The breakfast spread was moderate as compared to our stay in Prague. The eateries, general stores and super market are just a stone throw away. The reception staff was specifically very helpful and pleasant. Though the check in time was 3pm we were allowed 2 hours early. The only negative of the place was no excleators , this as we were carrying very heavy luggages for our 10 days stay in Europe. Over all a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend.

A bit difficult to find since the reception is not on the ground floor, but once there it was smooth sailing. Over all a great experience staying here - a real bargain in a city that's getting very expensive!!

Good location Easy parking I saw metro/bus station just in front very nice receptionist/ owner and his family members room is tidy and extremely clean, I can barefoot walking in the room like at my home, no dust at all. price bit dear maybe becoz of new year night so still reasonable breakfast is very well prepared not heaps of choice but enough

I booked the single room. It was small and very basic with no window. Well, technically there was a window, but it was to a narrow shaft for ventilation. It felt like an inside cabin on a ship. The bed was fine as was the shared restroom. Only complaint about the restroom is that it smells of mold. There is a shared fridge and a microwave oven, but no sink (except for...

The bed was fine as was the shared restroom. Only complaint about the restroom is that it smells of mold. There is a shared fridge and a microwave oven, but no sink (except for the one in the restroom). I never met any personnel, but the contact I had via email was friendly. I would stay here again because the location is really good.

Largely because of the excellent staff, we would choose to stay at The Gerloczy again on our next visit to Budapest.

Note that there's nothing but clear glass encircled the bathing area. Free Wifi & walkable distance to metro make credits.

Great location in Central Budapest. Top floor so not for those who lack agility. Two rooms (not adjacent) - one bedroom and one bathroom. It was nothing like photo shown. Handles to both doors kept falling off. Defrosted fridge leaked water on arrival. Food (whatever) on bedroom floor attracted ants. Holes and stains in mattress clearly visible through thin bedsheet. Duvet cover had lots of fluff. Neither bedside lamp worked. No coat hangers. Bathroom outer window sill covered in cigarette butts. Possible shower leak. Further "supplies" delivered on 2nd day. Of those, only coathangers useful.

Be wary as they have a misleading listing. Nowhere in the listing does it say that the bathroom is shared. I had an impression that this is a hotel type accommodation. There's no reception and you have to wait for the guy, who does not stay in the property, to let you in. Checking out was a hassle. There's no reception and you have to wait for the guy, who does not stay in the property, to let you in. Checking out was a hassle. Supposedly, it should be easy, just leave the automatic key on the desk. What makes it more complicated is that you also need access to the main gate from the inside. I sent a text message the day before I checked out to make things easy for me, but I did not get any answer. Pls don't get me started on the reasoning that the rates are cheap and that I should not expect a five star hotel service. It is a matter of truthfully (which in the case of this listing, they didn't lie but they omitted pieces of info that would help guests decide whether to book or not)

Great location and value. The man who checked us in was so nice and showed us the view from the office of the synagogue next door. The accommodation is very budget and the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors but its great value for budget accommodation.

You have to check in at another location and then walk 15 minutes to the site of the room. It was not fun in the rain. When you are new to a city this is not what you want to be doing. Few minutes walk to the metro and bus station, which link to all the tourist attractions and airport shuttle bus.. Supermarket and restorant are nearby. Old building and room, little bit noisy from the street traffic in the early morning, but at that price is ok. Very friendly owner and staffs and can be accessed day and night.

The hotel is ideally situated no more than 200m from the station. The town is quite small and is just the other side of the station, so the hotel location is ideal. The place has a beautiful courtyard that gives a peaceful place to stay after a long day of touring, there is a clean kitchenette for guests to share, the rooms are nice, however the walls are paper thin and the bathroom and second separate toilet is shared between 4 rooms which may be a thing you need to consider before buying. Although the bathroom was shared, it was cleaned regularly so I cannot fault Oasis for that. The lack of parking is a possible downside as well, and you will have to find street parking somewhere. Overall, a great stay in a perfect location, would recommend.

The apartment worked out well although we were disappointed not to have the one we booked due to roadworks nearby. Unfortunately we were left with the feeling that we may not have done so well from the deal as we paid the same money for a lesser location. Unfortunately we were left with the feeling that we may not have done so well from the deal as we paid the same money for a lesser location. Having said that the location worked well for us and we were close to many forms of transport, bus, metro, trams etc. as well as a short walk to the Danube and many sights. We were not aware that the apartment was to be shared with others - we had our own locked room and bathroom off the shared kitchen. The apartment was clean and well fitted out.

We booked this at the very last minute (the morning itself on the check in date) and the owner was very accommodating to let us check in early as we were leaving the same evening anyway. Please note that there are two locations. the one we were in Kazincy, was just ok. The room had not been aired for a while and smelt damp. The cleanliness could have been heaps better. However, we appreciated the friendliness and the fact that the owner was flexible and accommodating. As we only stayed a few hours until the time for our evening flight, we were not concerned about the overall comfort of the room. the location is good, about 8 minutes' walk to Astoria metro on the red line.

Very helpful and friendly owner, comfortable beds, fast Wifi, nice clean rooms and communal kitchen. The location of this Guesthouse is close to the city center and also close to the lake Balaton. Very good restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Thank you - i will come back!

The location is perfect for visiting Budapest, Danube Bend and all the region . Nevertheless, the Hostel Fot is situated in a very quiet area, and has a very nice garden around the building, where we can take a coffee in a very pleasant way . Next week I will stay again 4 additional nights in Hostel Fot, and I will choose again this Hostel all the times that I will came again to Budapest .

Their bed and their place is soooo great! You can sleep well with spaces for each one. The toilet is clean even when there's no reception here. The kitchen is great, you can use the microwave or fridge inside. The location is so great, next to metro station, store or supermarket. You can take a few station to another places. It's totally money worthy!! I love Budapest...

I can highly recommend this place. Only 5 minute walk from the main square and the owner is lovely - she doesn't speak English but we communicated with hand gestures - the room was much nicer than in the photos and was VERY spacious! I would stay here again without a doubt. Good WiFi as well.

Such a cozy, comfortable place. The sweet, hard working lady who runs it it raised her family in the house for 35 years and turned it into a guesthouse. She had fresh coffee and a smile waiting for me every morning in her lovely dining room. It is about 1 km from the city center but I enjoyed walk through the adorable town. During my ten day stay I found that the hotel was kept very clean, and is bright, peaceful, and welcoming. Although the decor of my bedroom was a little jaded, it was very clean, and was serviced daily, with clean towels regularly provided. Just be aware that the towels are hand towels, so you may wish to bring your own bath towel. The room was basically furnished, but adequate for most peoples needs. The bed was a little firm, but I like a firm mattress so that was a plus for me. The staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly, with all of them speaking good English, and also, some of them speak Spanish and German. The hotel reception is staffed 24 hours a day, so there is always someone there if you need assistance. Wifi is available free in the public reception area, which is comfortable with settees and coffee table, there is also a coffee machine, and cold drinks available at all hours from reception. The hotel is situated on a pleasant, tree lined street, along which, a two minute walk will bring you to City Park. Take a pleasant walk through the park and you can visit the beautiful Vajdahunyad Castle, Heroes Square, The Art Gallery, and the Museum of Fine Arts. Dominik Panzió is far enough away from the City centre to be relatively quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to transport links to the City to make it easily accessible There are shops and supermarkets close by, and restaurants within easy walk of the hotel. For a budget hotel, I was certainly happy with the Dominik Panzió. It will certainly be the first place I book on future trips to Budapest.

This is a great place at a unique location. Our room had a view to the castle. The facilities are convenient, spacious and clean. The service was perfect, the staff is very friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel home. They have rental bikes, a sauna and jacuzzi as well. A must visit place in the area.

Thomas and Carmen go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. It is their personable service and efficient professionalism that will make you come back again! My room was huge and immaculate, with new decor and bathroom fittings. There are effective curtains and no noise whatsoever, so you will sleep soundly. Breakfast is substantial and served with a smile, with proper espressos and cappuccinos included. Plus there's a big bottle of mineral water every day in your room, and fruit and cakes left out for guests to help themselves. The location is perfect - just by the Parliament building, the Danube, and metro and tram stations. Not everything is perfect. The communal entrance hall and staircase areas are shabby, but you will only spend 30 seconds there. My toilet was too close to the basin vanity unit for comfort, and the shower tiles were a bit slippy, but all in all you won't find better for your money.
