We enjoyed our stay in the cosy ground floor room allocated to us. Being at a wedding, we felt like part of a big household including the wedding party. The best part of our stay included having a lovely bath after the festivities in the big, old tub and enjoying the delicious buffet breakfast with the wedding guests, including the bride and groom. The verandas and gar...

First night was a freak out night for my daughters as we have been staying in city in our whole life. This is my elder daughter dislikes insects and will screams at the sight of any insects. I must say she is not suitable for the farm stay. And the farm is full of insects at night. We caught a big centipede in one of the bathroom. But after 2nd night, she got used...

Apart from the usual 4-star facilities, this country lodge was charming and pleasant in her own ways. As a starter, the staff at reception was efficient and friendly. I did not manage to get his name but he was very helpful. The loft room was spacious, giving the feeling of an actual apartment. Everything about the room was great except that the complimentary coffee wa...

A simple budget hotel. For $59 bucks it was a bargain, especially in Sydney. If you are ok with sharing bathroom facilities (very clean) I'd highly recommend this place. It has charm and a sense of history. It's location was the best, close to the pier and ocean, as if it's tucked away in a secret secluded area. I took the ferry back and forth constantly between Circ...

we loved the claremont guest house. it is a little out of melbourne centre in the very nice neighbourhood of south yarra. connections back into the centre by train were frequent and fast and the hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the station. this is more of a hostel than a hotel, but given the expensive prices of hostels generally in australia we felt this one was ver...

The place is easy to find and because it's just beside MASH brewery, it's easy to get a drink and food for dinner. The staff is really helpful during the check-in and check-out as well. The facilities and decor can be a little bit dated for some, which is why I gave it a 3 star in terms of value for money. But it's still a great place for a short stay.

Correcting my booking after I had double booked after my daughter's flight bookings (for six people) took a long time, but I did receive a refund for all but one night in one room. I was grateful for the refund, but a few hundred dollars were wasted on the unused room. There seemed to be a continual problem with the printers in Reception which meant that no tickets we...

Exactly what we were after for a 1 night stop over in Kakadu. We didn't spend much time in the room, just a quick swim & off again to the Yellow Waters sunset cruise, then back for dinner & bed. It had everything we needed, comfy beds, kettle, toaster, plates & cutlery & fridge for breakfast as there is no b/fast offered at the restaurant. The dinner we had by the pool...

I'm so happy to stay at Montacute for 2 nights and it's the best backpacker hostel I've ever been to! Everything is very clean and tidy. People are nice and quiet at night. I had very good deep sleep. Also, the owners are very friendly and not just run their family business for money only. They take care of backpackers. For example, beds are very comfty and high qualit...

Having read many reviews we were concerned that The Outback Lodge was going to be filthy and not fit to stay in however, our room was extremely clean and tidy. We were however, disappointed not to be given the room we had actually booked (giving you the option to book specific rooms on Agoda would suggest that’s what you’ll actually get). We had the Queen Suite which w...

The 175 is a fabulous place to stay for a night or 2 weeks. It is right across the road from Westmead hospital, 5 minute walk to the station that will get you all around Sydney. A quick 5 minute bus ride or 15 minute walk to Parramatta. I had a Queen room for 1 night. The room was immaculate, the bathroom gleamed, the kettle was clean, the bed was really comfortable.,...

We had a beautiful stay at the Burees & would recommend it to anyone. The room was fresh & beachy with a good amount of space. It was walking distance to the markets & town centre but secluded enough to enjoy peace & quiet. Also a very big thank you to the lovely lady that greeted us & helped us with our booking.

World Heritage, a special part of Tassie. Pristine. The number of short and long walks in the area are amazing. The cabin accommodation was excellent. The meals were all very good given the circumstances the kitchen staff had to work under. There was not enough staff on in the restaurant and the 4 that were on when we were there for 2 days worked like Trojans tryi...

We had booked the Bruny Island Hotel/Motel, but apparently their computer software rejected our booking because we used an Amex card. Problem was nobody was aware of this and it was only lucky I had rung the previous day only to find out we did not have a booking. But Ash and the staff at the Bruny Island Hotel were brilliant and they put us onto Merlin who organised...

Beautiful serene setting, self contained 2bedroom cottage with everything you could wish for: Nespresso machine, plentiful Barossa Valley food supplies, fluffy towels, excellent free wifi, great beds, Netflix smart tv, log fire, air con, several outdoor seating/meal settings, row boat on lake. We did/used it all and our only complaint is that we should have stayed long...

If your wanting to get away and enjoy a rural property that is both peaceful and pretty. Then Margaret River Bed and Breakfast is the best place to stay. It offers a great breakfast to start your day, and a beautiful bed and bedroom with all you will need, like a television and the biggest spa you have ever seen. It is very private, situated just off Caves Road and of...

We revisited Caves House after 28 years and were charmed back then. But now it has undergone an enormous renovation which is sympathetic to its heritage listing. There are fewer rooms now and I think we had the best room (Room 1 - keep it a secret) - it had a lounge, bedroom with King Size bed and an amazing ensuite with a spa bath which overlooked the magnificent gard...

Nice, helpful staff and similar vibe to the place. It's at a more budget end of the hotel spectrum and the price reflects this. Even so, I'd say it's great value for money as the communal kitchen, laundry facilities, games room, pool, etc are all added bonuses. The rooms are well fitted out with a bathroom and small fridge. Beds are good and thought the rooms aren'...

Booked here for 2 nights. The location is great, walking distance to town centre, Coles Supermarket and many restaurants. Pauline, the host is very helpful and passionate about her work, she made every effort to ensure the guests need are taken care of. They also provide a free, secured parking within the compound. We booked a ground floor Queen room, it would be great...

I booked a Queen room with my wife and 2 year old staying for two nights and three days. Location is just 7 minute walk from the village centre. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. And free breakfast. Although it was shared toilets, it was always clean and the toilets in the first floor was spacious as well. Had no problems with hot shower and stay...

the retreat is a tricky one to locate on both gps and google map. it is actually located along koch road where you will see an old red lorry at the junction. drive ~1km and you will come across the sign for jcr. once you have found it, this is one of the best location for you to escape to. beautiful gardens and lots of perosnal attention and space (they only have 7 r...

Good and quiet location, few minutes driving distance to the town centre. I booked 3 rooms and all were spacious and very clean. The only minor thing was the air-conditioners in 2 rooms were a bit loud. However, did not affect the stay too much. Would recommend.

The bathrooms are great. Rooms are nice. Communication about the parking was very poor and due to them having construction work they emailed too late to say I had to park elsewhere while we are having work done. Only lucky that parking was just around the corner and being one day was a weekend it was free. Construction work outside on Saturday was noisy as well which s...

My Daughter and I loved Annies we have booked again next week to see a show we loved the cute rooms and the old fashioned style and service it is our new home away from home. The bathroom was large and the shower was hot and breakfast was included in the affordable price we loved it all and the beds were comfortable we had a great night sleep after a big day at the ek...

First time staying at the best western in albany and I think we do love it and will stay here again for sure! The hotel is located just near the town centre and you could walk or take a short drive to the town. Easy to find restaurant, there are 2 restaurants nearby which is the Indian restaurant (highly recommended) and the Chinese restaurant just walking distance fro...

We both absolutely enjoyed staying at Babinda Quaters. The amount of hard work and dedication put in by Maggie and her support to turn a wonderful solid building into fantastic place to stay without a doubt was a grand effort, and is worth a visit to soak in the character of a bi gone era with a little touch of mod cons. If you are lucky, you may be able hear a few ...

It was awesome, we wanted to stay somewhere basic but not camping, we wanted electricity and hot water, private bathroom. The rooms are basic but all you need, the best of both worlds, Middle of the rainforest but on the doorstep of the ocean. Heaps of fun activities and very affordable prices for families with young children. Restaurant food and drinks is very com...

we stayed for a couple of nights at this lovely hostel. the guest house is quiet and cozy. our room was very spacious and although bathrooms are shared, there is a washbasin in the room. the aircon-heater made our stay even nicer (it was pretty cold outside so it was nice to stay in a warm room). the kitchen is well equiped and is also quite spacious. breakfast is incl...

Everything is nice. Staff are helpful, breakfast was good, room was perfect. The air circulation for room is very good. The wifi, I tell you, is terrible. My first time to Australia, I need the wifi the most to look for many informations a new comer commonly need. The signal up and down, unable to log in and that's all. O yeah quite place to stay. No shouting in the ev...

This is a great spot to stay in the New Farm area. Nice and close to Powerhouse which is what we were looking for. This is an old Queenslander on a beautiful little piece of paradise in a convenient location. The rooms are NOT ensuited or aircon, but that is advised and what you expect for this type of accommodation. We used this just as an overnight stop for a wo...

Probably the best value accommodation in the Sydney area - the king room with ensuite was large, clean and comfortable - nicer than much more expensive hotels I've stayed at in Sydney. There is a communal kitchen for all to use, and there is (limited) on site parking. It is a very quiet residential area, yet walking distance to public transport and the city. Unfortunat...

a whole historic queenslander house awaited us, furnished with antiques. tom the owner was so kind and generous with all the food provided for breakfast, as well as homemade biscuits on our arrival. the house is absolutely beautiful with everything provided that you could possibly want. it is on a 300 acre cattle property, surrounded by magnificent gardens overlooking ...

Nice lodge with fire in lounge room. Place was spotlessly clean. The room was nice but it was tiny. So be prepared if you share a room with others. Good sized TV for night time viewing and more than adequate kitchen facilities. The single bed is extremely expensive, but that does include entry to Tahune walks. Night walk is offered as airwalk has reflectors, but no tor...

Delightfull. Owners do not live on site but next door so you have privacy with easy access to owners if neaded. Cosily and very comortably furnished with good matress and linen. Microwave fridge, tea and coffee and sink in separate private kithchen, dining, lounge area with large modern TV. WiFi free.Parking under cover. Owners v keen motor sports enthusiasts but this ...

People come Busselton for the Jetty usually. It's just 10 min walk away. When they knew I had a bad day before my check-in, they really cheered me up. Jeannie introduced for us to look at the shiny stars. That's amazing. She knew I needed to wait for the car, then she initiated to collect the car for me and showed me the way to jetty. The facilities look a little...

*Highly recommended* We stayed there for only 1 night but I have fell in love with everything. I love the room so comfy, the toilet so clean and water is so strong and hot, the continental breakfast experience was so nice. we couldn’t ask for more.. Owner was so welcoming and friendly.. Just love everything about them. Those dogs and cows were so adorable.. I hope to...

We absolutely loved this bnb. The host was really nice and just a chill lovely person. It was clean, comfortable, private, and surrounded by plants and flowers. It is situated on a hillside, which made the environment and views beautiful. There were so many outdoor hangout spots including an outdoor kitchen and a jacuzzi. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The manager at Little St Kilda was exceptionally friendly and professional and on hand tirelessly to assist in whatever i needed to make my stay comfortable. I found the facilities to be very clean ultra zen quiet and warm. the location was very good close to whatever i needed any time of day or night and I found the price for what was offered very pleasing also. I do...

We had a wonderful stay at Jen's Getaway. It felt like home away from home. The place is sparkling and Jen made us feel very welcome and relaxed. It is in a great location to explore the Glass House Mountains/Australia Zoo. Would highly recommend.

We visited Strahan to retrace my ancestors past. Franklin Manor was the ideal venue with its Victorian charm, excellent hosts, charming sitting rooms with log fires, books and magazines for browsing. Grand dining room with a very good continental breakfast.....would liked to have had a choice of some hard boiled eggs, croisssnts and cheese as they do in Europe.....this...

Arrived around 5pm Had no idea where to go There is a tiny phone booth sized shack that says reception. No one there. No sign of keys or that they had acknowledged our booking. We Called and was told the key is in the door... and I asked which room are we in.. I was told rosella. I asked how we get there and was told. A simple email could have presented this first i...

My two children and I enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing mini break at Starline Alpacas Farmstay. The location is perfect - very close to the best Hunter Valley vineyards yet tranquil and quiet. The kids adored the alpacas and many other animals. The most immaculately clean rooms I have ever seen! Very friendly staff we would definitely visit again

We had a great one night stay- was more like staying over at a friends villa than a hotel room. We stayed in the Shiraz room - had its own spa outdoor patio which was enclosed with a gate for pool access. Perhaps not the best for privacy as you could hear the guests in their patios. Everything in Yallingup mostly closes up after 5pm but this place offered a great littl...

We walked from Katoomba station max 10 minutes and the house was easy to find. Our room which we chose before hand when booking was just as described. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom large. Everything worked as it should, even the heating came on due to the cold weather which was a little too warm for us! Breakfast was great especially the home made warm...

Zebras is a large modern house with a variety of guest rooms. The zebra room is large, comfortable and of a higher standard than anything else I have seen in this part of Australia. It is up a spiral staircase (which would be a challenge for anyone needing to move large or heavy suitcases) and isolated from the rest of the house, making it quiet and private. The leo...

Booked Azabu as a mini-break gift for my parents. Had some initial problems with the booking agent (separate to Azabu) that I booked through, but the gentleman on the phone was so lovely and helpful to deal with and we ended up sorting the situation out in the end. My parents stayed earlier this week and let me know it was such a divine stay, they loved every second . ...

As soon as I walked in the front door I was delighted to find this welcoming little haven. I arrived on a very windy day and it was a cold night. Although there are two split systems it was fabulous to have the gas fire to create a warm and cosy ambience. I also appreciated the entertainment options of stereo, CD's, IPOD dock as well as a great selection of DVD's, m...

We booked one of the nicer rooms at the back with the view of the forest, and it was beautiful. Woke up to the scenic beauty of the karri trees, my friends went out for a walk in the early morning and enjoyed themselves, and the room was in such close vicinity to the main town. It was on the same road, in fact! Breakfast was meh. I liked that they had local produce lik...

I stayed to be close to my family. It is close to bus train just over the back fence so easy access to city. Breakfast option is available. Large enough room, large robes and ensuite is a good size, kettle mini fridge and toaster as well as wifi. Would stay there again especially with off peak discount rate offered. Annette South Australia.

Hands down! This accommodation is beautiful! In terms of view, facilities, staff! Everything was lovely! So peaceful and quite! Just what we were looking for to get away from the crazy busy Sydney life! Wake up every morning with a thick fog right outside out balcony (winter season of course), stunning view! Even in the evening, step out of your room and you'll actua...

Its a beautiful English cottage. The host, Karen is so kind and helpful. She even helped to carry one of one bags as we have so many bags with us. Her breakfast is a 10! She cooks with heart :) She even passed us a small b/w map and even wrote for us where we could visit along our way back to Melbourne. Such a lovely place and people. Our first time to Australia was de...

I flew over 30 hours to get to Perth Australia and did. It know that I would receive an email from City Quarters explaining how to enter the place. I knocked on the door planty of times but no answer. If I did. It have a phone capable of calling inside Australia, I may have had to wait several hours to get in. It has no "front desk." It was confusing.

Booked for wedding anniversary, somewhere off the beaten track, this is exactly what we got. No traffic or any other noises except for the resident wildlife. This was the best spot within 60 minutes of Melbourne that we have experienced. The town of Healesville has a lot to offer as well-plenty of cafes, wineries & distillery all within 10 mins. Will definitely be goin...

Bridgefield is part of a three piece complex, the Admiral Stirling is to the rear (away from the road) and Adamsons Riverside (across the road) The rooms are very clean and very quaint, there's no TV except in the lounge, good coffee/tea facilities, lots of towels, WiFi and the beds are very comfy. The staff are fantastic too. BUT, if you are a light sleeper or if yo...

We booked and stayed in Villa 1 for the weekend! Pros - Beautiful setting, close to the lake, restaurants, shops and nice surroundings. Everything about the villa was perfect. Clean big rooms, comfortable bed, double spa bath, gas log fire, netflix on both tv’s, fully equipped kitchen, veranda both front and back deck, heater was turned on when we arrived in the mid...

at the end of an unsealed, quiet road is planula a 'natural' family friendly resort set amid acres of native bushland. the owners provide a warm welcome almost as if you're guests at their own home - which in a way you are as they live next door. rooms are set in an old timber house, with a large central kitchen and balcony area providing facilities for cooking and tea...

This place was LOVELY! Pete and Deb were great resources and truly a pleasure to meet. We only booked one night and wished immediately that we booked our entire stay with them. The location was perfect. Ask for a courtyard room!! The bed was super comfy and if there weren't wineries involved I could've stayed in bed all day! Home cooked breakfast was also a welcomed tr...

We booked the Rose Cottage and absolutely loved it. It is even more beautiful than they are in the photos. It's very self-sufficient and well-equipped. Fully furnished, complete set of cutlery, pots, pans, toaster, everything you need from a house, it's there! The Cottage is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The surrounding courtyard is also beautiful! Linda a...

good clean and looks like recently newly refurbished rooms within the castle. Good entertainment value and experience for the kids. the room as got a queen bed, a single bed and a rollaway bed set up for us on arrival and with ample space to move around the room. I recently stayed three nights at the Victoria House Motor Inn and found everything from initial check in to cleanliness of room, response to any special requests to accommodate my personal needs, to final check in to be a great experience. The rooms are extremely large and the bed is luxurious. I also enjoyed the simple but high quality breakfast where the owners purc...
5-star hotels in Australia

Classic and beautiful hotel located in Yering station winery. Very good for wine tasting in Yarra Valley. Clean room, beautiful garden and pool, and delicious dinner. I stayed more than 100 hotels in the world, I think this hotel is the best 3 hotels in my life.

Sailway Beach house was by far one of the most incredible places to stay. From the moment I walked in the door I felt so relaxed and comfortable. I never wanted to leave. Everything was in walking distance. Had fantastic upgrades. I recommend anyone who would like to sit back and relax to visit Sailway Beach house.

this is advertised as a cabana with its own private infinity pool(and charged accordingly). this is not the case, as in the morning of our stay, the pool was being occupied by friends of the owners of the property. the owners response was to put them down the other end of the pool. she only removed them when reminded it is advertised as a private getaway. this ruined t...

Woodman Estate is a wonderfully maintained luxury escape. From the moment you drive through the gates to the amenities and services, everything is thought of. The staff are efficient and welcoming and the rooms, gardens, lake amazing. The food was magical, every bite crafted with care and skill. A special place to escape from the every day. The open fires and cozy seat...

My first B&B experience in Australia and I'd highly recommend it to everyone. It's such a beautiful place with very welcoming and friendly hosts Terry, Greg & Chris. Delicious breakfast and dinner, super clean rooms & stunning view overlooking the river. Though it's a little bit out of town, it's definitely worth the 20 minutes drive. The cottage has plenty of room...

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the “Beach Shack” Byron Bay. Thankyou to Veronica (the owner) for the warm welcome and great hospitality. The boutique apartments are private, comfortable and clean, with the added bonus of a great healthy breakfast each morning which can be eaten in, or out by the pool. It is also in a great central location, just minutes walk from t...

A wonderful Bed and Breakfast .A real gem set in a quite suburban street . The hosts were warm and generous with their time and provision of delicious breakfasts .The house was spotless with a wonderful atmosphere.Great attention is given to the comfort of guests .The veranda over looking the garden was a perfect place to start the day with the best ricotta pan cakes,...

Abelia House is in beautiful surroundings and just a short drive from the centre of Byron. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Each room has it's own outdoor section so breakfast can be eaten outside. The owner is very friendly and helpful and there are some really nice touches to make you feel welcome. The only slight negative is that t...

Our accommodation was large and comfortable with access to the roomy balcony where we watched kangaroos grazing and bird life and possums in the trees. Our hosts were friendly and knowledgeable and provided the best breakfast we have had in a B+B. Elegant table setting with fabulous home cooked food which was made to order. The location was conveniently close to town...

Just got back from Tassie. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great communication from Judith and Paul, really friendly, they organised dinner for us each night since it was cold and we didn't want to go out. Paul is a great cook, good tasty food using local ingredients. It's not cheap, but they're environmentally conscious, the place is well maintained and facilities are ...

Such a beautiful location. So close to Sydney. A hidden Gem :) The owners were so nice and welcoming. The Rose with its own private garden.. So good. The wine.. Yummy... Home cooked breakfast with a stunning view. Highly recommended and we will be back there for sure. 10 out of 10

Had an amazing stay. Extremely clean, well appointed and plentiful food basket for a tasty breakfast. Eggs tasted so fresh! Whilst my husband rode the organized Giro bella Donna out of Warburton, I rode the rail trail. Best of both worlds for us! Coffee machine definitely a plus. Stayed in cabin 1 which was very quiet. Would love to come back to the area to ride the...

Absolutely amazing B&B. The owners Margo a Peter have gone to incredible lengths to create a remarkable experience. The decor is luxurious and comfortable. The beds are incredibly comfy. The ensuite has a wonderful waterfall shower, heated towel rail etc etc. Breakfast is an absolute treat and late afternoon nibbles and wine by the fire in the lounge room is the best. ...

If you're looking for a nice weekend getaway in Mornington Peninsula, then this is hands-down the best place you can be. The room was spacious and comfy with good amenities and an impressive range of in-room movies (all included by the way). I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the night snuggled up with my girl. Definitely worth a stay!

Our stay at Bli Bli House was wonderful. It definitely gets 10/10 and goes down as the best B&B stay I have ever stayed in. Absolutely everything was perfection from the attention to detail (authentic period Victorian)to the splendour of the accommodation. The owners are a rare breed indeed providing ever creature comfort including strawberries and dipping chocolate as...

Rocked up late and found this lovely Deco home, booked a night from the driveway and checked in two minutes later. So easy, and such a friendly reception! Room is extremely clean and comfortable. When they say it's the Marilyn Monroe suite they aren't kidding - she's everywhere!!! It's nice to see someone go to so much effort to decorate a guest room! Breakfast was se...

We only stayed for one night and arrive quite late. Robyn was there to greet us and she was very welcoming even though we arrive quite late. It was a very cold night and she had the rooms pre heated, which is a very nice touch. Stayed in a 2 Bed cottage, was good size, very clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel area is very well maintained and very peaceful. We ...

A small slice of paradise nestled in its own tropical Queensland rainforest. Peter and Steven are the perfect hosts. We felt at home from the time we pulled up to the time we left. Will definitely be returning to enjoy the tranquil setting and the wonderful hospitality.

This was my favourite stay of our trip! We stayed in the Log Cabin - a quirky yet authentic little place reflective of "Good old Australiana". The relaxed vibe and beautiful surrounds of the cabin just made our stay super special. No better place to sit back after a day of playing tourist to watch the sunset over this beautiful part of the world. (Ps the Sunrise was a...

We received a very warm welcome after a long journey, settled in briefly before whizzing off to the Penguin Safari. Our room was very clean and well appointed and the breakfast was fantastic. My wife is gluten intolerant and this was not a problem for the chef. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

We really enjoyed our stay at Victoria's, it is not a hotel, it is a guest house and if you go with that in mind it is lovely to be able to sit in the communal areas like it is a home rather than being holed up in your room. The complimentary pastries and snacks are a lovely touch. Victorias is 30 seconds from Wategos beach and the walk to the light house and there is ...
