Anyway, wanting to keep travel expenses down, we used a guest house for the first time with three friends! We were shown to a completely private room on the third floor. (It seems there are also private rooms with connected ceilings.) The price was the cheapest among those close to the station, so for us, who have no particular preferences, it was more than enough! The room is small, but as long as we can sleep comfortably, that's fine! By the way, the mattress was soft and clean! There was a mirror and self-service water in the amenities, which was helpful. The staff were all kind, and we had a great time for two days. All my friends liked it so much that they want to stay again. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
Stayed here for 4 nights. The location is about an 18-minute walk from the nearest train/subway station, which might be a bit of a stretch if you have heavy luggage. The room was uncomfortably hot during the summer — there’s only one air conditioner for a room with 8 partitioned double-deck beds, which isn’t nearly enough. I wouldn’t recommend staying here during warmer months. The guesthouse itself is a typical 3-floor setup. The owner was friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage after check-out, which was helpful. However, we weren’t allowed to wait inside for our cab in the afternoon after checking out, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, decent if you’re on a tight budget and not visiting in the summer, but manage your expectations.
I was a traveler who stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days in early May. I didn’t have any plans to go around much, so I booked 3 nights just here, and it was really great! It's about a 15-minute walk to Hakata Station, and I think Tenjin Station takes about the same time. The location was really good! The lounge is not on a different floor and is right in front of you when you open the entrance, so I was a bit surprised (I ate cup noodles in the morning and beer in the evening here...) but I got used to it after 3 nights, haha. The owners are a Korean couple, and they were very kind, always recommending good places to eat or visit when I asked! One day the woman owner was there, and every time she saw me, she said I was so pretty and that everyone would be surprised if I went out like a princess... she kept calling me princess... It was a bit embarrassing but made me feel good, haha. Also, I happened to have a cold during the trip, and the male owner took care of me by giving me medicine and even served me water... It was touching, was this the kindness of a Korean? The period I stayed was all weekdays, so it was a bit disappointing that there weren’t many people, but on the other hand, it was nice not to have to play the shower room waiting game in the morning or evening. There are shampoo, body wash, foam cleanser, toothpaste, and a hairdryer available, but you have to rent towels for 100 yen each! This was my first time traveling overseas alone, and if I ever go to Fukuoka again, I think I will stay here! Thank you to the owners for being so kind during my stay :)
If you don't get lost at Hakata Station, you can get there in 10 minutes, and it can be a cost-effective option if you're just going to sleep. The bedding was clean, and I used a shared room with several people, but the air conditioning was sufficient to the point where I didn't feel hot. Being able to communicate in Korean can be a significant advantage if you don't know any Japanese, and they were friendly as well. I stayed in a room shared with others, and I never really had to wait when showering or going to the bathroom. However, please note that the shower usage time is limited until 24:30 for the sake of other users' sleep. When choosing a capsule hotel or guesthouse, one unavoidable aspect is the snoring of others, and although I stayed for three days, the first night was tough because someone snored loudly in various patterns, but the other nights were fine. Well, if you want to avoid these kinds of issues, you might have to spend a little more on a business hotel or Airbnb.

“Great people”
Staff seemed very kind most of the time but I had a few questionable interactions. WiFi was awful and never stayed stable unless you stayed in the lounge which had a curfew. Showers also had curfews but there was many people staying with few showers so the curfews and check out rush made it difficult to move around. Shower was ice cold 90% of the time. To be my most expensive stay of the summer, it was the least comfortable and least useful.
