A disappointment and a huge waste of money
Good location
As a budget traveler I'm comfortable with simple amenities when price matches quality. However, Habira Hotel is overpriced and it's attitude towards guests is "be lucky you get anything at all." I would never recommend this hotel. The hotel's location is great and prices were understandably higher right before Passover. However, I expected more. Despite a mostly empty hotel, Habira gave me a room the size of a closet. I had to step over my luggage to get to the bathroom. The walls were scratched and the paint was peeling. The small table top wasn't attached to its supports. The smell of cigarette smoke and noise from the hallway wafted under the door at night. The sound on the TV was intermittent. The hot water took five minutes to arrive in the badly maintained shower head - a waste in a water-poor country like Israel. The hotel gave me one packet of shampoo for the week. I asked to cancel the last part of my reservation but the hotel refused since I had "already paid online.” Agoda’s website, however, says that such fees vary by hotel, meaning it is possible to cancel part of a reservation. The hotel offered to move me to a better room...for a price. Given that only 5 other guests were at the hotel, moving me to another room or offering a discount would have been an easy opportunity for Habira to show that it values its guests. I said paying even more money “wasn’t really worth” it, and the receptionist answered “Whatever you like.” Instead of feeling welcomed and valued as a guest, I felt trapped. Once the hotel had my money it didn’t care about the quality of my stay. When I booked a room in Jerusalem, I was willing to pay extra not to stay in a dorm. Given that I would have had the same amount of personal space and nicer accommodations, I wish I had. My stay at Habira was well short of my already low expectations, and I felt like a source of revenue rather than a guest. I hope other travelers will not make the mistake of staying there.

NIEMALS BUCHEN!!! Das Hotel ist eine unbeschreibliche Hotel- . Dreckig überall. Unfreundlichstes Hotel- Personal. Winzige Zimmer: 6qm = 1 Bett- Zimmer, uralter total verdreckter Teppichboden, dreckige Tapeten, kaputtes Bad, Müllreste vom Vorgänger im Zimmer, kaputte Klimaanlage, kaputte Fenster, Mücken im Zimmer. Schlaflose Nacht allein aus Ekel vor der Umgebung. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist eine Katastrophe: Dreckig, ungepflegt, Müll von den Vorgängern im Essen. Es wird nicht weggeräumt,geputzt oder aufgefüllt. Dem Personal ist ALLES egal. Die Preise sind unfassbar teuer! Für das 1 Bett Zimmer, für ein 2 Bett Zimmer wird das DOPPELTE verlangt! Unfassbar! Das Personal ist aggressiv, unprofessionell, inkompetent. NIEMALS BUCHEN!

הצוות נחמד, מיקום באיזור יפיפה, זול יחסית.
לנתי במלון לילה אחת בלבד. לצערי, החלונות של החדר פנו לכיוון של איזשהו אולם אירועים או משהו כזה, כי היתה מוזיקה רועשת עד הבוקר. מעבר לכך, הדבר הכי חשוב - המזרן של המיטה נוצר כנראה בשנות השישים של המאה הקודמת - אי אפשר היה לישון עליו. הרגשתי כל קפיץ וקפיץ. לולא החסרונות האלה - הייתי ממליץ על המלון, כי המקום מרכזי, האיזור מדהים, הצוות בקבלה מאוד חברותי. אך הלילה היה סיוטי.
