Best hotels & accommodations in India

I stayed at Ganpati Guest House in Varanasi for 3 nights in a Super Delux Room, which was fantastic! The room was on the top floor with private balcony and great views overlooking the Ganges which was brilliant for sunrise. The cleanliness of the room and the whole establishment was excellent and while I was having breakfast one morning in the restaurant the staff came...

We were two solo travelers ( Law students from USA) who had just finished the arduous trip from Srinagar--Kargil--Leh, and when we got to this guest house we were greeted with kindness. We had little planed, but had already booked a night at Pangong lake and had ideas to go to Nubra valley in our short time here(a little under a week). When we told the hostess of our p...

Good service, 3 star standard, very clean, comfortable beds, clean toilets, very nice breakfast, decent food with average price, very good staff, reception and manager. Free wifi in the lobby. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Only negative: it is 5 mins from chowrastha but that 5 minutes will be bit painful so 1 star less for the location and cheapest room is...

What an amazing start to our Rajasthan travels! Food was excellent; the best I had eaten all around India. Tents and beds were magical with a front terrace to read a book and enjoy a beverage. I truly was happy to have chosen to be at Winds. Your stay will include welcome drinks, cultural dance, dinner, breakfast, and a camel safari to the dunes for the sunset. If you ...

We stayed in Jaiwana Haveli for 3 days last week. Family-run hotel with a European-like approach to service and guest satisfaction. Very clean and well maintained (like new), with smiling and supportive management and all staff. Excellent central location, very calm and quiet at the same time. Superb views from the roof-top restaurant. Food very good and sensibly price...

In general this is a very beautiful place to stay. There are lots of activities and facilities on offer. The food was really nice, although the restaurant service is poor. For example, we were told breakfast would be available from 8 am, but when we got there at 8:30 we had to wait until 9 to be served. The staff focused on large groups and ignored individual family...

The Hotel location is good and close to the main road and very close to India Gate, Purana Qila, National Zoo. We have booked 2 rooms for my family but there is no hot water in one bathroom. The breakfast menu is very good but the test for the dinner is not upto the mark. overall 3 star out of 5.

Great for a night or two. Comfortable stay although for European, remember this is India, so the bed is smaller than you'd find at home. It's more a double, so if you're a bigger couple, not so comfy. The honeymoon suite is the the same as the other rooms apart from the balcony which overlooks the sea. Breakfast is omlette and toast (fried bread) but if you wait until ...

This family owned hotel will make it on the top of my top 10 list for the best experiences I've ever made. This is not only caused by the delicious kitchen they have but also because the staff is so super friendly without being too artificial (which may some service orientated staff members in comparable or priecier hotels in India tend to). They were so helpful and at...

This was one of those stays which checks all the pointers you need for a weekend getaway place, I will list out the plus - 1. We were a family of 7 people including one toddler. 2. We were welcomed by the staff on our arrival and all the luggage handling was taken care of. 3. We booked a double executive room and deluxe room. Both rooms were with amazing valley view (...

First of all, please get your expectations right: It is not a hotel but a homestay (and so do not expect it to be like a hotel). We went there as a family of 4 (with 2 senior citizens) and we all loved the place. They give you an independent flat based on what you have chosen. We chose "Sea View Deluxe Balcony" for 3 nights . This was 2BHK flat on the second floor wit...

I will give 5 star out of 5. We stayed there for 3 nights and it's really good. Best part is resort location, just infront of Baga Beach. You don't need to go there if your stay is here, you can chill till late night at Baga beach without worrying to go back to ur resort as hardly it will take 5 min to reach there. In our package Breakfast was also included and i must ...

Nimmu House is a beautiful, peaceful and luxurious place to hang out for a few days. It offers a good range of things to do and great food. We went rafting and on a day trek that was one of the best things we did in Ladakh. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the setting is sublime. It’s perfect for a few days acclimatisation, or a place to unwind after ...

One of the best hotel in the city. The best part is the close proximity to the railway station. Finding such a clean and comfortable place near railway station is very difficult. Room was neat and staff was very friendly and well trained. Restaurant also served delicious mouth watering food. Will recommend for both business and family trips.

The Divine Hima is a small family hotel with only 7 rooms. Its a hard work of owner Mr Sanjay Kumbhakarni. It has an amazing art gallery, a library, fire place and a homely restaurant. From roof top you can have amazing views of the Dhauladhar mountains. We enjoyed every time spent in this tastefully done hotel. It has wonderful and unique interiors, decorated with art...

Pros - Big well maintained, beautiful property with a swimming pool. Far from the hustle bustle of the city. Very close to a secluded part of Paradise beach(which is not at all crowded, feels like a private beach). The staff is very courteous. Rooms are big and clean(very hygienic). They give you sufficient number of towels and toiletteries. They serve only breakfast...

This guesthouse was my first stop in India. I was greeted by courteous staff (especially the elevator man). I felt very safe because they not only had gates, security guard, in every floor there was at least one boy sleeping outside of our rooms to respond to our requests and needs. Because of my travel schedule I will return to the hotel after 20 day travel and fly ou...

SITA Guest House is the best hotel we stayed in India during our 3-weeks holidays! The owner and his sons are really friendly and helpful. They organised us a boat trip (fair price), they allowed to take shower in the evening, after check out (it was about 50 C, and we were really in need after whole day sightseeing). They told us where to sip really good Masala Chai i...

New and small (9 rooms) B&B with spacious and clean rooms with good standard in India. Good breakfast (although the same options every day). Very friendly staff. Good WiFi in the rooms and the breakfast room. Nice and large sofa lounge to sit down or meet with friends. Good locations to shops and 10 minutes walk to the main Hauz Khas place. Near IIT (Indian Institute o...

This is a fairly new hotel but it won’t be around for long if it’s customer service is anything to go by. The hotel itself is fine but I would never recommend this hotel to friends or family based purely on their staff. Honestly, look elsewhere-it is not worth ruining your experience of Ranthambore and holiday in India for!! It’s run by scammers looking to make money...

My husband , my daughter and i stayed at the Tree of Life 4 nights in January . We recommend staying in this bed and breakfast . Ashwani and his staff made us feel welcomed without being intrusive . Ashwani gave us all the information we needed for our stay in Delhi , he arranged a car for our trip to Agra and to take us to the airport . The staff cooked really good br...

We had the best time at casa Baga. It is perfectly located close to the beach and the Main Street with bars and Clubs, but it’s still nice and quiet- the perfect place to relax. The room was clean and we loved to Bali-Stlye interior. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!

I stayed here for 12 days while taking classes at Landour Language school. Doma's is conveniently located to walk to the school (or Char Dukan/Lal Tibba) or to the market. It's set above the crowd and hustle of mall road so feels very peaceful. The decorations are immaculate and fun. The restaurant is good and clean - make sure to try the momos and khaosuey! Breakfast ...

I came in at 3 am and there was someone to help me. There was hot water at any hour of the day, and a kitchen (even with a toaster) for everyone to use. The bed was firm enough but soft on top. Cleanliness was good for India. It is about 700? meters off the main road but not difficult to find, and the scenery is natural around the area. It was very quiet for sleeping...

For the price, Scindhia guest house is a great option. Perfect location next to the river, helpful staff, and good clean food at the restaurant. You can step out the back door of the hotel and down to the river, for a boat ride or a walk along the ghats. I considered staying farther away from the river, and am glad I didn't, as it was nice to be able to explore the ...

We arrived in Panaji during a public holiday, so unfortunately everything was closed. Luckily, Mateus guesthouse offered a relaxing, clean, cool, and well-presented base to chill out and acclimatise to India. Our room and bathroom had some attractive design touches - as did the rest of the property - the air conditioning worked extremely well (a necessity in 40-degree ...

We really enjoyed our stay at the guest house. Great safari, nice accommodation and excellent service. Also I loved the food in the roof top restaurant, which is a good place to relax and to meet new people. I definitely recommend the guest house with great hospitality.

Perfect place to stay inside the fort on a budget. Incredible views, great restaurant and reasonable prices, good wifi, hot water in the shower, peaceful nights sleep. Great camel safari booked through the guest house. Staff are lovely. Tuk tuk from the station should be 80-100r (double at night). Definitely recommend. Honeymoon suite is simple but would definitely sta...

We had a very warm welcome with tea and breakfast when we arrived at the Khandela paying guest house even though it was a bit hard to find. Anyway, the rooms are very clean and big, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the food you get here is tasty and cheap. So basically you get everything you can expect for that price.

Atithi Guest House is great value. It's clean and quiet and comfortable . The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. No hassles whatever. The internet is fast and free. The roof terrace is a relaxing place to have breakfast with 360 view . anyone will feel comfortable here. It is very relaxed. It is in a nice area of town with all facilities within walking distance ...

We stayed for 3 nights and then booked another 3! Good Wi-Fi. Location was good, restaurants, bars and beach all within a 5 minute walk. The bloke running it greeted us on arrival and was a nice friendly guy. Would recommend to anyone staying in Candolim!

I went there with a little more than needed expectations which u should not when the price is 1.5 $, but it is not advised for people who are not used to staying in places like INDIA. but for Indian bachelors I would say it will be worth trying if u have stayed in worse dorms. The place claims affiliation to HI, unfortunately HI will be hurt deeply if they come see thi...

I didn't expect to find Shiva Guest House as perfect as it was. I just booked the place for few hours rest before I hopped on a midnight train. It turned out to be one of the most place I would always come back to if I ever go back to Jaisalmer. It's very clean, the owner - Shiva - and his staff were very nice and friendly. It's totally worth more than price I pay.

I was stay there 3 night. Very nice guest house . good price and beautiful view from rooftop. Nice view to fort and Jaswant Thada. Especially staff were very friendly . they will welcome you with smile everyday. Duhi Chouhan and Husain were very friendly helpful and kind when they agree for us check out late and even offer we can stay in our room unroll evening for fr...

The guest house was really atypical and clean. Viki our host is an incredible character, funny, helpful, and available to help in case of any problem. The room was clean and more than correct for that price. The meals and breakfasts are great. Our host and the travelers who where there made this journey sensational. Thank you for all !!!

If you want to enjoy the beach and locals in a quiet, secluded place, you have to be here. Funky Art Beach House has affordable and clean rooms. Sagar is a cool host (you will notice his sense of humor when you ask for the password for WiFi ...). He gave me good advice for restaurants where you can eat local dishes.

Big Thank's to Sonu, Shiva and Raj, plus the rest of the staff here. I wasn't there long but I was make to feel welcome and at home in their guest house. There are renovations going on at the moment but they are not intrusive or disturbing. Sonu gave me a tour of what's going on and I'll guarantee that it'll soon be No. 1 in Rishikesh. All I'll say is get in quick a...

i and with my friend stay 1 night in this Guest house, everything is great. at counter i saw signboard mention breakfast was at 8.00 am, but i'm not too sure breakfast complimentary in rooms fares or not. so next morning i decided to ask the madam at counter then she tell me i need to go to rooftop for breakfast. i'm so surprise there nothing at rooftop even the cleani...

We had an excellent experience at Le Pension. It is owned by two brothers who are great guys and were extremely helpful. They basically bent over backwards to make sure our stay, and everyone else's stay was good. They also gave us lots of info and help with our travels in India. They were always around to help and it is obvious that they truly care about their guests ...

Bliss locates near Assi Ghat and hides in a quiet and small alley. One could easily reach the ghats and river and also have some calm rest from the hustle and bustle of the town. Airport transportation, currency exchange and walk tours are available with reasonable prices. Helpful and friendly owner and staff. Recommend!

Brand new guest house in Bhuj. Excellent location in the centre of town and just behind the bus terminal. All facilities are new, clean and comfortable. Kitchen facilities, free drinking water, towels, good wifi and a outdoor terrace on the 1st floor. The owner, Shareef, is a wonderfully kind man who shows genuinely care for his guests. All trips in and around Bhuj (R...

Having had a horrible nights stay elsewhere in Manali, we were so relieved to arrive at Orchards House. From the moment we stepped in to the peaceful garden, we felt at home, and knew we were going to love our stay. Varun (the owner) went above and beyond what we expected during our stay, even bringing his TV out his room so those who wanted to could watch the World C...

While away from the actual Munnar town, this place was a good choice for us. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. The view from the balcony was really great. The breakfast was delicious, and the owner was very helpful. He organized us a tuk tuk to take us around two days in a row, and the driver was really brilliant. We saw everything we wanted to see and...

Lonely guest house is perfect for stay in sringar, before arrive in india i have no thing to pre booking the accommodation in srinagar, After reading on LP guide and few travel website that you have to face lot of problem at srinagar airport created by touts. i booked Lonely guest house and also send the special request to pick up from srinagar Airport and they ha...

Varanasi was my first destination in India and as a solo female traveler I was ready to be overwhelmed. Shiva's was my haven- and the kindness and generosity I received there would rank it my best accommodation experience to date. Shiva is a lovely, open man who you can learn many things from. He always has time for his guests. The rooms are spotless and the location i...

My stay at The Govind was a complete joy, from start to finish. After reading so many positive online reviews for such a reasonably priced hotel, my expectations were high; but still The Govind managed to surpass all my expectations. I have travelled abroad extensively, and stayed at a number of hotels in Rajasthan of varying quality and price : The Govind is without d...

The rooms were neat and clean. Location was also good. The staff were also good. Parking area was there. The roomis sufficient for 2 people. One extra person can sleep if there is an extra bed. The property was worth for the money. It would be good if there is a small children play area, a swimming pool, a small place to play badminton, etc.

New property, well maintained, Little Italy restaurant at roof top, Central locality, Nice Breakfast.....Truly value for money. Only issue was that the rates at which we booked through Agoda was higher compared to the rates offered by the property for direct walk-ins. Felt disappointed considering Agoda's lowest price guarantee.

I decided to book the Bhanwar Singh Palace after reading favourable reviews but nothing prepared me for the stunning place we pulled into. From a distance it looks a bit like a castle but when we arrived, a wonderfully mustachioed gentleman in a turban greeted us and a very cool blue golf-cart-like vehicle whipped up our bags and took them to our room. Since the hotel...

Mani Mansion is one of the best Heritage Home converted into Hotel but still kept Heritage intact by maintaining Historical Building architect since 1923. Owners Tushar and Ravi Dalal are best hosts, food is excellent and staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend anyone travelling from Abroad or within India to Ahmedabad to check this crown. Thank you everyone a...

The resort is extremely beautiful and located amidst greenery with the Periyar river as backyard. The rooms are large and clean including the toilets. Mr Bobi was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Don’t miss to visit the beautiful Uliyanoor Mahadev Temple located 1.5 km away, it’s 2000 years old !!!Only the breakfast was limited however it was served hot and effic...

Couldn't have been better! After the frenzy of getting through the Metro trains and stations I came out of the Racecourse station to a beautiful neighborhood of tree-lined streets and beautiful architecture. Then I walked into the property of the guesthouse to find beautiful gardens, a warm greeting, and lovely quiet room. All the guests staying there were very inte...

this property is an hour and half away from the main city. however trust me it is a boon. It is a large property with good amenities and well maintained. the main highlight for me is their cultural show, the singers and the dancer are the best I have seen across multiple such programs in Jaisalmer.

The best hotel among all the other hotels in 3 states I visited around India. My family and I felt being at home. The yummy Breakfast and food were really delicious, the staff were extremely helpful and nice. I would defenately choose Presa Di Goa for my next stay.

Very friendly staff. Bungalow has Excellent views...it is on top of a hill with beautiful vast open views of lush green valleys and mountains.. Access road to Bungalow is very steep, poor quality road and difficult. But once you reach, it is bliss.

After booking the room, we called the hotel on the number provided. we were told that the hotel has stopped bookings a month back. Rude shock for us. As we had a conference to go to , we made quick alternate arrangements and moved on. I'm waiting for the refund from Agoda.

We were visiting Srinagar at the peak of winter and were a little circumspect. However, We had the most relaxed time in Srinagar thanks to amazing hospitality of Ahmad. An amazing property. The place was very warm with heater and electric mattress. Food was amazing - both the dinner and breakfast. if anyone is stayingn srinagar, you wont find a better hotel than this....

Tranquil location, stunning gardens, friendly staff, excellent vegetarian food. But the building itself could stand some maintenance and the living and dining rooms are somewhat ''cold.'' Could easily be made much cozier and atmospheric without losing authentic character. And they should immediately get rid of the only beer they served -- the American Budweiser, whi...

Guest house location is great for visiting the original part of panaji and close to jetty with some good restaurants/bars close by. Area comes to life at night. Accomodation is small but functional - booked a room to accomodate 3 but given a double which was tight. Plug points in poor positions for charging mobile ect so small shelves would help. Room was not cleaned ...

Excellent resort place if you want a quite laid back stay, Staff was extremely friendly and always there to help, Rateesh service was the best, We stayed there for 2 nights ..Rateesh arranged rides to and fro from the beaches and other locations. We wanted Kerala Home food and the Chef (Biju - hope I got the name right) was exceptional in his cooking ..Thanks to every...

A very disappointing stay given the cost of the reservation. While the hotel concept is great – a small boutique homestay with just 6 rooms set in an old colonial manor house, the value for this service was perhaps 50% to 70% of what we paid. The views from the hotel terrace are fine and breakfast in the veranda is enjoyable. The rooms are large and spacious, althou...
