Stayed here for a week. All of our special requests were granted. We got a room at the 7thflr. The view was very nice. Breakfast was composed of cereals, bread, noodles, orange juice, and milk. Good for filling up your stomach before heading out. What I like most about this hotel is their location. Super close to the train stations, malls, and DDP. Even to designated m...

This was my 2nd time in Seoul and I’m so glad that I was able to find Ehwa in Agoda! We are a family of 7, all adults and the loft family room fits us perfectly! The loft has 4 queen beds, 1 on the 2nd flr, 1 inside a room and the 2 just on the main area. We have 2 bathrooms, a retro fridge, TV, huge AC and table and bench inside. We really got the price we paid for an...

I loved my stay here! The staff is very accomodating and friendly! The room i booked is small but very pleasent. :) It’s clean. Breakfast is also included, there are breads and cereals. You can also cook if you want. I loved the location, its near the train station. Also u can easily access the beauty stores and you can easily buy street foods once u go out the hotel. ...

Philstay is the best Hostel I've stayed at so far! Room: It is fairly sized, very nice layout, luggage can be stored under the bed, Bed is so comfy and the sheets are great, you can request it to be changed anytime, The room is not that soundproof but its okay, the ceiling is low but we are short anyway, The mini Ref is very useful, but needs more energy to cool. TV i...

We had a great stay in SH Seoul Guesthouse and it was really something we could call home during our 6-day stay in Korea. It is very accessible to all modes of transportation and we felt safe coming home to it at any time of the day and night. It is clean, cozy, and all the appliances are working well. The manager is very accommodating and friendly and we felt comforta...

One man show indeed as he is the only one who takes care of the guesthouse. It is very near bus stops and CU which is convenient store to buy all stuff and T-Money which is very important in South Korea, that with google app for knowing the bus number to your destinations, near underground passage way to cross the street for Namdaemun market, 14 pieces socks to 10,000 ...

1. The location is great! It only takes a 3-min walk to the subway station and to the bus stop. 2. Before flying to Seoul, Korea, I sent several questions regarding my 4-night stay, and I received quick replies from the staff. However, when I checked in on the first day, the staff was able to speak some simple Mandarin, which is great, but, when I tried to asked som...

Stayed here with my sister and regretted that we booked only one night. For a guesthouse, I think it has the most hotel-like standard I've experienced in South Korea. Our room was simple with two beds, TV, a dresser, and a spacious bathroom. But there was plenty of space to move around and it wasn't suffocating even though we didn't have a window. Breakfast is a feast ...

The house just near Hongdae . And he provide everything you may need. Even if you suddenly needs some other help. I can personal promise you that he will definitely do everything that he can do. ( but I’m not so sure if you need to pay more or not) the house is clean and quite. And it’s big enough to open two huge suitcases but still got place to move. I know to stay o...

Expected a hostel like accommodations but was surprised that it was more of a luxurious high-end hotel! Upon check-in already was given a great site to see in the lobby area, where you can see the nearby ocean by the window side! Booked for one night in a all male dormitory. There were four beds and bunk style. Very elegantly presented and very clean! Shower and to...

1. Location is on a flat land, a rarity in South Korea. 2. Just behind the busy alleys of Myeongdong, but still quiet. 3. 5 minutes walk to the Underground Stations, Taxi stands and Airport Shuttle. 4. 15-20 mins walk to Namsan Orumi (leading to Seoul Tower) and Namdaemun Market. 5. 10-15 mins taxi ride to most of tourist attractions (Jongno-gu and Yongsan-gu area) S...

I found the staff named Hyun/Voon (correct me if spell your name wrongly) and another staff named Jun. Both of them were very keen and helpful in showing me the way to the places where I want to visit. Hyun/Voon even cut me some coupons for the place where I'm going to visit to enjoy more discount on the entrance fee. TQ very much Hyun/Voon. Beside, he also recommended...

Location is excellent: Just 2 min walking from Hongik station - exit 3 and 5 min walking from Hongdae shopping street. The room is clean and comfortable. There are enough facilities for a short trip such as Microwave, washing machine, hair dryer, shampoo, body shower... The host is very enthusiast and adorable. She welcomes us at Hongik station, exit 3, guides us to...

I've been visiting Korea for the third time and stayed in Maxtyle for the second time. Guest rooms are large and very clean. Beautiful and attractive scenery from outside the window. Have a courteous and kind staff. Located in the heart of the city. Easy to access the subway because there was so many subway station around it. You can choose whether you want to exit...

The name of this place is a bit misleading. It is actually a full hotel, not a hostel. I knew that when I booked, but just want others to be aware. All individual private rooms with their own bathrooms, no dormitories or anything like that. The room was clean and had a great view of the Han river. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the two different men I de...

Thanks so much for your kindness,i love to go back to your hostel if i come to korea again. 1. Best service The owner Ms Park very kind and help us to tell about what all we want to know. She give us surprise with bouquet of roses for our honeymoon gift, thanks.. We really appreciate it. 2. Great room The room is clean and very comfotable. 3.Good location the location...

Breakfast is free, though we always head out to eat. Too many good food in Seoul! There is a famous cafe opposite DW, the best chicken I had in Seoul around the bend, and a terrific 24/7 pork rib soup after the traffic light. The staff were the most friendly I have experienced in the entire South Korea, although I did not really like our room, as it was in the basement...

I travelled to South Korea with my husband and 3 kids. One of which is a an almost teenage who is into Korea Boy Bands. To satisfy my everyone in the trip I have scheduled a hectic itinerary to please everyone. PHILSTAY in Myeongdong gave us a comfortable respite from a very tiring day. They also provide instant ramen noodles, cereals with some garnish and bread with ...

Stay the first night and we felt so comfortable... We left for a short trip to another town, and we thought it would be best to stay here again. Everything is so comfortable. So we eventually repeat our booking after our short trip in another town. It would be complete if there's public kitchen/breakfast lounge for relaxation.

Kimchee Sinchon Guesthouse has the most friendly atmosphere that any hostel can offer compared to other guesthouses I have stayed on. The moment I reserved my booking from Agoda.com, I was contacted separately through email by their staff confirming my stay with them and offered assistance as to what particular need I may require prior to my arrival. Upon check-in, the...

It was my first time in South Korea. I did my research and although i know where 24 Guesthouse is on the map, i cant be certain on how great is the location. Let me tell you this, the location is perfect, right in the heart of Myeongdong. I know there are probably other parts of Seoul that is great to stay but as a first time visitor and a solo traveler in Seoul, it wa...

My stay was overall good. Checking in was not a problem, and the lady was kind enough to give me so tips and pointers that really helped deciding what to do. As for the room, I felt it was ok. It had everything I needed plus I used to live in South Korea so I wasn't bothered by the bathroom being so small. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for an i...

Good for money. Good location between myeongdong and chungmuro. Can literally go anywhere and everywhere from there since its the central. Guesthouse host is very friendly, very welcoming, and would go out of his way to help you do the necessary bookings or reservations fr attractions. The only con is that the breakfast variety not there, only cereals, bread and jam. ...

My first time travel in Seoul. This location is quite good! Bunk in the room is cozy and comfortable! They offer eazy breakfast such as toast and milk for free at dining room 24hrs a day. Besides, staff can help us to home delivery food previously at nighttime which was a great life experience as a local people do in Korea! Staffs and owner are very kind! They make yo...

I did the self check in as I arrive after 11pm, but it is easy to do. The room are bright and clean, warm floor, feeling better than hotel actually. Drinking water provided for the stay. However, some noise from outside was found in the morning since a construction work there. Overall, really good experience. Excellent location for my shopping route to Hongdae.
Cheapest hotels in South Korea

You are a 30-60 seconds walk (depending on the traffic light) into the digital beating heart of Seoul. An endless feast for your eyes is literally right around the corner. But it’s not SO close that the noise from the massive crowds of people make its way to the hostel. I originally planned to stay here one night because I didn’t have a fixed itinerary and wanted to e...

This place was a great start to our trip to Korea! The owner is very friendly and it's near the War Museum and the subway. And a good value for the breakfast and free water. It can be tricky to find, but it's new so hopefully there will be a bigger sign in the future.

Value for money Each time I go to South Korea, I always stay here for several days. What I like the most is the bed room is spacious & clean. Baggage storage is provided free of charge so I can leave my baggage when I go to another city. It's on Hongdae but far enough from the crowded area so I don't hear any noise, screams at the night like what I experienced on anot...

From the check in, greeting with welcome beer. Staffs are very friendly and shared Korean dishes, it was so touching and delicious. In the common area many games like dart, billiard and foosball table, video game enjoyable. Local cheap beer with kpop music was awesome, easy to make friends in there. Art paintings even in the bathrooms, 3d feeling sharks and dolphins sl...

I stayed here for 2 weeks and met new friends from Malaysia, Japan, and Indonesia. Close to subway station, convenience store, walking distance to Myeong Dong and DDP. It's quiet, clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to South Korea.

Very nice facilities, and exceptionally clean. The only downside is they basically kick you out for 4 hours each day from 11am-3pm while they clean the place, rooms and lounge area. If you're out exploring the city that's fine, though if you're expecting to be at the hotel it's a little inconvenient. This place is only a couple minutes walk from Busan train station, d...

This is my first time in South Korea, it is really lucky to have chosen such a nice hostel. The owner of the hostel is Mr Lee, who is a really nice guy, he even cook fast noodle for me and teach me some very useful korean sentences. Next time, when I go to Seoul again, I will still stay in is hostel! Give some advices to Lee: u need more sports!!

Was here for a mini trip to see some friend in Paju then might as well go to Seoul for a few days on my own. The place is just as expected. Given the price, you cant ask for more in Seoul. The place is easy to find, i suppose everyone pre-purchased a data sim card to get online upon arrival and google map will get you here easily. A steep curve on the way up but i ...

I had a wonderful stay at the Cocoa Guesthouse. The staff are very welcoming and they engage in small conversations to make you feel at home :) The guesthouse is very clean especially the bathrooms and shower and there is an enough number for every floor. I went there during winter season the only downside is, it doesn't have centralized heating but they provide a he...

So I'm a solo traveler and I looked for an affordable priced hostel in South Korea. Luckily I found this Yakorea Hostel in Cheonggu District in Korea. The price is very affordable. I took the mixed dormitory type room cause for me what's the sense of booking a solo room when after all I'm out the entire day. And I love to be in a mixed room and so I can make chit chat ...

They let me stay in a two bed room dorm even though I booked a four beds dormitory. And I was there by myself. What a nice surprise! There's unfortunately no window though (maybe in the other rooms, I don't know). The bed got cleaned every day. There's enough bathrooms available and they're clean. There's a small and free breakfast (toast, eggs, jam, orange juice). The...

It was great. We had a mishap with the reservation since they had no rooms available for some of the days we booked (site mishap) but mamas and papas staff did their best to accommodate us and make us comfortable. They made the trip a success and I don't regret booking and staying with them at all. They showed us some great places to eat like base camp and they took us...

* cleaness for room and not smelly , toilet , and bed and blanket was soft n clean . * Location near exit 3 hongik subway which is very near to airport line (direct line from airport only cost 3.850 won .. Hohoho ) * free breakfast (orange juice, bread , egg etc) . freakfast was good . * value of money for this hostel compare to other * owner was very awesome , she ...

the pop at itaewon is a nice stay. i guess you pay for location, though it wasn't that much - but it is a guesthouse. like i said, the location is good, but it's a little hard to find, tucked back in some small streets with shops - the directions given didn't tell us which subway exit to take so we were walking in the wrong direction for a bit before we turned around. ...

I think that it's kind of difficult to find a decent place in Busan (especially Haeundae) that's not too expensive, or if a place is cheap, it's full of sleezy people. However, D Plan Space Guesthouse is very decent and doesn't break your bank! It's a little pricey for a hostel, but that's because of it's awesome location (5 minute walk from the beach) and because it's...

We had a bit of a hard looking for the place when we first arrived in Busan, BUT the owner (or one of the owners) was kind enough to pick us up in McDonalds. He saved our lives. He was so nice and accommodating. a definite 5 star in my book. Take note, no additional charges or whatsoever, it was all just a value added service.

I stayed in this guest house 3 days and really like this guest house. It's located nearly the subway station (just 3 mins by walking). The reception is really nice, speak English well. The housekeeping is super nice, friendly eventhough she doesn't speak English (I haven't seen any friendly housekeeping like her in Korea, I wanna say thanks to her again). They provide ...

The owner is very nice and she comes to the guesthouse in the morning and at night daily to make sure everything is alright. The guesthouse is very clean since the owner clean it everyday. She provides all the bathroom stuff and even skin care products. This guesthouse locates at the corner of the Main Street in Hongik University area, but it is quiet at night so it en...

My best friend and I love this place. Mr Kim was really friendly and helpful with the luggage, maps, attraction places and even tell us which buses and trains to get. The location is really strategic, although it is hard to find for the first time. Mr Kim took the struggles to look for us as we went a bit further ahead from the house. We took the private room, and love...

Having been staying in most of the guesthouses in Itaewon, I would say this is probably the best! If you are looking for a budget stay, then this is definitely the one! It has all the basic things you need. And the room is at least more spacious than those you can find in Itaewon (FYI, I stayed in this double bedroom). They also have very simple breakfast (bread with j...

I love this hostel so much. I was a bit lost at first but found my way. The hostel is pretty much near the Hongik station Line 2 Exit 8. It was 30 minutes before closing time when I arrived and gladly I was able to checked in. The staffs are friendly and super nice. Love it! I booked for 1 bed in a 6-bed dormitory but the manager(?) gave me a bed in a 4-bed dormitory (...

A place like the Hi Korea Hostel is something very hard to find in Korea. I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. They really tried to make every guest feel at home. There is lots of travel information and maps available, free high speed WiFi is definitely a plus, and the rooms and facilities are brand new and clean. The best part - it co...

Very closed to Jungang Station exit 3,walk to Nampo just 5~10minutes,check-in after 16:00 in first floor is a coffee shop, breakfast from 9:30~11:30, special is now doing, problem is everyday same, the traveler have move out everyday between 12:00~16:00 can't stay in your room because of clean. Place was located in Hongdae and was near the subway station to and from the airport! Food and shopping area are just minutes away, and the staff were really friendly and nice. The room was rather spacious for a dorm room and lockers were provided so you can put your smaller stuff inside. Toilets were clean too! Will stay here if i visit Korea again (:

Firstly, the security of Bluefish was beyond satisfactory. Lighting of front desk and corridor was luminous which leave a good impression. Owner was very passion and check in time was flexible. Room was spacious for 2 adults. Self service breakfast was fascinating with full equipped kitchen, eggs, coffee, tea, orange juice, toast, strawberry jam and butter. According ...
4-star hotels in South Korea

This place is very well maintained and clean. Just a simple overnight stay in a clean hanok and also close to Gyeong Ju National Park. Not much amenities but has everything you need for the price. Value for the $ is excellent! I am a picky 5-star hotel traveller but this place was quite clean and satisfactory.
