Best hotels & accommodations in Vietnam

Throughout our whole trip, ever since the moment we made the booking with Chill Box, to (even after!) the check out process, the staff never ceased to make sure we were taken care of. The location is very central. We were smack in the middle of HCMC District 1, only about a 15 minute walk from the Ben Thanh market and all the other major attractions. On this walk, w...

Excellent small hotel one half block from walking street. Many restaurants within 5-10 minute walk. Front desk speaks perfect English and was beyond helpful .. thanks guys! Room .. and hotel .. are spotlessly clean. Bathroom has tub with shower .. and curtain. Very hot water! Toiletries and blow dryer are provided. Small fridge, hot pot, instant coffee and tea, and tw...

I would like to clear this for future people thinking about booking this hotel, this hotel is located on a street full of bars that goes on all night. If you're a couple and don't like the night life, you definitely shouldn't stay here. There's plenty of other hotels. This is the backpacker area with a lot of bars, tourist office and everything you need on this street....

This is located in the middle of Night Life Street. If you like to drink, it is the best place for you because you may get up to hotel even you're drunk XD. If you're not, it's abit noisy with the sound which last until 7am. It's clean, fair facilties, just good in space and friendly staff.

this hotel was more like a family hotel although I paid like any paying customer they treated me like I was a family member and I truly appreciated that. they all made life there for me easy and some went above and beyond to make sure I was welcome. always a smile and never a frown. I will be going back to Vietnam and that is where I will be staying.

Great value for money, huge room and the family who run the villa are lovely and couldn’t do more to help. I left three dresses in the wardrobe and flew out to Saigon, they organised a courier to arrive within 24 hours to my hotel which was fantastic. Breakfast every morning was great and th Vietnamese coffee and omelet was the best we had in Vietnam. Thanks again Bana...

The name say homestay, but it feels more like a small luxury hotel. The rooms were very clean and the shower was the best one we had in Vietnam! There's an excellent breakfast every morning until 9h30 (For the late sleeper like me, it would be better to extend it a little bit, but well... It was still perfect). This place is really great for te value! One of the best s...

Saigon, first of 3 city tour of vietnam. A couple's 3 days 2 night stay. Room was compact however fit the requirement of a basic stay. Strategically located within 10 mins from backpacker street and ben than market which provided a jump board for these once-is-not-enough places to get your drinks/massage/shopping. The customer service was top notched just most of other...

The kind and caring staff really make this place amazing! breakfast is 10/10 Pool is welcome in the heat. This is not a 5* large and impersonal resort, this is a small boutique villa/hotel setup and much better than a large resort IMHO. Yes, the location here is really good, the beds are comfortable and An bang beach at this time of year beats Old town hands down. Be...

We booked Presidential Suite, giddy and excited about the personal bar the Presidential Suite has compared to other suites - also, expecting to have fully stocked bar as they have advertised in their site... We arrive late in the afternoon, hot and humid from the motorbike trip to find the bar with Complimentary Rice Wine, water and coffee, and not as "Fully Stocked ba...

The location of this hotel is perfect with a very short walk straight on to An Bang beach. This beach is a gem in Vietnam, it's clean, the water clear and the vendors and amenities are plentiful (without being overbearing). But back to the hotel- it was clean and fresh with a wonderful relaxed feel. The staff were super friendly and their english very good. We were als...

Perfect for families, groups and single one that's looking for peaceful sunrise mornings and more. The white Sao Beach is still probably one of best beaches in Vietnam. But most of the adult Vietnamese people and restaurant owners has no respect for keeping the area clean. It's lot og garbage everywhere and the cafe and restaurant owners don't care for keeping their ...

Easily the most beautiful place we stayed in Vietnam, very modern, crisp and clean accommodations while still being perfectly comfortable and welcoming. The location couldn't be better on An Hoi island, about a one minute walk to the night market and a huge selection of great restaurants, and maybe another minute to the main drag of bars and lanterns and bridges and ma...

The best accommodation out of four other accommodations I had on my recent birthday trip in Siem Reap and Vietnam, with layover in Bangkok. The room is so clean, spacious and well-decorated. The homestay attendant is so kind and accommodating. They even promptly reply on my queries before my trip. The location is less than 5-mins walk to the ancient town. And for the...

We booked this quite late, and around holiday time, so we were worried that it wouldn't be one of the best options since many places were booked already. However, we were really lucky because this place has an incredible view in a very peaceful location. The place is very far and isolated from the rest of town, and it is a bit hard to find food nearby but the view and ...

I booked a standard room at Lien Hiep Thanh because of the price and because they have their own strip of beach. When I got there, I also found a few convenient stores, bars, and restaurants just a couple hundred meters up the alley. These were the main factors contributing to my satisfaction. Rooms at other places were more expensive because of having more amenities I...

We stayed at Tea Garden with our four kids. This place is a gem; our favourite place that we have stayed in during our 2 months in Vietnam. Location is great; one street away from Ancient Town, and An Bang beach is a bike-ride or short scooter ride away. The building, gardens, pool and rooms are beautiful: high ceilings, dark wood furniture and floors, oversized wind...

After traveling in Vietnam for two weeks, this was the best hostel I stayed at hands down. It is not rated at 9.7 for no reason. Lin, the hostel owner, have a vast amount of experience traveling herself and put that knowledge to use at Travellers Nest. The bed is very spacious, clean and comfy. What is even better is the living space. The common lounge is very convenie...

We had a wonderful stay at An Bang Beach Hideaway. It was a little hard to find, particularly as there is more than one location within in the same neighborhood, so we actually ended up at An Bang Beach Retreat. As we were led to the new location I was a little worried that this might live up to our expectations... But thankfully these doubts disappeared when we arrive...

First of all, the Earth Villa Hotel is beautiful, super clean and very cosy. But what really separates this place from all the others is the staff. From our arrival, they hit the perfect balance of being friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Their English was by far the best we had experienced in Vietnam. Another major point is that at all times they had ou...

Upon reaching, we are greeted very warmly by the reception. We had to make changes to our hotel booking and am glad that he is willing to try help us. Upon entering the room, it is very spacious. The hotel look like a resort where there are hammocks around. My entire trip I do not encounter any issues just the shower temperature is a little cold. Location wise, it is...

Very kind owners. They do everything for you. We felt very welcome. 1st day we got a free breakfast. They can arrange cheap transfers to and from Da Nang, half the price from agencies at the airport. He also helped us with the train ticket we had booked online that first did not work. Nice room (but make sure you get the one you have booked). Location is great, just ne...

I guess here is the best valued hotel in Vietnam for this price. Receptionist gives you helpful travel info. Free rental bikes available. Swimming pool. Lovely breakfast (liked omelette). Spacious and very clean room with a huge bathtub. We loved everything at this mini hotel! Highly recommend here to all.

Me & My Friends visited da lat for two days, we booked La Xanh Hotel, we were surprised to see the room size... it is really very big rooms, nice & very soft bed. Location is very good, very near to Indian restaurant "Ganesh" which is one of the best Indian restaurant in Vietnam. The hotel staff is little bit irresponsible, & they do not understand much English, in o...

Hi this guesthoise is run by a mative family originary from there. The guesthouse is spotless and the rooms the best I had in Vietnam. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, do not exitate to ask them advices because for me Mui Ne was the "scam city" almost nothing autentic left and very difficult to get have a local experience. They know all the real places because ...

We stayed 8 nights. Very CLEAN hotel, good staff, cheap drinks, highly recommended!During 3 weeks, we were in 8 hotels of similar prize in Vietnam - this one was the cleanest. One small issue is expensive laundry service 80k/kg + 20k/piece ironing. But you can make it on loads of local laundry services for 25k/kg (ironing included)

+ Good location Near the sea and you will get off the #18 bus at 'Hung Vuong', infront of the galina hotel, cross the way and go to alley, you can find the dive hotel. + Friendly staffs staffs were so kind, and they always smiles + Nice Massage quality and price + Good Facilities Not new, but hot water for shower, airconditioner works well. Towel and bed condition a...

Simple but clean and super owner!!! She speaks english very good... ( in some Vietnam hotels, they didn't speak english.... ) I forgot my passport in other city - she managed everything and helped me!!!- she phoned to my last hotel, manage cheap way to transport my passport to Mui Ne.... ( my old hotel, wanted to send it by taxi - 5 hours long...

Well I booked here for 3 nights for my vacation. I have to say this is the best ever hotel i’ve been to. The host was so nice, i feel so comfortable and welcoming here. What satisfied me the most was the quietness in the morning and I can totally relax here. The only disadvantage was that the small road to the hotel and it’s a little hard to find.

Sa is the original homestay entrepreneur in Bac Ha (he even gives back to the community by offering free trainings on how to start this kind of business), a kind-hearted man with a big vision about how to make tourism connected to real people and a community's lives. Since 2007 he has been building this oasis on the outskirts of Bac Ha. His wife and children are lovely...

Really great place and wonderful family! Beds are comfortable. Most rooms are situated around the common area which is very loud in morning with people coming and going and having breakfast and there is often karaoke at night (at a neighboring homestay). Bring earplugs. They cook meals here everyday. 50K for breakfast and 100K for dinner. There are essentially no other ...

After having so many people trying to rip us off in Vietnam I was starting to have quite a bad impression. The owner here helped to change. He really went out of his way to help us and even helped planning our trip a little further down the line. Very honest and helpful with funny kids with crazy energy levels. The room itself is simple and clean with everything you...

I've stayed for 4 night at the Mintea hostel and it was perfect. First we arrived early and we checked in at 9 am im the morning. The rooms are spacious (dorm) and the beds are very good. The staff is really friendy and can help you with booking a tour. They also arranged a motorbike for me! If I'm in Hue again this would be my first choice!

We weren’t the biggest fans of this hostel. there wasn’t anything bad about it per say... it just was not what we were anticipating based on the reviews. I think for a place like this it comes down to personal preference and price range. The cons: room had no windows except one out into the hallway. The beds were definitely firm. The towels had a slight odor to them. ...

This place is a great little find right in the heart of the action in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Get the stay with breakfast options, it's well worth it and cooked to order. Staff is very friendly, but will give you your space if you like. So say hello to them, and they will quickly be amazing friends and advisors for you. Beds are non-squeaky, soft and have plush com...

Such a great experience being with Mui Ne Garden !!! A comfortable, friendly and affordable place for backpackers. It takes only 3 mins to access to the beach, there is so many local shop and restaurant nearby. The room is quiet, bed is cozy with curtain providing private space that fit with ppl who wanna stay away other busy backpacker places. Apart from it, Mr Son ow...

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my stay here. Thanh and his family really care about their guests and do their best to make sure everyone I comfortable. DONT MISS FAMILY dinner, it is still the best meal I've had in all of Vietnam. Very reasonable pricing. We arrived around 630 am, were greeted with hot tea and breakfast and able to check in by 730 or 8 am. Yo...

Arriving on a late night train from HCMC we were worried we would miss the check-in time but after contacting the hotel they assured us it wasn’t an issue. Sure enough we were welcomed into a spacious room just before midnight. Walk from station was a little longer than expected (taxi might be a better option) and it was a little far from places for brekkie. Bathrooms ...

Yes, it's 4km from the city but if your a travel couple or a traveler looking for peace and quiet with exceptional staff and decent food then this is your place. This homestay offers motorbike rentals so its very easy to get to town, a fun 10 min ride and your there. Free breakfast items too! Delicious eggs, toast and fruit. Full menu for lunch and dinner. Tours offe...

This was the best hotel experience i've had after a month in Vietnam. Tri, the manager, is the greatest guy and will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you ask for. There are always cold cheap beers in the main room and Tri often cooks a full dinner spread for his guests for only $4! You won't get a meal like that anywhere else for that cheap. Tri's person...

Green Hope lodge is surrounded by jungle, it is very peaceful and beautiful place. Everything is clean and well maintained. The host speaks very good english and walks an extra mile in every possible occasion! He helped to arrange transport to and from the lodge, book jungle tours, prepared great dinner, provided lots of delicious fruits and done many more for us to fe...

I booked a room with mountain view and the view is very nice. Even if I would go to a coffee shop nearby for similar view, it costs me about 4 dollar. For now, I paid to this hotel only 15usd, I got nice room with nice view and breakfast. The location of this hotel is very convenient to any place; Cat Cat Village, train station, restaurants, mall, a square (my baby dri...

Only planned to stay for one night, but quickly changed it to two, as it was all our time budget could afford. Super friendly staff, that makes that extra effort for you, to feel the most comfy. Received a lovely welcome drink at check in. The bamboo hut was super nice! Very cozy, ok bed, and our hut had a Terrasse right on the river. Very beautiful place to chill in t...

My friend and I went to Dalat very early in the morning (about 5 am). The staff was amiable and helped us to have a nap in the dorm room before our room was available without paying any money. The room was like in the picture, well-decorated room, and very clean, and we were delighted when staying at the hotel. Definitely stay in this hotel if we have a chance to revis...

We arrived at hotel at 7am from a 13 hr bus ride, the lady instantly gave us cold water and we waited a couple of minutes for the owner to arrive, she let us check in early!!! We can not speak highly enough of the owners, nothing is a problem, all they want you to do is have a good stay. We booked our trips here which were cheaper than the town and they drove us to D...

The best value hotel in Cat Ba. Great location, if not the best, with awesome views of the bay. Restaurant downstairs with great food, and even better service. Rooms are nice, comfy beds and great accommodation. Owners are very kind and helpful. I have done many of the tours they offer- you won’t be disappointed! They also offer tickets to anywhere you need to go, all ...

I stayed four nights in the 6-bed dorm on the fourth floor. The place is clean, neat, and quiet. The location is great as it is equally close to the touristy areas of the city center and beach front, and the less touristy center toward the islands in the Cai river, where you can get great local eating. Staff is friendly and the bathroom has great hot water. Only downsi...

I was in upset after my mom passed away..I booked a room where there are 6 beds.its really warm and cheerful...!thank you china, Germany, Argentina friends who i did nopt know but they helped me to pass this sadness..!best wishes to all of you in Vietnam tour..!

The staff can speak decent English and they are very helpful. Right smack in the middle of everything, you can find food, bars, shops and massages easily. Just a 5mins walk to the beach where you can catch a stunning sunset :) The bunk bed is clean and comfortable, with privacy blinds too! Get a beer at the cafe downstairs and watch the locals go by :)

Seriously if you are staying in Hoi An you must stay here. It is the nicest place we have stayed in all of our hotels in Vietnam!!! A very quiet neighbourhood but free bikes when you want to go to ancient town which is a super easy bike ride ( all flat around there) 5-10 min away. The staff is so friendly. A personal email was written to me before our stay to see if w...

This find was a gem! It was the very best homestay that I have come across during my trip to Asia. The beds were softer and more comfortable than my bed at home! The only noise that I could hear was the sound of a gentle sea breeze blowing through the pine branches outside of my window. To be honest, I probably would have overslept had it not been for the amazing smell ...

I had a lovely stay. The Guesthouse is located at a very quiet neighborhood but close to the main center of the city where you can enjoy the view of the lake and the city market. The best thing about this place is the owner/manager who is very friendly, charming and accommodating lady. She has all the contacts for trustworthy cabs and tour guides. The only problem is t...

3 people. 4D3N. The staffs were extremely helpful and easygoing. They have this sweet smile on their face all the time. Even though I was told to change from a triple room to two double-bed rooms 2 days before I departed to HCMC, I was satisfied with the arrangment made by Richard (the owner) as he provided an alternative to accommodate our needs. Plus, the receptionis...

We absolutely loved this hotel- and would not stay anywhere else in Hoi An if we make it back to Vietnam. While the hotel is slightly outside of the "ancient city", it gives you the opportunity to surround yourself in a local area surrounded by rice farms- which we loved- and allows you to escape the heat, people selling things, etc. They offer free bike rentals (a sho...
