lots to do as a couple or a family. Close to nature, exciting city and friendly to new ideas
Premier city to visit - great opportunities for interesting cuisine, good nightlife, unique neighborhoods.
I love San Francisco! There's so much to do and see (Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Union Square, Fisherman's Warf, Alcatraz, Pershing Square, Chinatown, Palace of Fine Arts, etc.
The best places to visit are Japantown, Chinatown, Nob Hill, Financial District, AT&T Park. Make sure to see the jewel of the city, Queen Anne Hotel.
It's a beautiful city with a colourful history that can be seen while visiting the many attractions it has to offer.
Go to fisherman's market and have some clam chowder at stand. You do not necessarily have to get in restaurants.
Please go beyond 2 nights. 3-5 nights is the minimum for you to enjoy San Francisco. The must visit places are Alcatraz, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf (they said it's the 2nd most visited places after Disneyland), Golden Gate Bridge, and Union Square (for shopping paradise).
Downtown, near Aida hotel is so bloody filthy and dirty and the smell is terrible, there seem to be more, and more homeless hanging around that area, it's unbelievable.
Get out the city everything you need to see is outer sub areas witch are much nicer it's easy to just get in the car go for a drive out to find cheap parking everywhere.
The Chinatown within San Francisco is one of the oldest Chinese enclaves in the world. You can find eateries that offer surprisingly good quality cuisine at reasonable prices there.
Nice city, great public transport, major tourist attractions are accessible by public transport. Good idea to purchase city pass to have unlimited travel on public transport.
Loved the city. nice laidback feel with rolling streets. everything is convenient and close by to the city centre.
SF is good, especially all the Piers. City cleanliness is not what i expected though (being a city of a well developed nation).
San Francisco is a filthy city that is saturated with the homeless on nearly every street. Its buildings are decadent although some may find that appealing because it has "character.
San Francisco is a food paradise, you may want to visit Fisherman's wharf to eat seafood, its fresh and price is reasonable, but expect to queue before eating.
San Francisco is a diversified city, with fine weather and beautiful scenary. People are friendly. Public transport is convenient.
Nice place. Well worth a visit. Much more relaxed than New York. Has its problems,ie, its homeless population and we found a lot of the streets to be littered and run down.
Walking around is so easy in San Francisco. Get a bus pass and hop on and off at your leisure. Most beautiful city in the USA in my opinion.
SAN FRANCISCO IS RELATIVELY SMALL. BUT ITS QUITE A DISTINCT CITY, WITH ITS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE SEA AND ITS HISTORY.
Great places to see and lots to do. Make sure you hire bikes and ride from fisherman's wharf over the Golden Gate Bridge the get the ferry back great day
THE DIFFERENT HOMES IN THE LOCATION IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CITY. VICTORIAN, THE BEACH HOUSES, EVERYTHING WAS UNIQUE,
