Beyond the Blue Horizon is a small (7 room?) resort right on Haad Chao Phao beach. The beach itself is not the best, a bit rocky, way out at low tide, but the rocks and plants made for some decent snorkeling during high tide. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and hill ensures that the villas have a lot of privacy. As mentioned, it is on a hillside, so it's a bit of hike from the pool/restaurant to to top of the resort. The garden views are closer to the pool area than the sea view rooms, and our garden view villa had a lovely (partially obscured) sea view anyway! The villas are very clean, with stylish, modern bathrooms. Overall very quiet, though you can hear the music from the Pirate Bar down the beach. Not a big deal. The pool area and restaurant are lovely, the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Benjamin's Hut is located a distance a way from the main beach of Haad Rin, so if you aspire to party all day and night on the beach, this is not the place for you. Staff were always around to answer queries and tend to the restaurant when required. Plenty of effort is put into keeping the grounds clean and approachable, although the rooms have seen better days. However, for the nightly rate, there was nothing about the stay that disappointed us. The tide does go down a fair bit in the mornings, but tht is beyond control. Over all it was a fantastic, rejuvinating stay and would recommend it to others.

We arrived there kind of by coincidance, but it took us 2min to feel home. We stayed for 3 nights and will definitely come back. Value for price for a bungalow with a fan was perfect, staff (many internationals) was very friendly, helpful and nice to chat to, you get fresh coconuts from their own trees, indian food is delicious (best i ever had), the view to the white sand and turquoise sea together with relaxed music was just priceless! We enjoyed that there were No families and that it was Not too touristic. Also the neigbourhood offers a lot of other good restaurants and beaches, which can even be reached by foot. Just 2 tiny little things: it would be great to have some hangars in the bath and bedroom and a simple hammock on the balcony. Thanks for the amazing stay!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Seaflower. The bungalows were very spacious and clean and the deck out front with a hammock was great to relax in. The staff were all kind and friendly. The good was great we enjoyed both western and Thai food. It wasn't too crowded over all, but we were there during low season. If you want to party hard this is not the place, but if you want to relax and enjoy cocktails on the beach then stay here. We will definitely come back one day! Thanks Seaflower!

The villa is amazing and the owner is adorable. Since our first step in on the island we received a warm welcome from the staff and owner. They include a free pick-up from the ferry pier to the villa. The fresh fruits and the flowers on the table when we entered the house were really appreciated. The location is really ideal as you are not in front of the road but still only a few steps from it. The convenience store is a 2min walk away, the neighborhood is calm and peaceful, far from the islands nightlife. I wish we could have stayed more and lay in the Happy Smiley Pool ! Would recommend to anyone to stay there.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights over the New Year Period for the full moon party. The bungalows are around 45 mins drive from haad rin beach so far out from the busy area of haad rin. The staff are so friendly and helpful and will do anything for you. The internet connection is not great either. The bungalows were very small, the beds were uncomfortable and you had to ask for toilet roll. The rooms were clean and you get what you pay for here as most other resorts at this period will be more than double. I would recommened this place to people who want to be in a very quiet area of the island and who are on a very tight budget.

We stayed at a variety of places on Haad Chao Phao, and Jungle Hut Bungalow was the least expensive. I liked the front porch and hammock. It has a modest, lovely beach front. The beach is swimmable. The room was warm and muggy with fan only. It has an indoor bathroom with no ventilation, which keeps bugs out, but tends to stay wet and smell worse than others. They required a key deposit on arrival. This was the only place that actually did that. They didn't heed our special request for a double-bed, so we had to push two single beds together. The staff was not full of sunshine; however, the restaurant was usually full of people, so they must be doing something right. I'd stay here again if I couldn't find one I liked better. I wasn't thrilled, but it wasn't a bad experience either. The low price makes this place more attractive.

we book this small resort for two nights. the rooms had to be very nice a few years ago. they are now in worse condition so we tried to find other place for next days in koh phangan. at the end we realised, that we are quite happy here between very nice people who take care about us. the massage here was the best in my life. there is good sitting on the veranda where you can comfortable eat or work on laptop. the best quiet beach is next door and all the restaurants and bars around.

Seetanu was a very pleasant surprise. Having never been to Koh Phangan we didn't fully know what to expect from the island. The staff at seetanu are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had the "romantic" beach front bungalow. It was great. Good air con and fridge. Nice toilet and shower facilities. Seetanu bunglows is located in a prime spot just out of the small town of Srithanu, on Haad Chao Phao beach. Beautiful, clean beach and one of the better beaches on the island for sunsets. We liked this spot because its kinda central to the west side of the island. Perfect if you rent a scooter. 10 mins to the main town Thong Sala, and accessible to most of the island from Choloklum to Baan Tai & Haad Rin. Although people say its a family environment (and is mostly is), we still met plenty of people without being in the party areas, and the parties were easy to get too anyway! 11/10 from us.
