It is reliable and convenient.
Convenient. Service is good
The only thing that I feel need to change is the key card. The key card some times doesn't work

Giant Ashtray
Location , location, Location
Just finished a two week stay. Room and entire fifth floor smelled like a giant ash tray. Disgusting. Wiring shoddy with many things not working. Hotel saves money by using very low wattage bulbs. Room bathed in dingy yellow light at night. Hard to see clearly. Mattress was rock hard, like a half inch of padding on a board. I've never stayed at a four star hotel with such bedding. My back is still sore. Does not provide good rest after long days walking around the Beijing sites. Air conditioning is set by the hotel. Thermostat in rooms is for show only. It was 92 degrees outside in the beginning of my trip and my wife and I wanted a cooler and drier room. No luck. Lobby facilities and currency exchange were excellent. Very fair rate, better than banks. A four star hotel should have staff proficient in languages other than Chinese. They do not. Overall, I would rate this a three star hotel.

Not bad. Not too far from MRT
Spacious, Value for money and attentive staff
Pleasant but location can be a little bit out of the main city area. Overall was a pleasant stay.

Great Hotel, bad location
Price, Big room, Big bathroom
The hotel is huge, but doesn't look modern. When we check in, they gave us the wrong room as they explain the instruction is not clear of what room type we booked for. The room is nice but the location is really far away from any major tourist spots. Although it is 7-10 min walk from its stations. As beijing is really big city where everything is far away from each other. This made this hotel even more remote than we thought it is. The hotel itself is great, but if you are tourist, you might be better to stay in hotel near the zone 1 or 2.

Great Hotel. Looks better than pictures
The luxurious rooms. Beautiful looking foyer and restaurant. Easy access to public transport.
The hotel itself was quite a surprise, the pictures don't do the hotel justice it is actually much better looking when you see it in person. you can't get anything like that sort of hotel in Australia for that cheap. Even though the hotel is only 4 star, our room was much nicer than the 5 star. The only fault and it is only a minor one is that when we arrived, the Hotel didn't have our booking on their system, but it was sorted out the following morning after paying refudable deposit. It was a little bit annoying that they weren't prepared to sort it out with when we arrived. Overall the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful especially the maid who serviced our room daily and the guy who organises the external bookings for sightseeing train fares and other external activities. Catching Public transport was a breeze being a five to ten minute walk from Cashikou Subway (also looked like there was a new subway line being built right outside the hotel. The old Hutoungs around the hotel were also a highlight and are well worth checking out before they disappear as the place is mad with new construction going on everywhere. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of luxury at an affordable price. I'll definately stay there again, when in Beijing. If you want a more modern area though, look to stay somewhere around Xidan which is about 5 minutes away on the subway. Guidu is located in the older part of Beijing which I felt was more interesting.
