Where to stay in Had Yao
Had Yao hotels & accommodations

This place is a little off the beaten path and, after a week near Ao Nang beach, was very welcomed. For whatever reason, we were upgraded to their largest room immediately upon arrival. The room was beautiful and stylish. We loved our three nights here. We met other great travelers and spent evenings talking and watching lightening storms. We had a driver free of cha...

This place is absolutely paradise. We stayed for 1 week and got the rest and relaxation that we had hoped for. it starts the moment you step foot into the property as you are greeted by the most lovely manager, Lilian. She went above and beyond all of our requests. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is absol...

On knowing that we were staying at The Beach, our taxi driver discouraged us and kept telling us all the way how it was really not the right choice. When we first saw the resort, we weren't truly impressed. It isn't much to look at and the villas look shabby from outside. HOWEVER, the rooms are actually really nice and big, and we specially loved the tiny room with the...

stayed here for two nights after a busy trip to railay area. didnt expect it to be this quiet, but we realised we werent even talkin loudly while havin our meals cos you dont really have to! ours was the starfish room, huge and comfy n clean n a bathtub right in the room itself! tip, bring some mozzy spray as they are quite abundant, but only if you were at the eating ...

Easy booking trough agoda. Paid €60 per night for the suite. Stay was relaxed but overpriced. Seaview suites dont have seaviews and the staff doesn not speak english. They say yes to everything but dont know what you asked. The beach of had yao is dirty so you need to stay at your resort. Thisgoes for the whole stretch of 7 km of beach. When we arrived we found out tha...

More about Had Yao
Had Yao means ‘Long Beach’, referring to the several kilometers’ worth of coastline fronting this peninsula. This is not the best place for swimming, but lounging or walking on the beach couldn’t be better. The view from Had Yao is spectacular, with Phi Phi Islands on one side and Jum Mountain on the other.
Most of accommodation in Hat Yao is in the four-star range. Private beach villas are scattered along the coastline here, and guests have the beach to themselves throughout most of the day. Aside from lounging on the beach or swimming in the resort’s pool, guests can also get out and explore the countryside. Locals derive their income from fishing (especially for prawns) and rice farming.
With a rented motorbike from any of the hotels in Had Yao, tourists can follow the country road along the coast. Old wooden houses on stilts are still a common sight here, and locals convene every Tuesday and Friday at the Had Yao beachside market. It’s a great place to pick up tropical fruits and vegetables.
