I loved my stay at Gente de Mas B&B. The location is in the center of Puebla. It is within walking distance to all the major attractions (Zocalo, Amparo Museum, etc.), although it is farther than some other hostels. However, it is closer to the bus station with buses to Cholula. The staff are great and attend to your every need and answer all your questions. At least in the 4-bed female dorm, the beds are huge (queen size) and very comfortable. Each bed has its own outlet and light. Lockers are underneath the bed. No towels are provided, so make sure to bring your own! There is good Wi-Fi connection that reaches the rooms. Bathrooms are nice and clean. I would have preferred hooks or hangers in the showers though. The kitchen is nice and huge as well, although I did not use it. There is free purified water. There were hardly any people at the hostel when I was there, so it is hard to meet people if you're a solo traveler. However, this might be due to the fact that the hostel is new and doesn't have a lot of traffic yet. If you plan on being out late past 12, I would suggest asking for the key to the front door, as the staff can be a bit slow to answer, although they say the reception is 24 hours. Se puede caminar a todas las atracciones más populares (Zócalo, Museo Amparo, etc.), aunque está un poquito más lejos que los demás hostales. Sin embargo, está mas cerca a la estación donde salen los camiones a Cholula. El personal es muy amable and te atiende todas las necesidades y te ayuda con cualquier pregunta o duda. Por lo menos en el dormitorio femenino de 4 camas, las camas son muy grandes (queen size) y muy cómodas. Cada cama tiene su propio enchufe y luz. Hay lockers bajo las camas. No se brindan toallas, entonces trae la tuya! Hay buena conexión de Wi-Fi que llega a los dormitorios. Los baños son buenos y están limpios. Hubier

We booked for two nights but ended up staying for a whole week! The family running the place is absolutely amazing! They went out of their ways to make us feel at home. They are all super friendly, helpful and so much more. The place is super clean and within walking distance to restaurants, cafes and bars. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place surrounded by a lovely family!

close to the airport and the train station. The room rate is cozy too! and the owner is super nice, helpful and responsible. i got late check -in (1:30am), but the owner, Verenice, still waited for me. she fave me her whatsapp, so that she can offer help immediately anytime. Below accident can show how good the ower is. i forgot to take my room key with me to the bathroom, and got the door lock😭 it was 2:30 am . I found a friendly guest to help me to contact Verenice, she woke up again and found my room key to open the door, at the mid-night!!!! she is so so so nice and helpful!! highly recommend to stay here!

I have been a guest at Hotel Mission and Spa for on 20 visits since I first stayed there in 1985. This family owned and run Hotel sits in the heart of the old city. It's close to the zocalo which is like the town square, and also close to where the famous Acapuco divers do their stuff. The two daughters of the original owner still run the place, and most of the help has been there for many years. You have to see it to believe it !

the mansion giahn bed & breakfast was such a quaint place to stay. there are a variety of rooms to choose from & each of them are budget friendly. the bottom floor consists of an open foyer/common room, a living room, dining room & kitchen and visitors have access to each. the weather in cancun is always lovely so the windows & doors are usually left open to allow a cool breeze to come inside. there are available desktop computers or you can ask to access the free wifi. this b&b is located in the suburbs of cancun so i’d advise renting a car or you can request a ride into town for a fee. the staff only speak a few words of english so be sure to brush up on your spanish beforehand – i learned this the hard way. even though there was a language barrier, i still enjoyed my stay here & would recommend this b&b to others.

If you are like my wife and I and you want to enjoy the almost real Mexican life I say almost because they would still clean the room bring fresh towels and make the bed every day plus ant Martha's would make the breakfasts .From the front and the surrounding areas doesn't look like much but inside very nice decor very clean and very relaxing with the sound of the river right out the back door Mario's the owner is always willing to help and tell you where to visit for lunch or supper there is lots of great restaurants Whiting a 20 min walk

We had a great stay at this Inn... Alan kindly collected us at the bus station and welcomed us to his home. We had requested a downstairs and quiet room, which he provided, but after our arrival he graciously let us shift to a larger room upstairs. The place is home-style with a very local feeling. We had a great night's sleep, as it was also quiet. Plenty of hot water, AC, and made to order breakfasts in the morning. Friendly, accommodating staff and good value for the money. This appartment was briliant, its hard to describe how beautiful it was. At first, its a walking distance of about 6 blocks from the ferry port, so you dont need to use taxi or etc. Just straigt ahead from the ferry, very simple :) In the house, there is a pool when you can refresh (especially in the morning its perfect! ), lot of flowers and terraces where you can sit and relax. Appartment itself is very cozy and super clean - they are cleaning it every day for you ! There was also a hammock in the room, ideal for relax after all day at beach ! The owners are doing it with love and you can see it on every piece and every corner of that beutiful hostel. They helped us with everything, you can also ask them for scooter rental. Guy delivered our scooter just in front of the hostel's room, new bike and price was better than if you rent it on the street. Common fully equipped kitchen, very clean. FREE COFFEE every morning, and for volunteer money you can also fill your bottle with fresh water from soda bar. Thats great, because it saves your time every day when you dont have to go to shop because of water. Nice atmosphere there, I can fully recommend this appartment and hope I will return here some time ! :) And ... you will love Isla Cozumel, imho best place in Mexico !

Starting out, the room was in a great location, central to everything, easily access anything you need. When we checked in, 1 lady gave us keys (3), I was unable to lock the gate, so I did not. Upon arrival back, gate locked, had to ask to have them unlock it and why key didn’t work. Apparently there were supposed to be 4 keys and the 2nd lady swears we lost it, repeatedly told me I was lying and I lost it basically. After getting the 4th key, things were good, but she now felt the need to harass us about literally everything, kept telling us to stop smoking in the house(which we had never done ever), told us we couldn’t drink beers in the house, which was funny because one morning we came downstairs to one of her family members sleeping on the sofa in the common area with beers all around him. I took a picture to prove it. The hot water worked hit or miss the first 2 days, after that no hot water at all. The second bed that was supposed to be a single bed was actually a futon, and very uncomfortable. Cleaning ladies decide to clean at the crack of dawn and you can’t sleep in if you wanted to. The last day the cleaning lady decided to walk right into our room before we even got into bed. Overall, great great place if you can get past not having hot water, and feeling like you are the enemy for losing a key that was never given to us, being accused of smoking in the house, and told you can’t drink a few beers(we are by no means party animals. I’m 36 and way past that stage.), and dealing with the house keeping/attitude that you catch from non existent issues. Clean, great area, secure, quiet, just wish I could have had a hot shower

The person in charge was very kind and very helpful. If we had any questions about anything he would help immediately. The location was a little hard to find for our taxi driver but once you are there it is hard to miss. Since it is near a park it can be a little noisy with birds ay times so I recommend ear plugs but either than that, there were no complaints. The beds were soft and everything was great, especially the breakfast. A very typical Mexican breakfast and very delicious. If you are staying in the center of cancun City and want easy access to cheaper meals, stores and even cheaper taxis, I recommend this hotel.

My stay surpassed expectations. This bed-and-breakfast has about 8 rooms. Its location was excellent, and the pricing was competitive. Rooms are truly beautiful and full of local touches. Mine was very spacious and very comfortable. The bed was very large. I also enjoyed the flat-screen TV with international programming. The house has a roof-top terrace with stunning views - this terrace of various levels serves as a smoking area and may be used for special events. Casa de Pita provides complimentary bottled water. The typical Mexican breakfast was absolutely delicious. All staff members were friendly and eager to make my stay special. In my mind, there is no doubt that this bed-and-breakfast deserves a perfect score in my evaluation. Beyond any doubt, I hope to be able to return many times!
