Great quiet place to relax out of town”
Lah, the host did everything she could do to make our stay as pleasant as possible. She is awesome, great service! This is a nice place with a garden, some animals, a decent pool and a tasty massaman curry. Just keep in mind it is about 15 minutes by taxi from old town, and you have to call a taxi about 25 min before leaving. So come here if you want to relax and do stuff out of town, not if you want to walk through old town every day.
We enjoyed the peacefulness of lying by the pool or the option of taking a taxi into town. The staff there take excellent care of you and arrange for your transportation at reasonable rates. We were able to have Nut take us around to Doi Suthep (temple on the hill) and a waterfall were we were the only ones there that day. It was supposed to be a small waterfall but was larger than I expected. The morning breakfast was good. Omelets, pancake (much like a German pancake, flat), or French toast made to order. Also there was juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and toast. The pool was cold, but refreshing on a hot day.
Liam’s was a nice little oasis away from the hustle of downtown. Lah and our Nut were very helpful in taking us to the places we wanted to see. The breakfast was adequate for our needs and the small pool was nice to lay at after being on our feet all day. They provide you with a binder of recommended site and restaurants to visit, the ones we tried were all good.
Daphne is very nice and makes you feel very welcome. Her hotel is very clean and very charming. Loved staying here!
We had no reason not to go to this guesthouse”
Friendly and eager employees. Beautiful compact accommodation. Easily accessible and not too far from special matters.
A little oase in Chaing Mia, with good excurisions and facilties, not in the centre”
Nice place, thougtfull decorated Nice swimmingpool Good ideas for excursions Pratical things like possibility to uses phone for tuk-tuk, rent of scooters Not in the centre so you have to organize transport and breakfast could be a a little bit more varition (cheese, ham, sour yoghurt). Friendly staff and helpful
The staff (La) is amazing and will help you out with everything. She booked us a great tour of the temples, helped coordinate cabs/tuktuks to get to the city and really just goes above and beyond for all. The only downside is that it is a little ways out of the old city/downtown. It's easy to get a tuktuk to take you there and shouldn't cost more than $5USD but it's not within walking distance.
It was far enough from the busy city of chiang mai but a short tuk tuk ride away! It was beautifully well kept. Staff (especially Lah) were amazing :) pool was nice, open 24 hours too !
Quiet small resort outside the city”
Friendly staff, beautiful area and nice room. Quite far from the city center, breakfast a little poor.
Lovely, friendly and comfortable quest house outside of the city centre”
Liam's is an oasis away from the city centre. The owner and her staff are pleasant and always helpful. The pool and the gardens are a delight. The room is comfortable, with a good bed and shower and lots of hot water. If you're interested in being about 15 minutes away from the Old City, this is a perfect place to stay.
Everything is a taxi journey away.
Great place to start our holiday”
Good facilities a little out of town, but Daphne provides local mobile with contacts which are very reasonable. Pools cold !! Also check out Jooms Restaurant opposite on main road, hidden treasure. Maes supermarket also very good, great people.
Very nice and peaceful. Daphne and La were very welcoming and helpful ”
Excellent stay if you want peace and quiet away from the hussle and bustle of Chiang mai. The pool is a bit on the cool side but once you're in is very refreshing
very nice stay”
we only stay 2 nights but we could stay longer. it was very peaceful and lovely. thank you
Daphne was very helpful and organized. The location could have been closer to the city but she made it very easy to find drivers that would give us a good deal to get into the city. It was nice being outside the crowds.
An oasis away from the city ”
As soon as we entered the gates of Liam's we were instantly at ease. the clean, quiet, secluded environment sets the tone for the guests--I noticed everyone seemed very happy, we're reading, or peacefully moving about the grounds. Though it is a small trek from town, Daphne sets you up well to catch a reasonably priced tuk-tuk and even provides you with a phone to make calls locally! The rooms are simply immaculate. Instead of feeling like a hotel they feel warmer, more comfortable. The free water is served in glass bottles, which is a good health conscious and Eco-friendly boost. My one complaint is that we had to makeshift a fix for the shower head, because it kept falling down. The water pressure was also low. Aside from this I couldn't have asked for more.
Ha a 6 night good stay”
Good 6 night stay
Wonderful Stay Outside the City”
Highly recommend this stay at Liam's! Though it is outside of the city limits, you can easily rent motorbikes and get around with no problems. It was a lovely B&B and we'd definitely stay again in the future.
An oasis amidst the mayhem”
We loved Liam's. A little way out of the city centre but that's what we wanted. First impression was how lovely it looked and every time we returned, we were there for four days, that feeling never left. We were made very welcome by Daphne and Ron, and in the heat of March, the pool was a saviour. Thanks to Daphne's recommendation on which Elephant sanctuary to visit, we had the best day of our 3 week holiday at The Happy Elephant Home. Should we ever return to Chiang Mai, this is where we will stay.
