Good Location, Friendly Staff, Very Clean Room”
The hotel is a short walking distance from the pier and to everything you need. It has very friendly staff and very clean rooms. The fan room is about 12 square meters and comes with a private bathroom, a fan, a television and a clothes cabinet. It has a window for ventilation which does not necessitate opening the door for ventilation. The beddings are extremely clean. What more can you ask for more. Definitely a must for people who want value for money. GV Hotel Masbate exceeded my expectation.

Exceptional”
Nice and accommodating staff. The hotel is a little old, but the room was clean, AC worked fine, and it had cable TV. Wifi speed wasn't that great, but it's a budget hotel and I was out exploring the province most of the day, so no complaints. Location is great -- just a 2-minute walk from Masbate Port, and a few meters away from fast-food restaurants and shops. Right across the street is a milktea place.

we stayed here overnight to c atc h up the boat in the pier. you have to walk up stairs, no elevator. very tight hallway and dark, room are small but ac is good. good for backpackers and for those who want one night stay.

Low price, low expectations ”
It's a budget hotel...no hot water, wifi was great, staff ok, clean enough, visted in the night by a huge cockroach and later a 6" spider... good location. ...I would probably stay somewhere else next time.

The rooms are ok for their price. It's the cheapest we found for our schedule. The hotel lobby gives a poor ambiance. It's like you are in an abandoned hospital. There is also no guard on duty. Though the staff is very friendly.

Super dirty room. The walls are full of molds and cobwebs. You have to request for toiletries, even the blanket is 'warak' (tear beyond repair).

Very incomptetent, unattentive, doesn't-care attitude staff. False ad IRT to wifi setvices because it did NOT the whole 3 nights I was in there, and the guy in front even gave me a non-existent wifi password just to get rid of me asking him for their wigi services. Their bathroom is dirty, Lots of cockroaches and tiny red ants all over the infested bed and room got bitten by ants for 3 nights. Very disappointing indeed. They lied. DONOT STAY in GV Hotel Masbate ...

I felt unwelcome”
I arrived and as per rules if unable to print voucher presented my Passport as identification for check-in. The hotel person at first did not want to acknowledge as a booking option. After wasting 15 minutes I expressed dissatisfaction and told them if they do not want me to stay at the hotel to tell me and I would leave but would contact for refund. After this they found paperwork. I then was told that Passport was not good identification, so with more frustration I pulled out my four other identification cards and ironically my passport card was acceptable but not my passport. The pictures do not represent the room. There are no towels and only one of the two beds had a sheet. If you look at pictures you see sheets and towels. The shower is cold water only. Also if you do stay here bring your own water the water is not safe to drink per notice in the bathroom. When it was time to leave I could not find any staff for check out. The only positive was being able to find transportation to the airport as there were two drivers sleeping at tables in the lobby when I came down from room.
