A great hostel for single travellers”
I travel to Shaq Bighouse when I was staying in Kanazawa. Although it is not situated near Kanazawa station, rather it situated near many tourist attractions include Ohmicho market, Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen. Simply take off the luggage and you can take just few minutes to walk there. The hostel is unlike what I lived in Japan previously. The concourse at ground floor is like a bar. People can eat, chat freely there. I can refill water, both hot and cold easily there. I remember the guests from various countries chat deliberately at the night I stayed in. The owner Shaq is very good. He simply introduces what the hostel have and the facilities I can use, and answer any questions I have. Another staff Mio is nice that she raises a good atmosphere among guests. For the dormitory. It is simple but clean, I can sleep well at 0000. The bathroom and toilet are also clean. Bathroom has shampoo, body cleaner, hair drier etc. That I dont need to buy additionally. The price for a night stay was also reasonable, given that it is a hostel with shared bed and bathroom. Afterall, this hotel are suitable for those who like to meet others during single travelling and get knowing each other well.

This hostel is within walking distance of the train station and is in a quiet area, but not too far from the sights. It was clean and comfortable. The second night we stayed, someone stayed in the room next to us and the walls are super thin and we could hear every time they made even a tiny sound. But the other night no one was there and it was quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.

If you're a foodie, you've come to the right place. Everyone is incredibly helpful. I had mistakenly thought I was to depart to my next city the following morning, but it turns out I was supposed to check out that day! Everything got sorted in a matter of minutes and I was so thankful for the assistance when I knew they were close to being sold out (I took the last bed!).

the location is good which is not far from town center. But the direction to the guesthouse is poor. It map is too small for the foreigner to find especially it located in a small branch road. i stayed in mix room. food is not suppled, not able to comment. The cleanless of bed dorm and toilet at 1st floor is good, but the ground floor still need improvement.

En arrivant à l'hotel, le manager de celui-ci m'a demandé de repayer une nouvelle fois le prix de l'hébergement car soi-disant, Agoda ne lui reverse aucun argent... Chose que j'ai fait, pensant qu'Agoda me rembourserait mais mes messages restent sans réponse... Bref, l'hotel est sympa mais ne vaut pas deux fois le prix. Donc quitte ou double si vous y allez, Bonne chance.

チェックイン時から暖かく迎え入れて下さいました。 一階が居酒屋になっていて、宿泊者は持ち込みok。カウンター席に電源有り。オーナーが海釣りをされ、釣果にも寄ると思いますが、太刀魚やホタルイカなど振る舞ってくださいました。 オーナーが他のお客さんと上手く繋いでくれたりして、ワイワイと楽しい時間が過ごすことができました。 ドミトリーでもベッドメイキング済み・WiFi・シャワー・洗面台・1階ウォシュレット・電子レンジ・ミニキッチン・枕元にライトと電源と小物置き有ります。 タオルは有料(確か100円)、ランドリー無し。 カーテンが閉まるのは上半身側半分のみです。ハンガーに服でもかければ多少は変わります。 当日同じ部屋になった人次第では、運悪くいびきや匂いに悩む可能性もあります。人と関わらず、アメニティ付きで個室のように過ごしたい方はホテルに泊まりましょう。 徒歩10分弱で着く尾山神社から、玉泉院丸庭園、金沢城公園、兼六園、21世紀美術館と流れるように観光地を周れる好立地です。 ゲストハウスとして充分な機能を備えており、ホスピタリティ溢れるオーナーが経営するステキなゲストハウスでした。 ありがとうございました。
