My mother and I enjoyed our stay at Habyt Studio!!! The tidiness and cleanliness are unexpected for a budget studio hotel!! However, we believe that there are some things that the hotel can look into it and make improvements. Suggested improvements: 1.The temperature of the heaters- not seem to be hot enough on the hot water faucet. 2. High bed rack- having a bit of trouble navigating up and down the bed- possible can get a lower bed rack . 3.Shower area gets wet easily,as there are no curtains or doors to close the area to prevent the other areas around the toilet to get wet-put up shower curtain or door at the shower area. Overall, it's a great place to stay and easy access to buses and MRT stns and near Zhongshan Mall was excellent!!!!
Stayed at Habyt Novena with my partner from overseas last weekend. The location is excellent – plenty of buses to different parts of town, and a wide range of food options nearby. There’s a coffeeshop, market, and Shaw Plaza all within walking distance. For the price, the room size is a real value for money. Everything was great overall, but the walls are quite thin. We were woken up each morning by the cleaning staff talking loudly while working – it would be nice if they could keep noise levels down during early hours. Special shoutout to the male receptionist and technician on shift during our stay. There was a false smoke alarm and a power outage in our room, but they handled it quickly and smoothly. They were hospitable, professional, and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for making our stay a great one!
I booked the Premier Studio for 2 weeks. The room was on the second floor with no lift. It is as described in the pictures. However, I didn't realise that it is facing a very busy 3 lanes road with traffic at all times. The windows are not soundproof and even when closed you can hear the traffic. I often got woken up by the early morning rush hour. I asked to move to alter room on the quieter side but was told it wasn't possible. Keep this in mind if you're a light sleeper. The cleanliness in the room also wasn't ideal, there were some hair from previous guests when I arrived. The room is cleaned once a week only. During the cleaning time I happened to be inside the room so I saw how it was done. Apart from changing the sheets, the cleaning lady just quickly wiped the floor with a wet mop and was done in under 10 minutes. No hoovering was done during the weekly cleaning. A wet mop alone won't remove crumbles and hair very well. It just moves them around the room, so I wasn't particularly pleased with the thoroughness of the cleaning, especially as it's only once a week. The place is over 15 minute walk to Novena MRT station so be prepared to take a bus. One night the alarm went off at 1am and everyone had to evacuate for half an hour before being allowed back in with no explanation of what happened. I believe it was a false positive as there was no fire, but it was quite annoying to be woken at that time. The laundry is expensive. SG$5 per wash cycle and SG$5 per dry cycle. It takes at least 2 dry cycles for a normal load (2-3kg) to dry. Other than that, everything was a described, no further issues.
Pros - New, clean - Easy check in and fast check out - Attentive staff, easy to communicate with - Comfortable bed, the mattress feels good - Has kitchenette, usable utensils - Has mini ref, microwave - Has 2 sinks, one for the kitchenette, one just outside the toilet - Toilet feels clean and has modern fixtures - Room feels smartly designed Cons - No elevator (though staff will help you carry luggage through the stairs - Room can feel small if youre claustrophobic or if room doesn't have a window (I recommend you get one with a window) Neutral - Walkable from Novena MRT but if you don't want to walk, can take a bus from Toa Payoh MRT - Buses can take a while - Near Zongshan mall - Has convenience store across the street but need to cross the highway at your own risk if you don't want to walk far Overall, had a lovely experience. I needed to stay here as I moved out of my permanent place and waiting to move to another country and the price and the amenities were great for such a stay!

This is my 4th time staying here (I’ve reviewed before, but they’ve made some changes, so here’s an updated review). Before arrival: Receptionist hours are 10 AM – 7 PM. If you arrive outside this window, you need to do self-check-in. Check-in is at 3 PM, checkout is at 11 AM. They usually email you about online check-in, but sometimes the email doesn’t arrive, so it’s better to message them on WhatsApp before you arrive, especially if you’re arriving outside reception hours, so you know exactly how to check in. During stay: After the management change, they no longer provide water bottles in the room, but now have a water dispenser at reception so you can refill your own bottle (just remember to bring one so you don’t need to buy water). The room comes with simple amenities like shampoo, body soap, and toothbrush, and now they also provide a hairdryer. There is also a jet shower in the toilet, which is very convenient. They also provide a microwave, electric stove, and utensils for simple cooking or heating food, which is helpful if you want to prepare your own meals. Location: Super strategic. There are 2 nearby FairPrice supermarkets (in Zhongshan Mall and Shaw Plaza), 3 nearby malls (Zhongshan Mall, Shaw Plaza, and Balestier Plaza), and 4 bus stops nearby. It’s a bit far from the nearest MRT (Novena), but the nearby bus stops make it manageable. Downside: There is no lift, so you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Since there are four floors, it’s best to bring a carry-on or medium-sized suitcase. The self-check-in process can be confusing for first-time guests, especially if the check-in email doesn’t arrive. I’ve personally helped two different guests who were troubled by this, so I hope management can improve this process. Another downside is room cleaning is only provided if you stay more than 4 days, so if you are staying for a shorter period, there is no room cleaning. However, you can get towel changes every 2 days upon request, which is a helpful option during your stay. Overall, it’s still a good value and convenient place to stay if you’re okay with stairs and clarify your check-in beforehand. Will stay again!
