“Best location and value for money.”
The most important aspect for me when traveling is the location of the accommodation, so I choose a place that is as close as possible to major tourist attractions and the places I want to visit. This accommodation is very convenient for public transportation. It is less than a one-minute walk from the Kushida-jinja-mae Station, about a six-minute walk from Gion Station, and only about seven minutes on foot from Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Additionally, I can walk to major tourist attractions in Fukuoka. The accommodation is located right at the entrance of the famous Kawabata Shopping District, and the elevated cloud bridge connecting it to Canal City Hakata is less than a 10-second walk away. The southern gate of the major tourist site, Kushida Shrine, is also less than 10 seconds on foot from the accommodation. If desired, I can visit Kawabata Shopping District, Canal City Hakata, and Kushida Shrine multiple times a day. Next to the subway station Kushida-jinja-mae, there is a large supermarket, Aeon Max Value, which is open until midnight and offers reasonably priced alcoholic beverages and groceries, making it easy to purchase meals and snacks. While it takes a bit longer to walk to the aforementioned subway stations, it is still walkable to the subway and JR Hakata Station, where I can access large shopping malls nearby. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the end of the Kawabata Shopping District from the accommodation, and once I cross the pedestrian crossing at the end, I find the famous Riverain Hakata shopping mall. The 7th and 8th floors of that building are home to the Asian Art Museum, where the permanent exhibition on the 8th floor is free, while the special exhibitions on the 7th floor are ticketed. All floors, including the 7th and 8th, have a small library, souvenir shop, and café. Additionally, there are various tables and chairs arranged in a spacious area for many people to relax comfortably, and free Wi-Fi is also available. The accommodation is also within walking distance of Tenjin. On the way to Tenjin, I can visit places like Don Quijote Nakasu, Acros Fukuoka, the cruise boarding area, the old city hall guesthouse, and Suikyo Tenmangu. Once I enter the center of Tenjin, I find several shopping malls, including Daimaru Department Store, and if I walk further, I can also visit Kego Shrine. It is not far at all to walk from the accommodation to Gion Station, which has famous Buddhist temples such as Tocho-ji, Shofuku-ji, and Jo Ten-ji nearby. It is also not far from Gion Station to Hakata Station. I can walk to all of these tourist attractions from the accommodation. In my case, I only used the subway when going to Ohori Park and Hakozaki Shrine, and I walked to all other tourist attractions. Moreover, the famous Hakata River flows right beside the accommodation, and there are several bridges to cross, making it very romantic. There are various local restaurants and pubs around the accommodation, especially in the Kawabata Shopping District, which has many dining options and shops, making it possible to enjoy meals, shopping, and strolls. Above all, the area around the accommodation is densely packed with representative tourist attractions of Fukuoka. The cost-effectiveness is excellent. This is not a capsule hotel, but a guesthouse that provides body soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and towels. The shared kitchen is small but includes a microwave, water purifier, utensils, and cups, with a small space for dining as well. Above all, it is a great accommodation for travelers who prioritize cost-effectiveness and location.
